  1. yeah it did get thicker, Cos I'm quite dark haired I was actually pretty happy with it at the 7 month stage, but without a doubt it got thicker the last few months. it's always hard to judge yourself as you see it everyday but when I met mates and family members (every 3-4 weeks) they always commented how much thicker it looked from the last time they saw me. from your thread though your pics look amazing for 8 months, it should get even more thicker but on an outside chance it didn't I think it still looks brill.
  2. 12 Month and pretty much a final update (although I may do a 18 month one if there is any more growth), I cant believe how quick that year went by. So pleased with the final outcome, I only really started this thread just to help other people make a decision as to which surgeon to choose when taking the plunge into doing a hair transplant. Obviously I thoroughly recommend Doctor Koray and his team at the Asmed clinic, and I hope this has helped a few people come to a decision. I've had nothing but positive remarks for my mates and more importantly from family members especially from my dad who thought I was crazy for doing it in the first place but now can see how much better it looks. If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask. The final pics I've put up are an original from Asmed taken just before the shave and a mixture of wet and dry hair and as it looks now.
  3. Thanks for the nice reply DEB, I see from your thread yours is starting to come along nicely too. Your through the worst of it now and it will just get thicker and thicker from here.
  4. Thought I'd put a couple of pics up taken at the asmed clinic to show what my hair colour was like before the procedure as a few people thought my hair was darker than at the start, I don't think my hair has got any darker than it was at the beginning.
  5. 9 month pics update. Nothing really to report apart from my hair is just getting thicker and thicker.
  6. Brown hair? I've never had brown hair in my life. Maybe it's the light bouncing off my bald bonce. I assure you my hair has always been this colour.
  7. I'm now 8 months post op for a fue hair transplant, I have been using johnsons baby shampoo since my surgery but now want to change to a proper shampoo, I have used nizoral a few times as I've had a little build up of dandruff but I'd rather not over use nizoral so is there any recommendations for a adult shampoo which is ok to use daily that will help reduce the dandruff? Any help would be greatly appreciated. ?
  8. Thanks for the nice responses, yeah really happy wibbles, can't think of anything I'd have changed, everything has gone according to plan. ?
  9. I don't have any of my hair pulled completely back to show the hairline, I'll put the best 3 I have to show the hairline best I can. If these ones are not up to scratch just let me know and I'll try and take better ones on my 8 month update next week. ?
  10. Cheers for the kind words. Uranus90 I just use Johnsons baby shampoo and take my propecia, that's about it. Apart from that I didn't use any wax or gels on my hair, wore a hat in the sun and when I put on a t shirt or jumper I made sure I pulled the hole so my hair wasn't pulled as I put them on all for the first 6 months. Probably overkill on my part but just wanted to protect my new hairs as much as possible, and probably made no difference to the outcome but made me feel like I gave it every chance to get the best out of the new growth.
  11. 7 month update, happy new year, to be honest not really much to report on anymore, just enjoying my hair, it's been lovely going out over Xmas as it was the first time I have put any product on it, so nice to get dressed up and go out. I've added a few wet pics below to try and show the hairline as best I could as a few people have asked.
  12. Bit slow to get the pics up this month, bit of a crazy festive period but I'll get some pics up at the weekend, I've only just noticed a couple of you have asked for some hairline pics sorry about not getting them up sooner but I'll put some up at the weekend with my other pics. Hope you all had a good Christmas and new year, happy growing for 2017.
  13. Looks like this is gonna be another great asmed ht. Get used to lack of sleep for a little while. I remember the first week or so sleeping in that bloody neck pillow. Or should I say trying to sleep in that bloody neck pillow. A few hours here or there. Spent the early hours of most mornings (4am) watching countdown, 15-1 and quantum leap. It was all worth it though.
  14. Hi Deb, glad it's all going well so far, looking forward to watching and hearing your progress. ?
  15. Brill, looking forward to reading all about it. Nothing to be nervous about, your in good hands.
  16. Bet you can't wait to get out there, how many grafts have you been quoted?
  17. I think Erdogans skills played the biggest part, but I have also been very careful to look after my hair as much as possible too, maybe abit of overkill from my part but for example I've still not put any gel or wax on it, I still put a hat on if it's sunny, I wash it with baby shampoo and I try and wear button shirts rather than jumpers so nothing pulls over my head whilst new hair is growing. that maybe completely unessesary but until the year is up I'm gonna try my best to keep doing that.
  18. Thanks for the nice replies. Lionel Messi, that's brilliant, my mates will love that one.
  19. Can't believe the difference from where I was at 6 months ago. The first pic was taken at the surgery moments before it was all shaved off, the second is obviously now. If anyone is reading this that hasn't got Dr Koray on their shortlist I would encourage you to put him on your list. So pleased with how this is turning out.
  20. Yeah really pleased with how its going, even if I had no more growth now i'd still be happy with it but the fact there is still 6 months growth to go thrilled is an understatement. In regards to the ugly duckling stage, I pretty much just got on with it, I did wear a cap whilst out and about outside but that was more due to the fact I wanted to avoid sun exposure, but when at work or at a mates I was capless, I've told my mates and work collegues about my transplant so its no secret and most people seemed quite intrigued to see how it was going.
