  1. Propecia (finasteride) and minoxidil are the 2 approved meds for hair restoration and stimulating growth. So if u use them for long term u will see results and will be able to preserve what u have or at the least be able to delay the pace of balding. You stop them and you will soon reach the balding stage u would have, had u not started these meds.

Even after a transplant you will be advised to take these.

  2. I think Transformer is probably so happy with his result, he has just resigned himself to not waste any of his new 'with-hair' time on any hair forum sites but to enjoy the rest of his life with hair.

Judging from his last set of pics and where he started, I would say he was well on his way to a phenomenal result.

Yeah...he is probably over the top of the world with his new hairline and doesn't feel the need to come back to this forum anymore. But it would really be nice if he or his clinic post d the final outcome as this was one of the rare big FUE sessions that we usually come across and hence it would really help the community, and if it's a great result then huge positive publicity for the clinic too.

  3. With regards to the Chinese herbs question...They look promising and would definitely want to try these. However, I think it would be best to start a new thread in the appropriate category as this may not get the necessary attention here & would get buried under other comments.

On the result - Just wondering...Does it have something to do with Transection rate for FUE that the FUT surgeons keep highlighting all the time ? You had both the procedures, so if we exclude the two small patches, how would you compare the density you got between the two procedures (FUT V FUE) in the areas where you had good growth?

  4. I hope you will go to Dr. Lorenzo in Madrid, personally I would do 2,500 to the frontal third, I wouldn't put any grafts in the back, you still got a lot of hair there and it will most certainly expand in the years to come (even on meds), I'd hate for you to be wasting grafts playing catch up on your crown rather then utilizing them on your midscalp. Other than that you look like a good candidate.

    Couldn't agree less!!

Also can you comb ur hair backwards and share pics of your sides? You might be needing temple triangle creation as well but can't make that out with current pics. But looking at ones posted 2500_3000 for frontal framing and another 1500 for the rest in second procedure. The count for second procedure will depend greatly on quality of donor. As you are just 28 your hairloss would take a while before it stabilizes ...like in your 35-40 yrs period

  5. Ingesting Diatamaceous Earth daily has really helped my hair the last couple week, looks healthier and grows waaaay faster. Maybe I should add this soy bean stuff to my routine and replace the castor oil rubbed into my scalp every evening lol

Diatamaceus earth?? Hearing this for the first time. Does it really help with thickening hair and accelerating growth? What has been your experience?

  6. You are in a lot better shape than I assumed from your original post. When I think NW4 I think a lot of hair loss but you are diffuse but not super diffuse. From the back you dont look like you are losing any hair at all. Your sides look to be very high. Your forelock from this angle looks strong - some small % of guys keep their forelock no matter what even if they go NW5/6. Which looks really weird - but is a great thing if you get a HT as that saves a ton of grafts you'd have to use.

2000-2500 will do a lot of good for you, your top back of scalp is actually the worse spot right now and you can fill in any temple weakness and populate some in the mid scalp as well. Doctor will probably try to fill in behind your current hairline since you are not on fin and you will probably face some regression there in future. But with how little diffused you are in some spots you will get a really nice cosmetic result for I imagine 6-7 years and then maybe in a decade you might want to consider another. If your forelock is still around then, you may just need a small followup.

    Agree! Great advice
