  1. I want to know how many failures are there that don't make it to the boards? The ones we see, have any of them truly had the reasons for their failure discovered after the doctor examines them? Like, seriously? How can a doctor look at a scalp a year later and decide that it was the patient's fault or there is some sort of bug that killed the grafts? If they can see what prevented the grafts from growing, why didn't they see this in the original exam and just not do the surgery at all? It doesn't make sense but it's what scares me about even having a procedure of any kind. If you ask me, the patient has less to do to take care of the result than the clinic has to do to make sure the procedure is successful so these failures are statistically going to fall on the clinic's shoulders.

I also want to know how many patients started complaining and then disappeared. Has anyone considered this?

  2. I personally feel that in dr Bhatti quest to perform his "hidden" fue technique he has over harvested your donor region in a strip like fashion which has now obviously depleted your donor in a bad way

I'm not exactly an expert but what did the donor look like before the surgery? What are we comparing this to? When I look at the photos it looks like the hair higher up that is longer isn't very thick so does this mean he had low density already?

The idea of fue is that you can shave your donor area to at worst a grade 2 or 3 , some guys can actually get away with a grade 1 and not see any scarring ! I'm guessing that your hair is approx grade 4/5 and you still see the thinning .

You see thinning but not scarring, so it's still passable, right? I thought that was the point, that it would be difficult to see the scarring overall. I have tons more loss than vega did but I'd take this over a strip scar any day. I hope Vega finds his solution.

  3. Wow Voxman. You were a regular Rolling Stone back in the day. Great pic and great hair!

I've seen some Caesar cuts online after a hair transplant. I can't say why they do it but I've seen it done with varying success. Some look good, some don't, but it comes down to preference. If I had a bad hair transplanted hairline though, and I had enough hair, a Caesar would definitely be a way to hide it.

  4. OMG! I just went through your entire thread and am super impressed with your transformation in one procedure. Finding a doctor is a mind f*ck because so many people say different things that I don't know which way to go but you found someone that obviously did a great job so why would you even consider going to another doctor? From what I can see, it's like starting the research process all over and rolling the dice when you've got the closest thing to a blueprint for what will happen in a second surgery right on top of your head. If it were me, I'd start hitchhiking back to India if that were the only way to get back to Dr. Bhatti if I got a result like this from round one.

Toppik also did wonders for you. Have you tried Dermatch or a scalp application? I saw a video where they're all compared and it seems like Dermatch was the winner. You look like you have a full head of hair with it now so congratulations!

  5. Those gaps stood out a lot and now it looks like they've got normal amounts of hair. If finasteride turned around his retro then that is super impressive. Great result overall by Dr. Wong!

I think this surgery is labeled FUE on your website. Is that correct?

I just checked and they also have a result they label as FUE with about 6800 grafts but he really got 5800 grafts from a strip and the next day he got 1000 grafts with FUE. Does having less than 15% FUE grafts make it an FUE case? So of the five FUE cases in their gallery, one is completely strip, another is mostly strip so the remaining three are the only real FUE cases in their gallery, one by Dr. Hasson and the other two by Dr. Wong.

  6. Agreed. I was about to post to say that my original questions to Hairingiscaring weren't answered but it seems at this point he is more concerned about a victory rather than getting to the truth, whatever the truth is.

I still don't know what the actual problem is. Is he saying that mmac isn't a real poster? If it turns out that he is then Hairingiscaring owes Nicole a big apology.

  8. I haven't heard of Dr. Dua before but he obviously failed to deliver what you wanted. One failure? Ok stuff happens. Two from the same clinic? No way is it your fault. You have a right to be upset. I hope you get a full refund because you deserve it, and then some, since you've had two procedure's worth of donor hair wasted. Good luck.

  9. But, i don't know if a very good FUT surgeon = excellent FUE surgeon especially when they are just starting out.

This is my question but it would make sense that they'd be super careful with their FUE so that it doesn't ruin the reputation they built with FUT. Now they have some technicians doing the heavy lifting where it used to be the doctor. Now the doctor only makes slits for the grafts. That alone is what gives me pause because the techs are the new unknown factor in a great clinic. The surgeries are totally different so it's like starting over from scratch.

Dr. Couto looks incredible especially for patients with lots of hair loss like me. That is what's important for my own list.

  10. From the pictures I saw, I agree. This was never going to be a great result from the get-go, it needed nearly double the number received, so maybe it would be thin coverage at best. That said, it looks like even what was transplanted didn't seem to take that well so it will be very interesting to see if the doctor can figure out what happened. He has a solid reputation.

What am I missing? How could 4000 grafts on a NW6 be any better than this? The result looks like it was pretty darn good and Dragonfly said as much himself till it started going downhill so your opinion contradicts what I'm seeing and what the OP said about it himself.
