Thank you Melvin. I keep using finasteride and I am eating fruit and taking vitamins. Is it normal that the reddish is gone after 10 days? Because some guys say that reddish means "something is happening". My scalp is healed already and normal colour.
After a month I'll start using Rogaine Foam as you do. I want to get Nizoral shampoo as well but I am wondering 1 or 2% and how many times a week? The other days I'll use Sebamed Everyday Shampoo pH 5.5 like the one that Asmed gave me because it's really good for my scalp. Nizoral would be also after the first month. What else should I take and do?
I'll try to chill, I promise.
Nope I don't think there is a correlation between red scalp and the result.

Can you please advise who the 'quite a few' patients / cases are,? I've not seen them and would like to compare their progress with my own. Thanks in advance.
I'll pm you the ones i remember, i don't want to name and shame.

Tbh I'd be pretty disappointed with that result at 5 months as well. I've seen quite a few of these results from erdogan recently, i'm wondering if his standards are slipping a bit.

Looks good, you might be an early grower. Are you still using minoxidil?

That's not a maturing hairline, it's receding quickly.

Okay..
ill try and answer your question a different way...
i would NOT go with a surgeon that was not recommended on this site...even if it meant saving a thousand dollars.
There are quite a few good doctors that aren't recommended on this site tbh. There also are a few that are recommended on this site that are a average at best.
Just search for the thread where everyone names their top doctors and choose from there. I certainly wouldn't get a transplant in the UK though. Your budget may be a problem though as i think you'll need more than 1,500 grafts and going to a cheap doctor is a bit of a gamble.

uhm what? this dude has hair that women will be envious of.

I was just wondering is it worth getting in case something goes wrong with my procedure? Could you recommend any uk companies if so? Thanks.

Been back and forth with his people and just got the final word and its good to goSuper nervous right now can't believe actually going through with this
Not much of a traveler never even been outside the US
Just told my son and hes asking if he can come alone so wondering what a round trip ticket from South Florida to Cyprus might cost me ?
He's not a travel agent lol, just check online?

I've booked in for hdc at this month, I hope you don't mind me asking you a few questions.
Have you got any tips for the transplant like bring anything like a neck pillow etc?
How did you spend your time post op?
Did you go out much the first few days of post op?
Did you make your own meals?
Thanks in advance. Also good luck with your transplant.

Doctor diep will ..he be happy to take ur money n give u a good transplant .. that’s a why he always pushes for an aggressive hairline to get more money n also make u look ur best for the moment .. at the sacrifice of ur long term goal n potential future hairloss . . the conservative docs wants to minimize the risk n play it safe .. get a few consultations from other doctors however .. but if I were u wait until both ur transplants grow out completely , n hopefully u taking meds to stabilize ur native hair .. n see if u recede further .. u have less risk of shockloss into ur transplanted hair , so u should be able to get dense packing .. something That should of been done in the first place .. I don’t know why they didn’t do ur temple areas the first transplant .. 1750 grafts is not a megasession; 2500-3000 fue is a megasession nowadays .. it sux u had to go thru two ugly duckling phase already n still not satisfactory results ..
Totally off topic but why do you type like that?

They could be growing at the same rate but it maybe less blatant due to the contrast. For example lets say you shave your head and your hair grows by 2cm you will think wow its growing fast because you can see the difference from bald to hair. However when it grows by another 2cm you might not think the growth has slowed down because it isn't completely bald and you can't clearly see how much it has grown. It's kind of hard to explain if you get what i mean.

any updates please?

Yeh i noticed it straight away when he was on the joe rogan podcast, it's quite obvious i must say.
-
thank you for your answer.
Yes , sure my hair will become thicker in the newx months, but i think that i need abosultely more new hairs ( about 500-600 u.f. , so not only thickeness) to equalize my native density, don't you think?
It will never be thick as your native hair because your native hair has more grafts/hair than the transplanted area. It can however give the illusion that it is as dense. Most doctors advise you to wait up until a year to 18 months before your transplanted hairs are fully grown out, so you never know in a few months time you might be happy with the density.
-
looks very good man, it should thicken up over the next few months.

Is avodart the same as finasteride?
No, it blocks more dht.
-
Thank you for all your advice everyone - much appreciated.
I’m not rushing into anything and have much more research to conduct before I make a decision. I think I’ll probably wait another 6 months on the finastride to see what effect it has.
I would say that I have always had a relatively high hairline and probably started receding at 16 so it’s been a rather gradual process. Hopefully finastride should help halt or slow this process.
I agree on the hairline that someone suggested - looks much better!
Is there any difference between Dr. Farjo and Dr. Reddy?
Which method, FUT or FUE do you think would be most appropriate?
Thanks again for your advice.
S
The top two doctors in europe are Lorenzo and Erdogan. I would definitely choose reddy over farjo, but personally I wouldn't have a HT in the UK.
-
He shot me down as well, maybe you should consult with other top surgeons?
-
-
Any updates please?
-
In my opinion there is no reason to get a HT in the uk when there are better much surgeons abroad. Also with most of the Belgian doctors you have to be aware that they also have a 21% VAT charge to add on to their price per graft. Judging by your comments i advise you to do more research as well, I don't want you coming on here 7 months later with a botched transplant.
-
Does anyone know the best place to do so? I can do it from my bank, but their rates are extremely low it seems.
-
looks very good, do you ever plan on growing it out?

You're right sometimes technicians can be more skilled than doctors but how hard is it to find which technician is responsible for a bad hair transplant? Let's say you have 3 technicians who are involved in the extraction of a transplant how will you know who's the bad egg? This mindset could also creep into the technicians. If they mess up or are lazy with the extractions the doctors name and reputation is on the line not his/her. They may also think that they are doing all the hard work and the transplant doctor is getting all the money and praise. Therefore they are less inclined to perform to the best of their ability.
