    I'm curious. I'm leaving for my surgery in 10 days. I told the doctor I don't want to shave my head because I have pretty thick hair. But I don't want him to shave the crown in order to work on it. Was it impossible to work in the crown with hair there? Every doctor I have talked to in the US says it won't be a problem to leave the recipient area untouched.

    Leaving for my procedure in 10 days. This looks amazing! Opted to no shave my head. Hoping I can stick with that.

    I had the same question. My meeting with the dr is nov 2. I will let you know what the outcome is.

    I asked this same question last week and I am going to see dr. Yaman on the 1st. I am not shaving my head for the procedure. I'm only thinning in places. When I posted on the other forum, most of the doctors said it was not necessary. I want mine as discrete as possible. Good luck.
