Hi hairshopeing, that's exactly the type of post I'm looking for as great to hear personal experience. Did you complete a thread of your journey and pics? Before your HT did you try/use any products, and at same time after HT do you now need to? Are you UK based, and note you mention Dr Reddy but did you not consider Farjo at any point? What costs was the Belgium one and did they assist with recommending close hotels etc.....? Cheers mate.

Thanks Voxman for welcome and input buddy. To be fair I have considered wider geographical locations but for a variety of reasons many will not be possible (I'll not cover of the reasons as far too boring for site). Even if it was possible I'd like to be treated by premises that I can get back to if I am concerned about something, and not have to wait a few months to get more lengthy time away from training and other considerations which would prevent me getting to see them. Anyway, back to what I can do within my remit..........totally agree wider options if I take in far reaching countries and for those that can do this then they have greater choice but I need to deal with what I am truly able to commit to and that is ideally in UK (potentially Madrid at push if proves much better option).

I'd been thinking about HT for some time but never really got round to actually doing anything about it, then I'd have other pressing things in my life that would take priority and it would always just be "I need to get round to ACTUALLY doing something about it". Fast forward to now and I'm really keen to get something in place and get fully booked up for start of next year - next year seems far away but really only 4-5 months and I want to get a slot booked in as soon as I've picked my surgeon if possible. I'm hoping to keep this thread running to share my overall experience and I would love constructive input and help from you guys as I'm sure a vast knowledge has been built up by many of you due to having this surgery or just by sheer research on various sites which will ultimately help me. Firstly, I plan to go for FUE so best getting that out there early and I stay just outside Glasgow and ideally would like my treatment in UK - I'm 40 and would like the front of my head done (don't want total transformation and an Afro just a subtle increase in current amount without everyone immediately knowing I've had HT). So rather than jump straight in to any clinic I've to date visited 2 as I wanted to see the place for myself and also get a feel for the professionalism as I want to be fully comfortable overall with the full experience. 1st consultation - The Glasgiw Clinic (West George St) Good initial contact and able to fit me in within 2 weeks to "review my hair" and discuss treatments. Arrived on the Saturday morning and the place was empty apart from manager (poss owner). Started to tell me and my wife his own story on his hair loss and quickly wanted to just show pics on computer of folk that got thier hair done. At no point wanted to check my head/hair and I was particularly concerned that he wanted me to almost book thier and then.......especially when I asked what doctor would be completing op and he advised it depended on what surgeon he "was able to bring up to his practice and what date I went for". Portrayed the image that the place just gets an old surgeon into thier premises to complete work and that surgeon could change frequently. This might not be the exact case but when we asked some detailed questions he wasn't able to provide any real confidence on who would be the person but only in getting a quick booking. Verdict - don't plan to use as didn't enjoy experience at all. 2nd consultation (last week) KSL (St Vincent St) Completed thier online contact and took 2-3 days to return call to me. To be fair caller went out thier way to fit me in soon as I advised him I would struggle to catch up if not pretty soon due to work commitments and travel. Got consultation with 4 days. Excellent welcome and made to feel at ease from outset. Seemed keen to push previous footballers stories on work by them but suppose if they did carry out the work then entitled to share thier workings. Good chat about what I wanted and did take time to examine head/hair. Cost was a bit steep but maybe a place to consider. Verdict - perhaps as its local but will London etc be better work completed? Next - I've been keen get get a view from Farjo and might get something arranged with them, not sure if I should hit Manchester or London and if any difference on what one I try. This is my story so far and I hope to keep it updated, as by helping one person who may come along in same position as me it will have served its purpose Really happy to get a steer/or some help folks as I know lots will have been in my shoes and want to do this right.
