  1. It is still healing. If you talk about scars, there's none. But there's a patch of less hair density which will fill over time as many hairs have suffered shock loss and will grow over time. The healing is still in process, as I feel the area is still a little sensitive. The doctor assured me in my last meeting as well, that once it has healed and the old hairs comes through, I will be able to do a zero trim and still no one will be able to tell if something happened. Current pic attached. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Watch my HT Journey through my YouTube videos https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJaB5IXaXWZZU9I9ZtkNYHQ/videos
  2. Your questions are absolutely relevant to me. And if I were in your position, I would have the same questions and thoughts. I believe we share the same scepticism and I like that. I did not do my research on any forum before my surgery. Two main reasons: 1. I didn't expect any forums talking about good surgeons in India, as Indian people are not too used to be going on forums and sharing their experiences (This is why you probably haven't heard about many other Indian doctors) 2. I am more of a YouTube guy. I prefer videos explaining me and answering my questions. Even when i want to learn how to make a Cheese Cake, i search it on YouTube instead of Google. (Hope that makes sense; and that is why i even made video reviews rather than written) Why i made the videos is because whenever i used to search for reviews on HT i used to get n number of videos from other countries and hardly any from India. So I never could get my answers. That is why I wanted to make my own videos for all the questions answered that I couldn't get. (And I enjoy doing it in my free time. Check The Bloopers video on my Channel) As for Dr. Gaurang; as far as my research goes, he could be the best HT surgeon in Delhi (I am very choosy and particular for my things). I am not sure, but he might do a consultation on Skype. You could try that if you want. If you want, you could give my reference. My name is Vinay.
  3. Hi One month post my HT, I had a PRP session (Free, included) at Medlinks. Didn't know much about it and hence had a lot of questions. So I decided to make a video on it and Dr. Gaurang helped me answer all the questions. If any one is interested, the link to the video on YouTube is here: https://youtu.be/EN6IbcWhGuc The questions we covered are: What is PRP? How does it help hair growth? Is it the best non-surgical option? Who is or isn't a candidate for PRP? How soon can one see results? How often should one get PRP? Is PRP a standardised procedure and all clinics would perform it same? Does it have any side effects? What is the cost involved for a session? Does it help HT patients? Apart from surgery is there any treatment for Hair Loss which gives permanent results? If anyone wants to ask any questions here please do. Also, the procedure was painful as it involves a few (around 20 in my case) injections to your head. Had to take a pain killer before sleeping. And one day after the session my head is still heavy and hurts in some parts. Disclaimer: I do not get paid to be making these videos. Just like all other people here who want to share their HT stories, I decided to share mine over a YouTube channel. I have a few videos on it from Day Before surgery till now. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My Hair Transplant | The Journey https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXVy...cZh2ssZ5htsL1g
  4. I myself live in Delhi, so Dr. Bhatti wasn't in question for me as I found a good doctor in my city itself. If you're referring to Dr. Pankaj Chaturvedi, then he and Dr. Gaurang together started Medlinks. It's mentioned in the above link I sent. I being in my first month cannot comment with experience how his hairline method or perfection is better than any other. But that's what I heard from a few old patients. And the maim reason that made me choose him was the first meeting itself. Also they have a new Perfect-i technique, which is superior to FUE.
  5. References. I had visited Berkowits (amongst many others), which is a very well known hair loss clinic in India, asked them for references of few of their HT patients. 3 of which told me that they got their transplant done from Dr. Gaurang; one of them got two of his HT from him and said he has magic hands as far as HT is concerned. And i was told that he doesn't work for Berkowits any more and has started his own clinic Medlinks with Dr. Pankaj Chaturvedi. Met him for a consultation and decided if i was ever getting it done; it would be from him. I am happy so far. Watch my HT journey so far on YouTube if you're interested to know more. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXVy...cZh2ssZ5htsL1g You can read about the doctor here: http://www.hairtransplantdelhi.org/about-us/our-team/
  6. Hi I have my first PRP session with the doctor next week. There were two PRP sessions that I got free with the transplant. I frankly don't know what it exactly does and how much it will help hair growth if at all. Anyone with experience on PRP could you please share your results. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My Latest Video on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTPSNqlMIvQ
  7. Hey Bill thanks for your reply. I had got very good reviews of Dr. Gaurang before i decided to get it done from him. And i am very pleased with everything so far. Hoping for good results soon. Of course i will be updating my progress on a regular basis. I even started a YouTube channel for the same. Where i have put up few videos, day vise, on my progress. I will also update the progress here. Thanks. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My Hair Transplant | The Journey https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXVyqxO5EjM&list=PL22HLqK5hhK0lXTix4GcZh2ssZ5htsL1g
  8. I am in my day 20+ now and I have been having some pain and itching in the donor area. Some kind of internal acne pain in some spots. Is this Normal? Also, I have lost more than 60-70% of my planted hair already. Is this normal so soon? Pic attached.
  9. Hi I am 32 yrs old, living in Delhi, India. I have been suffering from hair loss and receding hairline since 7-8yrs. Since the past two yrs, the hairline had receded a lot and I saw no option but to go for a transplant. One important thing I would like to mention is that almost 10 yrs ago many different doctors had prescribed me different medicines to control my hair loss. My question always used to be: For how long will I have to take these medicines? And, always the answer would be: FOREVER! I would take it for a few months or weeks and stop. I was a fool not to listen to those doctors. Because the only way to retain hair without surgery is to have some or the other treatment/ medication FOREVER. Finally I had to decide for a hair transplant. The same is described in a video I posted, you can find it here: https://youtu.be/fXVyqxO5EjM I got 2800 Perfect i (Next level to FUE) grafts transplanted 3 weeks ago. The procedure took around 5hrs. Procedure is painless of course, but the journey post is so much. Again I have a video made of the day of surgery here: https://youtu.be/SRBiZhf9skg I have mentioned the care/ do's and don'ts and how to live your life right after surgery in some videos that is why I am not writing all of it here. So whoever interested in those things can go ahead and watch these videos: Day 3 : https://youtu.be/7rZ7g17NEVk Day 7 : https://youtu.be/6XP3wTji2zM Day 10 : https://youtu.be/x7qz6eLt67A I am now past day 20. Haven't made an update video yet; I have lost more than 50% of my planted hair (the shedding process) and what's to notice is that my head is numb at some places (on the top and some points in planted area) and pains the rest of the places. There are new hairs trying to grow through my skin at the donor site; which itch, and pain at the same time. Things I am doing to promote hair growth: 1. Laser Comb (Thrice a week, 15-20mins) 2. Biotin I have been wanting to try Finaxtride but with the mixed reviews, I haven't made up my mind yet. I will try to update this post as often as possible. Else at least I will try to upload more videos with updates, as videos are always more explanatory. Also, I have a PRP session at my clinic next week so I will surely do a video on that. Please feel free to ask away any questions. I would be glad to answer. Some photos of hairline before and after (10 days post) surgery attached. Edit: Forgot to mention, my hair transplant was done at Medlinks by Dr. Gaurang Krishna.
