Hello HTN community. I am writing this thread almost after 10 months since my last update. I have completed 20 months of my 2nd hair transplant with Eugenix. I have been experiencing massive hair loss again from last 1 or 2 months. I never stopped taking finax 1mg. I am also regular on my multi vitamins. Still I am not able to figure out why this hair loss is happening to me. I almost lost 80% of hairs transplanted during 2nd time and look like that I have reached at stage as I was before my 2nd Hair Transplant. I recently consulted doctor. He said, this hair loss is cyclical and that i should wait for 2 more months for these hairs to regrow. He also suggested taking Dutasteroid 0.5mg twice a week for 2 monthhs.
Dutasteroid? Has any one has experience with it? Is it safe? The name itself contain 'Steroid'

1 Year post second hair transplant .
One year is completed since my second HT with Dr. Pradeep at EUGENIX Gurgaon. I think now my looks are more or less final, with no expectations for further hair growth or 3rd HT procedure. As my hairs were thin and had weak donor area, I think I got pretty decent results. There is still some bald areas around crown but can be covered by combing hairs in particular direction. Sharing some pics of my results.Thank you all members of HTN for you support and feedback.

Thank you, @budhair for sharing your experience and photos for this latest HT.
Your crown looks almost identical to mine, and I too will be having my crown worked on by Eugenix next year, and so I'll definitely be following this thread and thinking positively with you every step of the way.
I hear that crowns are the toughest area to achieve appearance of decent density, however, just 6 months in and the top of your crown (as in the part closest to your hairline) is already starting to take shape and look filled up. As we're still far away from the 10-12 month mark, I personally think that this much progress so far is excellent. Really encouraging result thus far. I can only imagine how great things will be in 4 months time.
Keep the mindset strong and positive, and look forward to some brilliant results!

Just wondering why are you taking Finasteride as its not for the new transplanted hair. Are you taking it to keep the existing hair in good form?
Thanks
Taking Fin to block DHT and hence providing more favorable environment to new hairs and to prevent further hair loss. It's true that transplanted hairs are immune to DHT but there are always chances that few hairs are transplanted from unsafe zone and hence may shed due to DHT.

I am infact positive and more than satisfied with my results so far, considering super super fine hairs I have and poor donor area I had.

7th MONTH UPDATE
Hi All. Didn't update for 6th month progress as nothing much changed from 5th to 7th month. As stated before, HT is just an illusion and 5000-6000 grafts cannot compensate lacs of hairs that have already lost.1st Sending you pics of my wet head then secondly posting you pics of my dry head( and looks drastically changed) and finally some pics(last three) with dash of cabooki where looks are almost perfect.

Budhair,
Thank you for your regular updates. I really appreciate your efforts. So in both your first and second surgeries, extractions were done by doctors other than Dr. Sethi and Bansal? It appears that Dr. Sethi and Bansal have only done the slits. I believe technicians do the job of loading grafts in to implanters, and inserting them in to scalp. Please give some details on who actually did what.
Thank you.
You are right Torip. Slits were done by Dr. Sethi and Dr. Bansal. Extraction was done by Dr. Shishir and Dr. Abinav. Rest of the work was done by technicians.
Hope this would help.

It was more or less a team work. Dr Sethi made the hair line drawn. Dr Arika and Dr Sethi both did scalping. Extraction was done by Dr Shishir and Dr. Abhinav in turns and insertion was done by technicians.
I am already post 5 months since my second HT with Eugenix for my crown area. You can check my relevant thread for updates.

Are you taking finasteride? It really helps in controlling DHT. In your case your best bet is body hair transplant. Go for a doctor which has good track record for successful BHT. You can find abundance information regarding this on HTN.
And why not come to INDIA. Plan your holidays and HT procedure together. In this way you won't feel the heat of transportation cost.
Best of luck.

I am done with HT. Now I have to accept whatever results I will get. Eugenix took my case when other surgeons were sceptical about the transplant. Now I hope for satisfactory results.

2 Months Update
Completed 2 months and 2 PRPs after my second HT at Eugenix. I must say doctors at Eugenix do excellent PRPs with minimum pain.
Now back to my progress, I think donor area is showing sign of 5000 grafts extraction during the course of two HT. I already had thin and fine hairs and now with so much extraction, donor area looks deserted. But I think it will look better with course of time.

Hi mosd
I can always vouch for Eugenix because of my own results so far. I am 2 months post 2nd HT with Eugenix. You can see my results posted on HTN.
But as fellow members said shortlisting a HT surgeon is always a personal call and results are also dependent upon your donor grafts and lifestyle.

Also would like to know if anyone has seen any negative results from Eugenix on this forum so far? Was looking and haven't seen anything too troubling. I have seen on their website that they use a method of FUE called Direct Hair Transplant. I'm wondering how much of a difference does this make for results and how does this compare to Dr. Bhatti's methods? Does anyone know if Dr Bhatti still uses scalpels during his FUE procedure?
Lucky for you to be on NW3 stage at this point. I am sure you will have great hairline after the procedure. Both the surgeons are recommended on this forum and I am sure that because of their credibility.
As far as results goes it may vary from patient to patient depending upon quality and health of donor grafts.
Apart from results, while chosing one among two, also take into consideration other factors like how easily you can communicate with your surgeon, cost of surgery, distance of the clinic.
I chose Eugenix for both of my procedures after taking into consideration above factors and of course because I was NW7 and needed lots of beard grafts which Dr. Bhatti was not comfortable with.
Best of luck.

Hi bruce90
Did you send your pics to both the doctors to assess how many grafts and sittings you will be requiring?
It will be important as Dr. Bhatti generally do not perform more than 2000-2500 grafts per sitting.

10 days Post 2nd HT
HI members. Today i am posting my crown pics post 1st HT in 2017 and 2nd HT on 26th Nov 2018. I could not spot much difference in two pics except the fact that more beard hairs were used at the time of 1st HT and more head hairs during 2nd HT. Lets see what will be the results this time.

Hi
Before transplant, last year on 15.10.17, I got my testosterone total level test. It was 477.5.
Since November 2017, after 1st hair transplant I am taking finax 1 mg continuously.
Now yesterday when I got my testosterone level test done it came 309. Almost on borderline.
Do you think it is due to finax? Or this testosterone level is normal for 40 years old male?As far as side effects which I can feel is that I reach fatigue early while in gym and I am putting weight.
Kindly advise

Hi guys.
I got my second HT done at Eugenix yesterday by Dr. Arika and her expert team. This time I was more informed and less anxious by the way things worked. The day started with usual pre HT photo shoots followed by head wash any trimming of donor and recipient area. My frontal hairs and side burns were left untouched so that I may easily wear cap afterwards. Surgery started at around 11 am with Dr. Arika making slith marks. Though I had weak donor area, it was decided to use more of head hairs as compared to beard hairs as they need to fill crown area. Total 2400 slith marks were made by her in the beginning. Followed by around 1500 grafts extraction from head and around 900 grafts from beard. At the end another 100 grafts were extracted from head to fill the gap between grafts already planted and slith marks were made simultaneously. The entire procedure was performed with DHT technique in which grafts are transplanted simultaneously at the time of extraction. The entire procedure got finished by 6.30 pm. Sending you my pics post HT for expert opinions.
Thanks

Hi HTN community. Thank you all for valuable information and support that I have received during my 1stFUE hair transplant with Eugenix. I am pretty much satisfied with my results, considering the fact that I was NW6 and had weak donor area. For my complete 1stHT journey you may click below link.

Now I am considering my 2nd hair transplant to cover my crown area which remained empty after 1stHT. As an informed patient, I mailed my pictures to few doctors including Dr. Bhatti to get second opinion. According to Dr. Bhatti there are not enough grafts left on my head to go for second procedure. Then I went to Eugenix to let DR. Pradeep physically examine by donor area. He was pretty confident that he can take out 1000 grafts from the back of my head and 1000 to 1500 grafts from my beard to give decent coverage to my crown area. I was thrilled.
Soon I will be going for my 2ndHT to be performed at Eugenix. Will keep you updated.

hi bill
I have completed 1 year since my HT with Eugenix. I was NW6 and most of the Indian doctors who are recommended on this forum refused to promise decent coverage considering my week donor area and high Norwood stage. It was Eugenix ( which I came to know through this forum) that showed me ray of hope. I am pretty much satisfied with my results and even considering to go for second sitting. Their best part is they make best use of body hairs which are necessary in case of high norwood stage. I would highly recommend them.

You may also consider Dr. Pradeep at Eugenix Gurgaon. You may search his results on this forum. And may also Google him.

I had 2400 grafts in 2nd sitting. Read more about dutasteride. Planing to try it for twice a week.
