  1. Dr path isn't that great imho on fue. I think even he might admit that . You need to think long term, don't get any work done until you really need it. You don't need anything done, your hair looks perfect as it is. In 10 years when your hair recedes more, you will have wasted 1500 grafts on a lower hairline That might be impossible to maintain. I had surgery done with path in November and he was pretty adamant I use FUT only . I think the reason being that he isn't an expert with that technique. There's no way in hell you should have FUT done for 1500. Look elsewhere for FUE; And yes all his techs do the work. And lastly, If I had to critique path it would be that his closures could be better. (Another reason for you to rule out FUT)
  2. hello, I had 4200 grafts done with dr path in bangkok in November And after my scabs came off , I had what resembled a buzz cut for about 2 weeks, But they basically all fell out. Which is what I expected . However, it now being 2 months later, I'm seeing new growth , albeit sparse That's a good 3 or 4cm long. Is this to be expected at this early stage ? I expected it to only start showing at around 4 months.
  3. I would recommend toplace . I used them quite a few years ago and have only heard good things about them.
  4. I have similar hair loss to you. Thinning on the top of the head, etc. I'm in CM now, but I was leaning more towards Dr Path in Bkk. Your results look really good; one thing that struck me as strange about Dr Pong, is that all his patients hair looks the same. theres a certain style to the hair that I didn't quite like, but I wasn't able to tell if that was just how the nurse combed their hair before the photos or not; whereas with Dr Path, it just looked great in general; but the photos on his website aren't anywhere near as plentiful as Pongs website. How is your density in the crown?
  5. great result. I hope I achieve your standard when I get mine done.
  6. Those results are appalling. I am really sorry you had this experience, it must be really painful. I am looking at your doctors results gallery and i am wondering if this is some kind of april fools joke? I hope you get a full refund and then see a doctor with better results than this! Truly I am astounded
  7. Thank you, I appreciate your advice. Just curious, but what makes you say that? sidebar: although I have often thought my hairloss pattern is different to what I have seen on forums... I haven't put much thought into it being related to something other than MPB... Not in the EU; I'm actually in the Asia-pacific region. You can import them illegally but the chances of them being seized by customs is so high, it's no longer worth the effort unfortunately.
  8. Hi everyone, this is my first post here. I've gone through different avenues in this hair loss journey... I was on medication a few years ago which I stopped after no longer being able to afford it. (I am in a country that does not allow generics, so you are forced to pay Mercks retail prices of $100 per month) I'm not working, as I'm still in university, so my income isn't high enough to get a huge amount of grafts; but it's certainly something I've now started to consider again after just recently (approximately 4 months ago) starting on Minox 5% twice daily and 1mg propecia daily also...(1 more month to go on my script, then I'm going to ask my dr for a proscar prescription instead which should cut my current $100 p/month cost to approx $30 a month!) anyway, that's beside the point as far as my question goes. I've made inital contact with a local HT surgeon and I can afford .. maybe 200-300 grafts at present what I don't know is, if that kind of number would give me a decent result. I like to buzz my hair to either a 1 or 2 and that's one of my concerns with the HT... If you buzz your hair, does it still look realistic? how many grafts do you think I would need to fill in the region of my hair loss, which in the photos s on the left hand side of my hair line. I'm not looking to bring my hairline down, i'm just looking to fill in the left side... As you might be able to tell there is still hair in that area, but it's sparse (this is the region which I'm using minox on) so it may grow out a little bit more in the next few months. I'm not sure... When my hair is longer, the crown used to be reasonably thick... that was until this last year, when it started to thin out a bit... However, I'm hoping that the propecia can bring that back.
