5 month update.

A bit of advice needed, I was at the hairdressers today and he noticed a small scab patch of dandruff, he said it'll just wash out after using a good anti dandruff product like Nizoral. Being 4 months post op would I be ok using it? I have emailed asmed for their advice but its always good to ask on here too as some of you may have first hand experience of the product. Any advice would be appreciated. Many Thanks. :-)

Month 4 pic update. All seems to be going well, my head has been tingling loads the past couple of weeks so hopefully that means more hairs coming through. Got to say so far i'm very pleased with the progress and a massive difference on last months pics.

At the 3 and a half month stage now, i've started noticing hair in the shower, the hair is not as long as most of the hair on my head so I pressume its the new hair starting to grow through, could it be some of the transplanted hair which never fell out during the big shead a few months back or is it too late for that to happen so should I be worried that the transplanted hair is lost for good?

Thanks for the nice responces, yeah been getting itchy moments, not too badly though. Got my fungers crossed it'll start growing and thickening over the next couple of months so by xmas hopefully they'll be a nice improvement. Only time will tell I guess.

I'm not entirely sure why Dr Erdogan's graft quote's always come in higher, i've read on the forums that its something to do with dense packing the grafts. Maybe someone reading this could explain it to you better than I can, but even though his graft count was higher the prices was up to 4000 pounds cheaper than in England and Belgium, and his results from other peoples blogs were excellent, so really a no brainer for me to choose him as I got around 1500 more grafts for less money. Just got my fingers crossed that my results are as good as other peoples results that have been put on the forums.

3 month pic update, getting alot of itchy sensations on my head, resisted the urge to scratch them, I'm hoping its the new hair trying to break through that is causing the itchy feeling so hopefully it'll be all growing from here.

No didnt feel nervous in Turkey at all. Although I knew there had been some trouble at the touristy areas I wasnt concerned as I wasnt planning on walking round those areas, I also promised my family that I wouldnt walk around the streets either, I was picked up at the airport and taken straight to the hotel, then just taken from the hotel to the surgery for a few days back and forth before taken back to the airport to go home. So I never really saw anything apart from the inside of a hotel, car, surgery and airport so the risks were minimal. Remember though I did go before the attack at the airport so maybe I would have felt more nervous if I was travelling now although I would like to think I would travel now as you cant let these things stop you living your life. Hopefully we'll not hear of anymore trouble over there and maybe as the months pass more and more people will travel to the asmed clinic cos they really do take care of you.

I'm not sure what you mean by angsty, do you mean did I feel unsafe whilst I was over there?

2nd month update, my hair shed has all finished now, it lasted 3 weeks, since then I have had about 10 big acne spots in my transplanted area, I havent had spots like that since I was a teenager, I resisted the urge to pop them and after a few days they would go but as soon as one went another formed, I guess this is not called the ugly ducking stage for nothing, although I have started to get a few small hairs forming especially around my hairline which I presume is good progress at this stage. I decided to let my hair grow out as much a possible but at some point this month I'll be having a haircut, Is there any do's and dont for going to the hairdressers? Should I just get a dry cut and wash my hair at home? Also should he only use scissors or are clippers ok? And is it ok to put gel or wax on my head at this stage? Any advice would be apperciated. Thanks.

Are you getting confused with Dr Doganay? He used to be recommended.

1 month update pics, had some hairs starting to fall out from day 25, but thats all normal, so far pleased with how its all going.

I had a transplant 3 weeks ago with Dr Erdogan, and they were first class, obviously no idea what the outcome will be like but so far so good. I would definitely put him on your shortlist.

Yeah, i've always used the full dosage, again i'm lucky that i've not had any side effects, I had a couple of face to face consultations in the uk but it only confirmed asmed were the ones for me too. I read so many good reviews on this site it was always gonna be them. You'll be in the very best of hands.

Thanks for all the nice responces, MrOne are you all booked up with Dr Koray or are you still going through consultations with other surgeons? Thought i'd put a few more pics up taken at the surgery to show what my hair was like before the transplant.

10 day pic update.

No didnt do the prp treatment, they said it has no effect on your hair regrowth only healing time so thought it was an expense I could do without, some of the guys having their transplant the same time as me had it and some didnt, I think its just a personal choice.

Thanks, I actually just deleted the pics as I couldnt seem to get them to facevthe right way up, so will put them back on later, yeah I worked tuesday, thursday and friday last week so was back in the swing pretty quickly, 10 days in I still have a bit of soreness in the donar area at the back of my neck but nothing too bad, I just take an ibuprofen if needed. I guess i've got lucky with the redness. Fingers crossed it'll be the same for you.
