I’m getting it done at Smile Hair Clinic. Dr Mehmet Erdogan and Dr Gokay Bilgin. I know a lot of people don’t like the low cost clinics, but they seem pretty legit and I’ve done a lot of research. For under $2,000 USD, a full head of hair and 3 night hotel stay with transportation (not flight) seems well worth it. Is there anything to be worried about in regards to flying after having a ht done?

Any guys here from outside of Turkey travel to Istanbul for their ht? I'm from the US, 29 years old and considering going in January by myself. I'd only be there for 3 nights. Anything I should be concerned about or aware of while traveling there? Recommendations would be appreciated too, though I don't plan on going out much - my ht is the only reason I'm really going. I'd love to hear any experiences going there.

Sorry for making another thread, I'm new and just have a lot of questions... Just wondering, for those of you who have had FUE, how long until you returned to work after the procedure? Did you tell people you worked with? And how long after the procedure can you wear a hat?

I know some people feel a certain way about low-cost clinics, but this one in Istanbul seems pretty legit. My barber knows people who went to Istanbul for inexpensive transplants and they had great results. They told me I will need about 3,000 grafts and offered me a package that includes hotel stay for 1735 euros/$1916 USD. The patient coordinator has been great in his email communication with me, answering all questions in a timely manner. I've read mainly positive reviews, and I've seen some people on YouTube who went there as well. After I emailed them my required photos, this was their response: The doctors are Dr. Mehmet Erdogan and Gokay Bilgin. I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge of this clinic or doctors, that maybe I didn't come across in my research. I'll post their website, instagram and some YouTube videos as well below. Any input would be appreciated, as I'd like to go sometime in January!

Thanks for the input everyone, much appreciated! As far as finasteride goes, no, I am not on it but I haven't heard good things about the side effects and I am pretty sensitive to medication. I take a few other meds for mental health related issues, so not sure if that would be good for me... As far as the transplants in Turkey go, I know that there are some sketchy ones but I've done my research and I found one that I believe to be legitimate (in Istanbul). My barber also said some people he is friendly with have gone and had it done with great results. The clinic I found does blood tests prior and everything. Hi everyone! I'm a 29-year-old male who has been experiencing some hair line recession and hair thinning over the past few years. When I tell people I'm considering a transplant, they usually say "your hair isn't even that bad!!" and maybe they are right. However, if you look at the first picture I attached and the pictures from how I currently look, you can clearly see a difference and I certainly notice it myself. I am ok with getting old, wrinkly, gaining weight, etc but I need my hair! LOL Anyway, I've been considering going to Istanbul for a transplant, as they have a very reputable clinic where I can get this done for $2,000 USD and that includes hotel stay and transportation to/from the airport, hotel and clinic. The first picture is of me about 8 years ago (age 21) and the other pictures were taken last week and today. The red shirt shows me with my hair grown out and no product in it. Blue shirt is me at work, taken today with gel in my hair (sorry, did the best I could with selfies lol). Let me know your thoughts, any feedback is greatly appreciated!
