  1. How does ur whole hair seems so thick n high , with just a hairline transplant ? Did the native hairs also grew thicker or something?

    ..

Is this the normal outcome ? It’s what makes me want to get a transplant ..

I think it’s important to note that this patient appears to have very coarse hair. For me, I needed 4000 (!) grafts to get a dense hairline

Legend, is your hair coarse or fine?

  2. Hey everyone, this is my first time posting on this forum. One week ago I had my first hair restoration surgery, about 3000 grafts. I’m experiencing quite a bit of paranoia about whether or not my surgery was successful.

My surgeon didn’t mention anything to me about nicotine intake being detrimental for the grafts until the day of surgery. I’ve been a half pack a day smoker for the past four years so receiving the news that I have to quit all forms of nicotine very abruptly was a real piss off. I haven’t smoked at all since the day of surgery, but I was smoking quite a bit right beforehand. After doing some research, I’ve learned that it’s recommended not to smoke for a month before surgery, which is giving me some cause for concern.

After one week, it appears as though the density of my grafts have subsided, especially in the middle, but I’m not sure if everything is actually looking perfectly normal? So, please give me your honest opinions. Any feedback is much appreciated. I’m going to see the surgeon tomorrow but would like to get a non-biased opinion first.

The first photo is from day two and second photo is from day seven.

    Thanks!

I smoked through both of my procedures, and my results were exceptionally good. I wouldn’t stress it man :-)

  3. Digging up and old thread as someone asked about Turkish doctors and I had to mention Keser based on my research and your amazing results Gatsu with Keser.

Your shaved hair in the front is the best density I think I have ever seen and from where you came from this is really incredible, which speaks a lot about Dr. Keser and his mastery at density. There is no "illusion" of denisty here, you have thick new hair which looks great long or shaved.

    Gatsu before Dr. Keser:

Gatsu after 2 procedures with Keser (new grafts in mid-scalp from Dr. Lupanzula):

Also the new temple points make you look around 5 years younger and I knew it had bothered you as we had discussed it about a year ago.

Congrats on putting the final touches to your hair restoration journey.

Wow, wow, wow look how tightly-packed Keser is capable of getting. He’s my #1 FUE guy should I ever need FUE (though I’ve still got another FUT in me if needed)

  4. My completely unprofessional opinion?

Don't pursue hair transplantation unless you're willing to commit to meds, not with that level of loss and what appears to be a below average/weak donor.

Think you'd be setting yourself up for a long, expensive road to unsatisfactory results (ofc, dependant on pre-op expectations).

I agree with the old chestnut on this. Take fin, stabilize your hair loss, then reassess your condition.

  5. First few pics are pre-op 1st transplant, 41 days after 1st transplant (bad shedding / shock loss - whoa.jpg)

I show those so you know where I started from in EARLY 2016

    ------

The buzz cut one was 32 days after HT #2 (APRIL 2017)

The drivers license I threw in for fun -- that was 2015, one year before starting my HT journey!! (a.jpg)

The rest of the pics (files named 1.jpg -13.jpg) are from today, and/or last weekish...

  6. Damn, just read this read and was hoping to see this come to a good resolution. Any chance we could get an update here from the OP?

Rahal is one my three finalists for FUT (as I'm sure he is for a lot of folks) so would be really helpful to find out what the outcome was.

Read my threads (links in my signature below). That will help you keep Rahal in your top 3 :)
