  1. Yeah just trying to get my head around (pardon the pun) paying such fee here or going abroad for it if honest - I'd say I'm very similar to where Neil was in terms of hair loss pattern.
  2. Looks great mate, so we are talking circa £12k in UK for 4,000 grafts?
  3. I was about to ask that also as I normally keep my hair pretty short and I'm wondering how it would look/how noticeable with same HT
  4. Hi mate, sorry didnt see your reply. Are the costs considerably higher staying in UK for your procedure compared to your initial plan of Portugal?
  5. Kingthin - I'm in the exact same boat as you with regards based in Uk, young family and not wanting to be away for too long (all I have the mrs blessing....but like you it doesnt feel right). So your going to Portugal for yours? With regards how many grafts you need - from the consultation do they advise this or will they only fully confirm once they have physically see you?? Regard mate.
  6. Cool dude, as my plan would be to get HT then take 2.5 weeks off from work on hols. Spend the 1st week at home getting over op & hiding the redness then perhaps go abroad on hols for a week (wonder if you should stay out sunlight full stop or fine as long as suncream on). I'd then return to work say 2.5 weeks later and hope the area of implant isn't red or noticeable........don't know if that would work or not and that's what's holding me back
  7. Hair is looking good dude. The part I'm very interested in is the first few weeks. Looking at your HT at week 2 it seemed to have really calmed down in terms of redness and any flaky areas - at week 2 would you say that no one you knew would have known you had the HT or was it still identifiable if friends/colleagues were in your close proximity?
  8. Pax you previously said they continually fobbed you off, lied and promised it would be fixed at 6 months stage. Appreciate you are going to get it reviewed now but surely this final change of stance after all your previous statements, delays and lack of contact doesn't mean you are now recommending them after such direct criticism in many posts?
  9. Just to clarify for the OP as a couple of pieces of inaccurate information being given out in previous posts. Stokes - KSL Faddy - theglasgowclinic Two totally separate places although within a 3 minute walk of each other. Stokes - does look good in pics and he takes mega care with his (unlike Leigh lol) but up close as someone previously suggested it does need some tweaks still. This was after MUCH work went in to it as he had a very good contract with KSL. Faddy - he's very pleased with his and when I was with him before he went abroad for trial it was looking good and had filled in well as he needed a lot done. As per Stokes a very good contract with venue was agreed. Please remember that the work gone into both these 3 players was very excessive as they were then the face (or hair) of the company. An element if caution on both venues but I won't go into it in this thread however as an important point when discussing treatment personally with the glasgowclinic I was very tentative to proceed personally as they "bring in whatever surgeon is available at that time" and no set surgeon was in place within venue I was informed. This was 18 months ago so perhaps a change I'd hope. Happy to answer any PMs for anyone looking at Glasgow area or located here.
  10. For your HT in January have you been to see them previously to discuss your required work or did you do this through Skype? I'm still pondering my next move to get it done.
  11. You can't really see it at wrong angles and to be fair if I met you I couldn't tell you had HT which is good. However, 2 points - from what I can see in pics you weren't really needing it that badly and more importantly I can't believe you had to shell out 4k for 100 grafts that is insane pricing. My total price was 7k which has now dramatically reduced after phone call made to me recently and that's for an absolute ton more work buddy. After op - obviously head area is red......how long after op would you say you could go out and no one would notice recipetent area (redness)?
  12. Thanks for your very detailed reply - appreciated.
  13. Nice write up thered. I'd say my hair was similar to yours pre-op and currently reviewing where to go to for HT. I know Dr Nel did yours but where was it done as note he says he does various countries at mo? Also, if you don't mind me asking what is the cost on 1400? In your personal experience do you feel the big 3 are absolute necessities before HT? Thanks for any info buddy.
  14. I'm sure some places would just tell the person to come back in a few years time rather than do 100 only. You must have full head of hair and just need a mega small tweak in that case. Do you think yours actually looks worse and better before in that case mate?
