Your results look amazing mate! Very happy for you!

I can't wait for my own surgery in Dec 2024 with Dr. BF. I need 2 surgeries as I am a NW5V but I'm confident I picked the right doctor!

PS: Do you happen to know what density (grafts per square cm) Dr. BF implanted at, or even the recipient area in square cm2?

You sure did a very well choice with BF.

I'll ask about the density and get back to you as soon as I get an answer.

Right, but, maybe 150-250 extra could make a marked difference in appearance

    True.
But actually this would be to much effort for me atm and the price-graft ratio probably would be over the moon. :D

In case my hairloss will progress a little over the next years behind the transplanted area I'd be fine with a touch-up as a very conservative seconds operation. For me there's ne need to rush right now - I'll wait for BF final reply.

    Thanks for your assessment

I think it looks good but I agree, could’ve been slightly more dense

Yep, it could always (no matter how good the result is) be "better". But a hair transplant is in the end just an illusion of having a (partially) full head of hair. There's physically not enough hair in most donors to reconstruct "natural density" from your twenties and that shouldn't be the goal either.
    Still I don't want to sound like I'm complaining - I'm not.
To be fair, BF always said from the beginning a second operation might be needed to finalize the outcome. I'm waiting for his final check. But so far I'm very happy with the fact that I went to Portugal, to Bruno.

  4. Thank you for your last answers. Attached you will find the final result after 1 year and 1 month. Overall, I am happy with the result. I would have liked a slightly higher density in the hairline, but I am more than happy for the next few years that's for sure. I can wear hairstyles that were absolutely impossible before. The exchange with BF has always been there to this day - excellent.

3 pictures unstyled and in rather unfavorable lighting conditions.

3 images styled with wax in the same lighting conditions.

Thanks to everyone for supporting my journey. Wouldn't be in this position without this forum!

My only tiny criticism would be slight lack of density on the left side.  But overall great

    Dear @Calihome1,
thank you for your honest feedback. I know exactly what you are referring to. I have a few spots that are a bit lacking in density. As I mentioned, I see these myself, but for now I'm fine with it.
I'm even starting to notice "imperfections" in other people's hair that I never would have noticed before. Some of us (myself included) are probably looking for something almost unattainable because we are so extremely focused on our hair situation.  If it's a perfect result is very subjective I'd say, but I am 100% satisfied with the naturalness.

Thanks everyone else for their feedback!!

  6. Hello all,

lately I haven't really had the time or the will to update my status. Not much has really changed. Note from my side, I had to stop using Fin temporarily since 2 months due to personal circumstances. So far no acceleration of hair loss, but of course I'm worried. Will probably start again in 1-2 months.

For me the (probably more or less final) result is a big improvement compared to before. I have much more freedom after sports, swimming or in bad weather without worrying about the hairstyle. There are good days and not so good days, sometimes I'm very happy and sometimes I think, hmm, maybe a little touch-up wouldn't be wrong. Either way, I find the result very natural and now I just hope to maintain this status for years, better decades.

Cheers and thanks for the feedback so far.

Another top drawer transplant from Dr F.

Regarding your density concerns - you will only achieve maximum density from a 2nd procedure. I had a 2nd procedure and it just perfects the result.

    Hi Sitries,

as I said, I am already very satisfied with the result after 7 months. Thanks to BF.

You are probably right. I mean, your result is exceptional. In your case (you are a perfectionist, no offense :-)) I can definitely understand the reasons for a second transplant. Still your your case, obviously the first one, really supported my decision to go with BF.

Personally, I wouldn't take the risk of using the amount of grafts of 2 HTs for the first third. I would say that my hairloss is a bit more aggressive than yours, and even if Fin works quite well - you never know if you might have to stop at some point.

For most a HT is the illusion of a full head of hair.

  8. Attached is my current status of month 7. At the moment I can't find the time to take really optimal photos. As soon as I have more time, I will upload more comparable photos again.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the result so far. From my point of view, the result couldn't be more natural. But I think it lacks just a bit of density (comparing with the grafts that have been implanted), but I'm not complaining. The HT is still a huge positive change to my personal well-being.
BF said about 2 months ago that I should expect improvements until month 10-12. And I know that is the main consensus here. But for around 1.5 months I hardly see any changes, so I would be really surprised if something will change from now on.

Looking good from what I can see. Have you got any pics that have been taken outside of the car? It’s not the most ideal setting to see how it’s growing in. Thanks 🙏

    Hi, thanks for your reply.

As I you said and I mentioned before those pictures in the car are rather to my “advantage”. In bad light there is a visible lack of density. I’ll post some more photos (the ones in the bedroom with steady light conditions as always and a couple of pictures im “bad lightning”) over the course of the next days.

    Holy moly!

    Hi @NikosHair
Thank you for making this comparison.

Even though I think the 1st picture shows my situation in a rather unflattering light/perspective (+ before Fin), the change already feels huge to me. In month 3 I felt like nothing really happened and today I already feel as comfortable with my hairstyle as I maybe was the last time 10 years ago (if at all).

  11. Thank you very much for your feedback!

Attached you will find my current status after almost exactly 4 months (120 days). The pictures were taken right after a visit to the hairdresser. The light conditions of the shots are certainly to my advantage. Today I am satisfied with the hairline for the first time. It looks, in my opinion, already quite natural, even if it is still a long way to the final result.
I will upload close-ups of the recipient and donor area this weekend.
