  1. Wonder why Umar moved on from HTs? I haven't consulted with Mohebi yet, but am going to set up a consultation with him. I wonder how the "Celebrity FUE" results have been, and if that technique impacts the results at all?
  2. I had a consult with Umar and while I appreciate his time, I did not get a good feeling talking with him so passed. Still cost me I think $50 for the consult
  3. How is this doctor? Im in Southern California and doing my homework.
  4. 40yo Male with 3 prior FUT transplants seeking a final FUE of 1500-200 grafts. This number was quoted to me by Dr. Carmen in La Jolla, but he only does FUT, and I dont want to go through that again. Can you guys provide feedback on these Doctors, or do you recommend I travel to see Shapiro or Gabel? - Dr. Parsa Mohebi - Dr. Yazdan (Newport Beach) - Dr. Ziering -Dr. Alvi Armani
  5. I apologize I must not have been clear. I understand how/when the shedding happens. My question is after the HT, say from Day 1 - Day 21, before the shedding, I would have the hairs that have been transplanted shorter than my native hair. Do these hairs feel like a buzz cut under my native hair to the touch? or by day 10 or so, will they grow to the point where they are at least a little soft, and not so noticeable to the touch.
  6. Hi all, I am getting a HT in 2 weeks and will be keeping my existing recipient area hair approximately 1.5-2 inches during and post surgery. I understand that some of the transplanted hairs will continue to grow before they shed, but in general, how long will it feel like I have a buzz cut under my natural hair? I would like to keep this a secret if possible, but what if someone were to touch your head, say, 3 weeks post surgery, would it still feel like a buzz under longer hair?
  7. Hello, I ride a road bike about 10 hours a week, and am going for a HT surgery on 12/10. How long will I have to wait before I can wear a helmet and not worry about damaging the graphs or their survival & growth rate? And not disturb the closure (going FUT)? I usually willl ride 5+ hours at a time on a saturday or sunday. I was told 2 weeks by the doctors office. Just want to make sure. I really don't want to stay off much longer than that, as I am a competitive racer and a month off of training is a huge loss. Thanks guys.
  8. Good Evening Gentlemen, I've had two prior hair transplants done by Dr. Reed in La Jolla. Both were somewhere around 1,700 graphs and done 7 & 10 years ago. As time has passed and hairless has continued, I have booked a 3rd transplant with Dr. Alexander in AZ. The attached photos show my hair when dry, in the shade, combed, and in harsh bathroom light. I have been given a rough estimate of 2,500 grafts for the mid and frontal areas. I am thinking about opting to not touch the crown, in an effort to maximize coverage across the bride, mid, and frontal areas. 2 questions. Do you guys think 2,500 will help? What is Dr. Alexanders reputation? I have searched on here and have read good things, which is why I've booked, but I do also routinely see Wong and Rahal mentioned as the only ones to go to. I do not want to go to my previous doctor because I did not do the research online before those procedures as I have done before this one, and my previous doctor is not mentioned on sites such as this one. Also, as you may be able to make out in the photos, my transplanted hair has a unique characteristic in that it only really points forward. Which is obviously not desirable. If I try to slick back or comb in the opposite direction, the hairs stand straight up/fight that direction. I am not sure how this will factor into the new transplant. Any thoughts? Thanks already for help. You all are the only ones I really have to discuss this with.
