  1. Was hoping we could get an update from our good friend Dutchie. I believe it has now been 18 months since Dutchie's procedure, so I'm interested in whether anything changed for him. Last we heard around the 1 year mark, he was seeing a burst in growth, but then got banned temporarily. Any chance the moderators can restore his posting privileges or maybe even get an update from Doug?

  2.

In this video, a graft is being delivered at 2:11 (and several right after). As you can see, while the initial grasp of the forcep is very superficial and near the epidermis, as tension is applied to the graft the second forcep grasps lower on the follicle. Even with a gentle grasp, this area is clearly outside of the region defined above. And although it is more superficial, it could still clearly be near the crucial bulge stem cell region (which is around 1.5-2mm deep).

I'm glad to see this website allowing the use of one of JT's videos again.

  3. Making a request to remove Dutchie from this forum. This guy really provides nothing productive or aligned with the overall mission of this forum.

I hardly think 7 posts gives you the right to make such a request. Dutchie has not violated any terms and conditions of this forum, and has always been respectful and curtious to other members. Nothing wrong at all with him exercising his sense of humor, and if you don't like it, then nobody is forcing you to read his posts.

  4. Yeah right. Just like with Doganay right? Comparing yourself to the Ivy League? Are you kidding me? Tell that to all those people who had been butchered by your "carefully vetted" doctor who surely met your "demanding standards". I guess you have never officially apologized to them.

Answer me this: How many of your recommended doctors have you visited PERSONALLY to check out their facilities, staff and processes?

The bottom line is, people should not trust your recommendations blindly. You make a profit on them and you are legally protected against any liabilities. There are only a handful of truly talented and professional HT doctors around the world and people should only go to the best of the best when they want to improve their appearance. But recommending only those would hardly be profitable.

Paleo, can you please post pics of your final result from the Doganay procedure? Only fair that you post these seeing that your initial posts and review led to his removal from the recommended list. The community deserves to now see how your final result actually turned out, or are you just trying to hide something? Your reluctance to post these leads everyone to assume that the final result was actually pretty good. Also not fair for you to continue to defame Dognanay without posting further evidence that he did in fact butcher you like you claim. Put your money where your mouth is please sir.

  5. Hello all,

My name is Michael and I am strongly considering doing a hair transplant in Istanbul, Turkey. I am from Los Angeles visiting family in the Middle East. I have been reading many reviews and information online. To be honest I am overwhelmed.

If you have done any research on doctors in Istanbul or done a surgery in Turkey.

Can you please name the doctors to consider?

    How much did it cost?

How many grafts did you get?

What was included in the package?

Any other info to consider please?

Maybe there is a thread that has all this info?

When I search for doctors on this website I only find 2 in turkey but people have named many more.

I really appreciate all the feedback and this website for the info.

    Thank you all

    Hello Mike

    How about sharing some pics?

Have you given any of the LA clinics a look by any chance? Dr Diep is outstanding, and I am hearing recent noise about the Armani clinic, have you given them a look? ;)

  6. Consider Lipogaine shampoo which has shown to be very good in regrowth for men. After some weeks I noticed impressive regrowth in my crown area.

Let's see some before and after pictures then. Forum members would greatly appreciate seeing evedience of your impressive regrowth as this is a real game changer then. You are doing a disservice to this forum by not sharing these pics with us and will blocks posters from any means that's helps one enjoy a good thick of hair. Also, did you purchase this Lipogaine shampoo in Hungary?

  7.

Hair transplant surgery is not an exact science however, it's 95% plus effective in the right surgeon's hands. I heard that a comment was made that hair transplant surgery is only 70% effective. This might be true in an inexperienced surgeon's hands, but Dr. Hasson and other Coalition members have a 95% success rate. It's truly unfortunate when someone falls in the bottom 5%. But reputable surgeons like Dr. Hasson, Dr. Wong and other recommended physicians have a very high success rate. God forbid something goes wrong, they stand behind their patients.

    Best wishes,

    Bill

Bill, couple of things from my end:

    1) I actually find myself agreeing with you somewhat, but the whole point of this forum is for posters to document their journey. Nothing wrong with Dutchie expressing his dissatisfaction with service being given, although he himself by admission can be too quick to the trigger at times, so makes sense for him to just reign it in for the next few months until the Dr is given a fair opportunity to evaluate what's wrong or what went wrong, if anything. Dutchie more than anything is just looking to us to support him, and it's prudent to let him to continue to document his progress here, whilst at the same time exercising a degree of restraint in his tone.

    2) Even though Dutchie has agreed to fly out to Vancouver, I disagree that this is a necessity. At the 12 months mark, which is now, I don't see anything wrong with Dutchie calling it like it is. Furthermore, HD pictures should suffice for Dr Hasson to do an evaluation. He has Ferko touring the US, and I believe a rep in Toronto. Either can go to Dutchie and take his pictures or a video. I think Dutchie is just being extra diligent by waiting a few more months, and kudos to him, but I hardly think it's fair to handcuff him with restrictions. Like I said, he should reign it in a bit for now, but I think the restrictions are unfair. It's your castle though.

    3) how did you get to 95% success rate? Do you have anything to substantiate that claim?

  8. What is the sickest part of it all is that he seems to have actually posted this about "his friends" just to disagree with you on the subject, with no intent whatsoever of helping the OP.

In close to seven years on this forum I've never seen anything like this shit and hope to god he gets his 500 grafts/cm2 procedure, the forum really doesn't need this time wasting nonsense.

Oh yeah, the "friends" part was the real kicker. At a minimum he could've claimed that he himself uses it. That may have made his claims just a little bit believable if not for this being the only time he has ever posted in a thread to actually advise the OP instead of hijacking it for his own benefit.

Who knows, maybe the Nioxin they sell in Hungary has a secret formula that actually does work.

  9. No doubt Baubac produces better results than Erdogan assuming Baubac's work is consistent. But still Baubac's prices are ridiculously high. I am interested in Baubac but seriously $21,000 is too much. A little too rich for my blood.

But when I called Baubac's office last week a spokesperson said his prices are comparable to any other clinic's. I doubt that now.

Why are you excluding the airfare from the $21,000 Baubac quote when you live in Hungary?

  10. Hello primomusic,

Nioxin is amazing! My two friends, a male and female, use it and I have noticed much more thicker hair when I see them in the morning going to work.

Pay no mind to the trolls. Their negativity just blocks you from any means that helps you enjoy a good thick of hair.

    !

This is the most ridiculous statement. Your friends just happen use it so it must be good. If it's so good, why don't you use it? Say what you want about your friends, Nioxin DOES NOT regrow hair, nor does it prevent hair loss. At best it my create a thickening effect, but there are much more effective and much cheaper hair thickening shampoo products on the market.

Please stop spreading false statements , it is disruptive to the forums and blocks posters from any means that's helps one enjoy a good thick of hair. Why did you lie about living in Hungary when in another post you all but admitted that you actually live in the US?

  11. thank you guys for your input. I have read that nioxin does nothing. I have been using it for a week now but just feels it leaves my hair thin with that conditioner.

I really am looking for a good shampoo and conditioner that the majority of people on here use. I am going to start my Rogaine, finasteride, this week. So I am taking the necessary steps but im completely puzzled on the shampoo conditioner area.

Add Nizoral to your regimen, but only use that twice a week.

I personally use Aveeda Pure Abundance Shampoo and Conditioner. It won't regrow hair or prevent hair loss, but does the trick in terms of the thickening effect. L'Oreal Vive is another shampoo posters have sworn by, but I personally pefert the Aveeda.

  12. Milo,

    Let's do simple math.

Armani's FUE prices differ from person to person. On average he quotes about $6-8 per graft. So lets assume to be on the lower side of $6.

I need about 3500 grafts. So here it goes:

    Armani/Baubac

    Price $6/graft

    3500 * 6 = $21,000

Hotel (3 nights) at around $100 per night,

    Total = $21,300

    Erdogan:

Price €2.50/graft (with current rate it is $2.70)

    3500 * 2.5 = €8750 ($9437 USD)

    Flight $1500

Hotel (3 nights) is included in price of HT

    Total = $10,937

As you can see, it's about double.

P.S. Feller still mostly does FUT. But you don't know if you even get Feller to operate on you. Dr. Blake Bloxham now works with Feller and does most of HTs.

How did you get a flight of $1500 from Hungary to Turkey? There must be cheaper flights from Hungary surely. That's where Milo says he lives you know. You will also need to estimate the cost of flights from Hungary to LA and add to the Armani total.

I see flights costing less than $200 return for Budapest to Istanbul.

  13. Hello HairDew,

Glad you replied! Thank you. Regarding Erdogan charging less than Baubac, don't you think it is cheaper to travel to see Baubac in Califronia than all the way to Turkey? Especially if you already live in USA?

Whoops - your profile says you live in Hungary, so why would you then ask the question above that explicitly implies that you live in the USA? Turkey is definitely not all that far from Hungary when compared to California, which is. Gotcha!!! Seeing you have taken particular interest in a New York thread, am I right in saying you live in New York? Why did you lie about living in Hungary?

  14. Hello HairDew,

Thank you for such an informative view. This is making me second think seeing armani, even confused about seeing him or not. What does not make sense is why armani did not stick with his original formula (FUT) that made them a superstar in the industry. Had they not switched to FUE they would've been branded the emperor of hair transplants. It is very disappointing.

Perhaps when I call them and inquire just for info sake, I may request FUT. But I would not count on it since I read they only work with FUE. But there is that chance.

Looked at many results of Baubac's transplants from last year...........

Hair Transplant / Hair Restoration Surgery Results - Hair Loss Forums

When you consider all these amazing results you can see why I am tempted to going to Baubac. But I am cautious also. Feller looks good to me I admit.

Oh for goodness sake. Just when it looked like he was going to pull the trigger and go with a particular surgeon, someone talks him out of it. Back to square one again. Hey Milo, where are those pics you promised to share?

  15. Hello gillenator,

The clinic said thats the amount of grafts they transplant for celebrities. But just to let you know, they said they usually plug 70 - 90 grafts/cm2 on average.

D.r Baubac did say on a video that 55 grafts/cm2 would create a see through look. To be very honest I am interested but concerned.

Is it fair to say that you regard this clinic as dishonest? Would you dissuade me from going there?

How about you share some pics with us and then we can help you decide how much density is enough. I think seeing that you found a clinic that is willing to do 70 - 90 grafts/cm2 into your existing hair, it looks like a match made in heaven, I know how much you love high density, so I say Armani is your man. Pull the trigger and go for it. Doesn't look like you will find another clinic that can go so high. Maybe if you throw in some extra cash on the day, they will treat you like a celebrity and go in excess of 100 grafts /cm2.

  16. Let's see some pics

I believe he said his camera is too old and outdated. I am sure he is searching the internet as we speak looking for a 2nd hand more modern camera that is similar to his existing camera, but at the same time slightly difference in appearance so that he can't get them mixed up and mistake one for the other. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and am looking forward to see those pics taken on his new 2nd hand HD camera so we can all give him some feedback.

I wonder what happened to the OP btw. Very strange that he created a new account just to ask one single question and then disappeared.

  17. Hi Stig,

I missed all the fun before I guess, but what did Taurisrisen/Milo etc do?

I had been inactive on the forum during that time in the past. If it's something we should know about I will stop responding to his posts.

follow his posts below. He got banned and then kept creating alias's to get back on. Some of his posts got deleted by the Moderators as they were homophobic and nasty. Bottom line is he has been wondering around this forum for years and years chasing the perfect surgeon who will give him full density, yet won't actually pull the trigger. He used to be obsessed with Rahal, but recently turned on him. Probably because Rahal turned him away. Read the posts below and compare him and his alias's to Milo. I think it's the same guy.

You will notice the following themes:

    1) any procedure or surgeon that does not provide perfect density is a failure

    2) anyone who disagrees with him is a troll. Milo has been more restrained, but has referenced to trolls and trolling

    3) see his obsession with hair products and other natural remedies to prevent hair loss

    4) he creates multiple threads asking a multitude of questions, but seems to be all over the place and nowhere close to actually committing to one surgeon and pulling the trigger

  18. Please - SMS7000 and Milo is the same person. Taurisrisen lives in New York. Milo created this alias so that he could ask his question without drawing suspicion to himself. Milo is SMS7000 who is Taurisrisen. Milo also will not post any pictures of his hair - otherwise we will know it's hm. Finally, Taurisrisen was also obsessed with density - just like Milo is.

Bill / David, I betcha that if you run SMS7000's IP address with either Milo or the old Tauris profiles, you will get a match.
