  1. Hey eggott. Storming result for month 4, althought yor starting line wasnt bad, haha. Didnt you write that you were using topical finasteride before?? If you are now also using topical dutasteride, can you please write what percentage are you using and how many ml are you aplying. And also, how many days per week?
  2. Yo, team Its the end of my 23rd day. In the morning I had some help with taking pictures. Major part is about scar line. Feel free to post some comments/thoughts Note that I recieved an information that there is some sign of shock loss from gigasesion strip in the donor area. Wasnt that aware that this can occur. You can see some close ups above right side of my ear
  3. Yes. Glabella is a bone lets say between your eyebrows
  4. Hey man. Great 1 year results If its not pain in the ass, Im also interested of your measurment from glabella to, now, new hairline. Haha, if you can do us guys the favor. Mine was placed around 8cm from glabella. It would be an interesting information to hear your case, since you shared your face pics Cheers
  5. Hello Melvin and thanks a bunch for this video As I guy who is in his day 21 post op I Just want to repeat doctor Wongs words about topical dutasteride; Nothing too much to say, but the result are very encouraging. 1 per week application Little side efects Very small apsorption Last year prior to Ht I went to do a trycho test, or genetic test for alopecia. I was prescribed with topical dutasteride 0.25%with some other stuff in the solution, like Tretinoin. But they told me to do this every night! I would really appreciete if you can share your thoughts on this. Also, dr Wong didnt mention percentage of topical dutasteride he was talking about and how much ml does one use once per week. Also you said you will grab their solution. By that did you mean both fin and duta? Or just one of these I also suffered sides from oral fin. This topic is sure hot for me... Will be watching for New inputs
  6. As I understood the process, smaller punch sizes are used for grafts with one hair (like 0.7) and larger ones (0.8, 0.85, 0.9) for larger ones. Well you went for conservative hairline. I think this was very smart. Maybe its best to wait out the process at least for few upcoming months. Work on you seems fine.
  7. Hello team. Its a good but super hot day. Chillin in my rented room, hidin, playin ninja, haha. Luckily, there is internet to sweeten the mood. So, I decided to write a small input of what has happened to me in a sort of retrospective way. Its my 19th day post-op 1 post op day Well to repeat my words, just a few hours after my HT I was feeling down. Lot of thoughts about what I underwent.... etc. After hearing that everything went really good at the consultations I felt a Lot better, but that feeling subsided in the afternoon. Also to add, my voyage from Schaffhausen to a place called Blumberg-Kommingen was stresfull (guy in the train didnt know where I need to go, whatever....) because there is no strait connection-it takes just 20 mins with a car but I was riding for almost 2 hours and changed 2 trains and 2 buses.... Got to my new accomodation, realised I was again alone, no support, just fresh unknown faces around me. I was still feelin pretty low, but ofc not the lowest possible. 2 post op day Worst day of all the HT experience. Huge sweling, forehead plus my cheekes. My head looked like rhombus. So much bloodflow, haha. Emotionally I felt a bit better but that concotion of uncertainity with sweling wasnt reasuring. 3 - 4 post op day After waking up I felt a lot better, physically and especially emotionally. Swelling was reduced. Third day for some 30-40% and fourth day for about 70-75%. Its hard to give an asessment. But my sleeping was pretty lousy. I was waking up very early in the morning, sometimes at 5:00 or 6:00. I was still sleeping with neck pillow. That thing binds you to a certain position which is good for grafts but not for a full nights sleep, haha. Days 5-12 I think my swelling went away completely on day 6, but its hard to tell. Was eating very good. I think I started sleeping without 45 degrees slope at day 6 Also. Or was it day 7.... Im sure that the first time I used a very loose baseball cap was at day 7. Didnt really want to overpush it. I usually didnt feel my strip scar during the day, but did felt it after waking up. Sometimes I was having a small pain at my right side, but it wasnt something to worry about. I was still using my neck pillow. Day 13 I went to staple removal and another consultation. 68 of these little fuckers were removed. To be honest staple removal was a bit painfull. I had more pain than during the anesthetic needles. But then again, no biggie. Doctor took some pics. Will post them when I recieve them. Also, they commended me for a good job with shampooing aftercare. I think my scar looks really good, and its improving with every pasing day. There was a small wound from staple on the far right end but it should heal nicely. Maybe an unusuall stuff for some of you, but they did buzz cut all of my transplanted hair to combat pimples and ensure better posibilities for cleaning (as I understod it). Day 15 I went back to my country. Again on 16th I felt worse, but I think it was just because of that stress I had in the bus with all these people. Not really sure when shedding of transplanted hair started to happen, but its pretty obvious on 19th day. Had a few passes over with my hands and I can see it, haha. I think that more hair comes off from midscalp and hairline region compared to lets say vertex? Anybody has a comment? Im not dissapointed. Feel pretty good cause this is all part of a process. Gonna do a slight haircut on saturday and will keep you posted. Cheers
  8. Hello Urbanite88 Im a newbie into posting other patients, but I just wanted to comend you about your write up. I found that few things were rather similair to my case, neglecting the fact that you did FUE (FUT myself, 17th post op day). About that inner voice. Just my guess, maybe Im completely wrong. But if you were feeling down for a day or two, or during some hours of the day.... Dont stress about it. You did a good job, the worst is over and you ll have a very interesting (and slugish haha) days and weeks in front of you. I was feeling pretty down 1 post op day. Again was feeling pretty shitty when I came back to my country (16th day). But when I look back at yesterday I just cant believe how could I feel that way, cause today was great! So that shift of emotions is very gripping but also a regular stuff. If i completly missfired about the inner voice, sorry Your writing was not dull. It was very informing. Also I would add tast you can produce great pictures. Head "needles" are prety common. I also had these. Sometimes feeling was pretty intensive. Did you have itching moments?? I was also Very nervous about sweating. But dont stress about it. I was moving from Switzerland to Germany and something very close to your case happened. It was hot. I didnt know where the f I was. I was terrified that sweat can fuck something. Although I had bandana over my head. I also traveled during Covid19 fuckdemic. I was really afraid that something bad will come up on border controls. Try to be chill about it Dont wory about thit stuff, everything will be fine. My post op check went really smooth Haha, I was also lost with how much presure does one need to use while tending the recipient area. FYI By the way, my FUT scar never really hurt. I was using a neck pillow for two weeks. Didnt get a lot of sleep. But Im now wondering what amount of pain does one experience during FUE cause I really wasnt feeling almost any pain. I took only 1 ibuprofen before sleep just for first three days. Just curious. If its not a secret, how old are you and are you using any meds? Happy growing man. Dont despair when these new folicules go away. They will be back after 3 months
  9. Some lousy cam work. But better than nothing Day 14th of post op. No staples Tried to take pics with wet hair to show how it looks behind. And one with normal dried hair.
  10. Thanks Trix. Loved your story also. Well my scalp was cleaned before taking pics but I can also agree that my HT was extremley clean. When I see my scalp just right now, it seems as almost nothing was done, except the redness (it isnt that big if I can be the judge of it)
  11. Sory, reposted the new info above with a lot of editing. So you can read about final stand.
  12. Huge difference and great improvement. You are certainly enjoying life to the fullest with your haircuts now. I would say as collegues noted above, that you still have enough material for more improvement. But I would say that your thinner crown area looks natural and that you are not in a hurry to transfer more hair over there. Just my thoughts
  13. Oh my God. I need to apologize guys. Im not a newbie in HT but I did make a mistake. Dont want to do a third post about density.... I already had two mistakes ffs.... I was rushing forward without consultations. I would like to give a final input about my density per square centimeters. Im afraid that I didnt put right graft count when somebody was asking me. Total surfaces covered - 177 cm2 I talked with Sever yesterday when i came for staples removal. This is the actual size of balding surfaces covered, beause i recently wrote that iz was 155 cm2. The thing is that I mentioned that my hairpiece was 12.5x12.5 which altogether gives around 156. But when I counted also the hair that covered my vertex area (I was also using some fibers in the back) iz was like 12.5x15 or around 187cm2. What doctors actually did, and ofc I agreeded to this, is that they placed my new hairline a tad bit higher. Thats why the complete area of baldnes was bit smaller than before while measuring my balding surfaces with the hair piece on. When I was reading last e mail that I got from the clinic I was behaving like a 2 year old kid Actually they sent me an input about zones they covered and not the graft density count. @SLA Sry man So, this is the final graft count. Hairline (which covers some 0.5 or a bit more of scalp) has density from 50-60 grafts per square centimeters Front part behind that strip is from 40 to 45 grafts per square centimeters Midscalp - 35 to 40 Crown area - bellow 35 Somebody could find these numbers a bit vague, but thats the way they do it. So as I stated before, Hattingen clinic really doesn t do these lines before an HT and doctors dont give promises of graft density beause they dont know what yield in the end they will the achieve. Thats why they also have a "stick and place" phase where they really put some final touch on areas that seem to ask for bit more grafts. But I really want to emphasise that I recieved a better fill in my lateral humps and the outer line of my vertex. Sever told me that the really try to predict to what extent should balding pattern continue to grow. At least for the near future. I would Also like to add that I looked at some graft math before I went to Hattingen. Maybe somebody will find these numbers given by Shapiro medical group usefull. As you can read, these numbers are for NW5 guys (I was one of them, ha ha ) https://shapiromedical.com/how-many-grafts/ So my conclusion is that I have a pretty good density in the front and something less for the crown. That was totaly expected. But given the huge number count of 6k+, overall Im happy with my results. When you divide 6274 with 177 you get 35 grafts per square cm. If you disperse them on cue ball without using some HT artistry. So, probably somebody was polite when he didnt said to me-hey man, do the math first. Given my numbers and bolding surface I think I can hope for a really good result.
  14. Hope this is the right stuff Just rolled in via e-mail, thanks to Carmen Pre op pictures from 16th of June
  15. Its my 7th day post op I know this stuff is again from my phone. But maybe some pics will do some good
  16. Agreed. With larger balding area you need enormus amount of grafts to cover it. I think that this density will work. And especially that it is expected. I knew I couldn t had a 60+density all around my cue ball. Im tired now. Ill try to take some pictures of scar area tommorow. Keep in mind that I will have some help in ensuing weeks to shoot everything properly. Cheers
  17. Just wanted to say what happened after my HT. So on the 18 th of June I had a conversation with doctor Sever. We discussed some topics. Also I was shown how to wash my hair. Afterwards I got my post op kit. During the HT days there was a lot of adrenaline. I was feeling really fine, was in the mood cause I was waiting for this to happen for years and months. Finally, when HT was done, the first day was a downer for me. I mean, we all know that you need to wait for results for so many months. But you have all this questions in your head. Did I did things right? Was it worth it? How will my hairline look? How will I look? And you need to count that I was a hair piece guy... So there were a lot things on my mind. My trip from Schaffhausen to a place called Kommingen was boring and came with a dose of stress. I took a train from Switzerland and was told wrong information by the guy that works inside train... So my voyage was prolonged by 45 minutes. I just wanted to lie down and relax. It was pretty hot outside. I was wearing my bandana and just wanted to go to bed. Here I met some new people. I realised that Im in a foreign country. Now alone and felt exposed after the operation. I really missed everybody. My parents, friends, my girlfriend.... So the first day was bit shitty. And also my forehead had swollen. It wasnt too big but I started to feel presure... Next day (2 day post op) when I woke up, that feeling of insecurity passed me But there was another problem. I knew it would happen. But not to what extent. When I woke up i felt all this blood in my head. It felt in a way like a volcano. Sometimes I thought that I will develop a flu or at least get a cold. I wasnt burning up, dont get me wrong. Then I realised. My head grew in size and it changed into a diamond shape A pic of this shitty phase that was happening yesterday https://ibb.co/gwZqxNT https://ibb.co/4TBjYGm I dont know can you really see it. But the feeling was pretty bad. So whole day was pretty bad for me. The second day post op was by far the worst day. It was thougher than the first or second day of operation,if I can to a comparison. I think swelling became bit lesser at the end of the day. But my scar region started to be painfull. So I took one ibuprofen. Didnt sleep very well. Its almost full 3 days post op while Im typing this. Emotionally, I feel a lot better. Also my diamond cheeks almost went away My head is still really swollen but the whole physical situation is improving. My forehead is still swollen but its better. I think that my scar line was also bigger yesterday, than today. I sometimes have a small pain in my scar area. Also I have tingling sensations all over my head. Sometimes it feels like Im wearing a cap. Sometimes it feels that is numb. But all of this is expected. So there is a concotion of stuff. I still need to sleep with 45 degrees elevation. But Im really looking forward to cross this day also, cause from tomorrow my grafts will be securely placed and I will start to wash my recipient area with more energy and movement. Looking forward to move at least for 3-4 days into the future so that this post op situation diminishes and I can start to act in a more normal way.
  18. So. I also discussed this very important topic with the team. They didnt really do these lines that you can see sometimes by certain doctors where it is stated: this region, this number, this region that number and so on. Dont get me wrong, they did the outline of hairline, tuft zone, midscalp and crown. As you can see from the pictures, my area was quite large. I said to doctor Sever that prior for my HT I was looking at some graft count inputs, like Shapiro medical group were they discuss how many grafts is needed for a certain area. I will also be chatting about this on 30 of June when someone from the team removes my staples and does a check up on what has happened. That said, team informed me that the overall plan was: (you need to note that Laura did an estimate after the first day that I will have from 5500 to 6000 units) Hairline - 50+ in density Midscalp - 30+ grafts per cm2 - also to add that the lot of 3s and 4s were used in this area Crown - around 30 grafts per cm2 You can check the prices at Hattingen web page. I did bleed a huge sum of money man I can add that I wanted to be finnaly freed of my hair piece. I worked for 4 years to have this sum. It wasnt easy at all. Biggest thing I had done in my life for sure
  19. https://ibb.co/yhRXc42 https://ibb.co/vhzLvxt https://ibb.co/NVJbrDW https://ibb.co/crCf30V https://ibb.co/BzFjFm3 https://ibb.co/vPMFY29 Note that theese pictures were taken by myself using bad camera on my smartphone with a pretty lousy light. As I stated above. Will wait for pictures that doctor Sever did with his camera. He shot the first pictures on 17th with the hairline and 1/3 of scalp done. Second pictures were taken after my wash on 18th during post op consultstions. I will have a short break and then Im gonna tell you what has happened in last two days, ending the first input with todays general physical and emotional stats Also, you can probably see on these pictures that my forehead ih swollen.
  20. Yep. Will upload the pics from my phone that are at my disposal. Dr Sever took pictures after the first day when they did 1/3 of scalp. And then he also took pics day after the HT on 18th. No point in writing if I dont show the pictures. I am still waiting for docs pictures. In the interrim will post something that I shot
  21. 17th of June Day 2, phase two Day was more or less same as yesterday. Not to repeat stuff. Chatt, pills, lying on my stomach. Only now two strips were taken. Left side Bit more than 1700 grafts Right side Bit more than 1800 Same things happened while preparations took place. Anastesia, little pain.... Cutting and sewing back. When the first grafts from left strip started to come, Laura alone did the midscalp area. She told me that she will implant a lot of 3s and 4s in this region, because it is very important to build an image of fullnes here, along with the hairline part and frontal tuft. She had some help at the end by tehnicians. Again a break, nice lounch. Grafts from the right strip were prepared. Again Laura and team worked their way from midscalp to crown. I saw some of the action in the mirror. There wasnt really lot of blood. I was just asking about some things and Laura replied that she is building that swirl part, so i shuted my mouth I saw a lot of crown work on other forums, hope mine will also look neat. So since they did a maxed FUT on me, they had a complete plan and sticked to it untill they reached a full coverage. After everything was complete, the last phase started. I asked if they can implant some more grafts in my temples. There were 50 ones (1 hair) left, so they did a very small coverage with this material in my temple zones Then a "stick and place" phase started. Explanation is that they used remaining grafts in the areas where Laura felt there was need for more grafts. Second day was longer. My back started to hurt a bit but I really started to feel my neck. At the end it wasnt so bad, but this operation lasts and lasts... In the end you need to be concentrated on the importance of everything that comes later and push the boredom out of your system. End count as follows: My Big FUT was at last a GIGASESSION Laura told me that everything arounf 4500 FU is a megasession, and above that comes a gigasession Graft count Singles: 382 - 6,08% =382 hairs Doubles: 2271 - 36,19% = 4542 hairs Triples: 3027 - 48,24% = 9081 hairs Quadruples: 594 - 9,49% = 2376 hairs Alltogether 6274 grafts = 16381 hairs Average hairs per graft 2.61 On Hattingen pages it has been said that average count of hairs is 2.2 In the end I had a great harvest. Everybody said that in the next months I can expect great results. We shall see
