  1. Nope. DHT is a major factor of MPB as well. Go look it up. Yes, genetics definitely has got to do with MPB. But upon further research, the causes of hair loss and the topic of alopecia is a broad one. We're seeing more and more people losing hair even when it's not genetically related on their side. I believe, with research, that you can't simply say that the way you live won't affect your health in any way, let alone hair loss. Anyways, peace buddy, I'm always open for a constructive discussion. I've been a minor hair loss sufferer as well so i'm really into this topic Save
  2. Try including Vitamin Bs and E. Always make sure that your lifestyle is in check and your diet too. This kind of natural regrowth usually takes 6 mths - 2 yrs.
  3. Full heat straightening doesn't sound good for your hair. Hmm how's your lifestyle like??
  4. Yo dude, I was in the exact situation as you! Noticed balding on the frontal when I was 20/21. I was a weightlifter, diets were crappy and wasn't getting enough rest. I suspected that my body was producing more DHT than ever. I've used DHT blockers and keratin shampoo. I've also adjusted my lifestyle and made sure I had sufficient protein everyday. I saw that you have grey hair problems and my best observation on myself is that my grey hair tends to fall off by itself when I managed to reduce my stress levels. I also heard that plucking them makes it worse...so yeap!
  5. Very sorry and frustrated for people who got scammed for exorbitant prices  Always look out for something that sounds too good to be true and promise you instant results....especially if they're charging so much! Go through enough good honest reviews on the product first before going for it. Stay well and alert everyone Save
  6. Hey, I notice M pattern balding when I was 21. I've used a more natural approach on myself and have ever since gotten rid of the problem. Basically, I realized that for me, it was a lifestyle problem. I was a weightlifter, sleeping very late at night and had crappy diets so my hormones was imbalanced and I learned that I was producing high DHT levels. Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is a number 1 hair-killing hormone. Thus, I actually changed up my lifestyle and made sure that I included sufficient protein into my diet. It will take more than 6 months to do it naturally but is is scientifically possible. You need to treat your scalp well and ALSO treat what's inside your body well. Hope I gave you useful insights buddy
  7. It’s official. We’re on a rising trend of people losing their hair. Worst still, most men and women are already noticing hair thinning or balding as early as in their 20s! And here’s why; It’s in the lifestyle that we lead. While it’s true that some balding patterns are genetically related, more and more people are losing the hairs on their head due to the lifestyle that they lead. Hair specialists and scientists puts down this problem to three main reasons: stress, pollution and poor nutrition. The average adult has up till a hundred thousand strands of hair on their head and it’s normal to lose up to 100 of them. Hence, finding a few strands on your hairbrush is not necessarily something to be alarmed about. However, serious hair loss, medically termed as alopecia, is a sign that something is wrong with your body. As quoted by an Italian scientist, Dr Falvio Ferrari, in a recent hair growth technology discussion,”While genetics plays a key role in balding, a stressful lifestyle can play havoc. Simple lifestyle changes such as, getting seven hours of sleep, having a glass of water every hour (strands are made up of minerals, which only water can replenish) and eating protein-rich foods at regular intervals can bring about an 80 per cent change.” Have a nutritious and well-balanced diet Hairs are made up of a protein called keratin. Hence, it is so crucial to ensure that your body gets enough daily protein. A lack of protein will force your body to prioritize the protein for other body functions such as rebuilding cells and muscles. Thus, your hair will be deprived of it’s most important element. Other than protein, it also important to take in vitamins and minerals that are especially good for the hair. Such components would be Vitamin B, E, Zinc, Magnesium and Iron. Some of the foods that contains pro-hair nutrients are fish, chicken, milk, spinach and various nuts. Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is the main culprit to hair loss While men are more prone to hair loss, the women of today are also losing more hair than the past because of the stressful lifestyle that they lead. DHT is a hormone that causes hair loss and they are present in men and lesser amounts in women. Stress is a major factor that drives the body to produce more androgens, which are responsible in the secretion of the hair loss-causing chemical, DHT. Oral contraceptives which are taken by women, can also cause hormonal imbalances which triggers hair loss. Drinking green tea is an effective solution to blocking out DHT.
