  1. I have had a procedure where temple work was done. My procedure was done 4 months ago (july of 2004) My temples are still red at this point and you can still see small holes where the grafts were placed in the temple and on top of my head. The skin on the top of my head and in my temple areas still looks a littl rough. Is it normal for this to last this long? Will the skin return to normal texture or will it become where it is not so noticeable? If so how long does it normally take on average? My temple work is still very noticeable at this point. My skin looks like the skin of a chicken that has just been plucked. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

  3. Tell your boss you are going through chemo. They will not dare ask you anything and will probably not care if you wear a hat. Its a lie but I know someone who has done this. He worked in a office. He even shaved his eyebrows just to make it look real. It was a miracle because he was cured :-) It is embarrasing if you cannot wear a hat during recovery so do not feel bad about that. This lie may or may not work for you but you never know. Good luck
  4. How many donor strips are taken out during a megasession (2000-3000 grafts)? Does it depend on the individual or is there an average? Is it typically more than one strip? Thanks.

  6. It was Dr. Scott Frazier and Betty Studier in Tulsa Ok. They did a good job (as far as I can tell at this point) but I would have rather received more grafts in one session. I am happy with their work but in reality 1200 grafts is not that many in my case. Maybe my situation is different than most others. I just dont know.
  7. How do you determine the right amount of grafts to tranplant in one session? I had one HT done and they only wanted to do 1200 grafts in the first session. I am a norwood 5 or 6 and I wanted to do at least 3000. I see pictures and read posts of guys in the same norwood scale doing 2000 or 3000 in one session. My doctor told me it was best to be conservative and see where my hair loss goes. I am 37 and I think I can see my range of future loss. What am I missing? Any comments would be welcome. Thanks.

  9. How long for Shock loss hair to return or does it? I am 7 weeks and 3 days post op. Just under the donor scar the hair looks much thiner than eveywhere else on the back of my head. I am assuming this is donor shock loss. Is this correct and if so how long does it take to come back if it does come back ? [This message was edited by cjking on February 29, 2004 at 09:17 PM.]

  11. Has anyone had small tender bumbs in the donor scar? Maybe just one or two? If so do you know what causes it and will it eventually dissapear? Also how long does it take on average for shock loss to come back in? Or will it? Any response is appreciated.
