here is the 1st pic. How many grafts do you guys think i would need.

I asked a doctor why he only does 2000 grafts at the most in 1 session here is his answer:

''It is possible but a lot of the clinics that offer 2500 grafts in one session split the 4 hair follicular unit into 4 grafts with only one hair, with me I would give maybe a smaller # of grafts but because I do not separate those folliclar units you will get a least the same number of hairs or maybe even more, usually I take a donor strip of about 28 to 30 cms and 1.0 to 1.2 cms wide and transpalnt all the availabe hair. I think you need to compare more the siza of the strip than the number of grafts, you will get more transpalnted hair with this treatment.''

Was this a good answer or should I stay away from this doctor.

I wanted to know around how many grafts I would need. I've been on generic propecia for a month now, and i also use topical fin too. I am 23 years old. Also in the pic i have my dreadlocks pulled back into a rubber band. Would i have to cut my dreadlocks to have a transplant done, i am only loosing my hair in the front.

His website is 600hairclub.com. I'm thinking about getting my transplant done by him. I would like to know your opinion about him.

The other thing after looking at my pictures he gave me a price quote in hairs rather than grafts. He said $5500 for 4000 hairs.

I really would appreciate any advice.

question two you guys. i have been using topical finasteride from genhair for about 2 1/2 months, and it seems like my hair is getting thinner. I want to try oral finasteride. Do you guys think i will have better results by taking it orally.

Would it be my best option to cut my locks off for now to make it easier for the doctor to do the transplant. Or is there I can keep them and still have the surgery done.

From the pics that I have sent to a few doctors. One doc told me I would need 1300 to 1500 grafts for $3/graft(VirginiaSurgical.com). Then another doc told me I would need 4000 hairs for a price of $5500(Dr.Yousefi from 600hairclub.com). Also his price including everything even the post op visit. I live in the DC area, and I emailed Dr.Vogel (who is listed on this site as a very good doctor in my area) my pics but he said I am too young for a transplant. Any other good doctors in the DC, MD, VA area.
