  1. I has smp done by a well respected clinic that used organic pigment and have done good work although in my case we added pigment to my recipient area 10 months post hair transplant to fill in gaps where grafts did not survive and just give an overall denser appearance. If I could go back I wouldn’t have done it. For the whole month following my first smp treatment my hair started to shed and the hair all over my scalp had thinned. Every shower I took more and more hair continued to fall out in my hands. Many proffesionals say that the needle does not go far enough into the scalp to affect hair grafts but I think they are incorrect. It’s been one month since that smp treatment and myhair has finally stopped shedding and the thickness of my hair seems to be back. As for the hairs that did fall out, I’m really not sure if those are going to come back or are gone for good. Usually when the stressful event passes your hair returns into the phase of growing back but I’m not sure if mine will or not. I will definitely not be going back for a second smp treatment due to the loss of hairs following my treatment. My hair shedding could not have been due to anything else. It was smp that caused my hair shed and an overall thinning of all my hair. Like I said it has regained its density but for a while there I was scared. I would just avoid smp anywhere near your frontal hairline being that it is the most sensitive area to hair loss. Stick to a hair transplant or dermatch make up for temporarily covering sparse areas. Hope this helps.
