  1. Accidently I used my girlfriend's therapeutic anti-dandruff shampoo on the recipient area, I am 10 days post-op FUE hair transplant. The main ingredient of the shampoo is 0.5% Benzalkonium Chloride w/w (don't know if this a harmful ingredient). When I found out (after 1-2 minutes) I immediately rinsed it off. Could this have harmed my grafts and outcome of my hairtransplant? Very worried now...
  2. A week ago I got a hair transplant and found out I have CVG. For now, it is not a huge problem since I never noticed it. So if I grow my hair out again I won't notice it. What worries me:I read CVG is progressive. Is secondary CVG progressive too? Has anyone experienced it got worse over time?
  3. Thanks for your answer. I edited my post, explaining why I don't want to use minoxidil (collagen depletion).
  4. I am 14 days post-op FUE transplant. The clinic gave me a finasteride+minoxidil lotion. I already use finasteride tablets, and I don't like using minoxidil, but I do like the idea of using a topical growth stimulation. Of course I don't want to do any harm to my grafts, could any of the ingredients of this topical (see below) harm the outcome of my hair transplant (when start using now)? I don't want to use minoxidil because I am scared for collagen depletion, I read (YouTube comment) that Hasson&Wong advised against minoxidil because of this.
  5. Today I made a close-up photo of the thinned area. Could you see something which really point to shock loss? (you can zoom in!) Thanks! https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BybI23u60yUad3ZQWjgwZXFRREE/view?usp=sharing and: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BybI23u60yUaX1YtdEFjbVR4cnc&authuser=0
  6. I am using fullmore to cover the thinned (shocked) donor area. Is it safe to use it, or will it harm my shocked follicles?
  7. Dear DrJosephitis, Many thanks for your reply, really appreciate! And good to hear it is nothing to worry about. Hope you are right . Recipient area is healing very well, just slightly pink and almost all the hairs have been falling out.
  8. I am very concerned about my donor area. Recently (29 april, 1 month ago) I got a 860 grafts FUE hair transplant. Unfortunately my donor is not what I expected, it looks very thin in my opinion (with just 860 grafts taken out!) I think there a three options: 1. They over harvested the donor area (to much grafts on too small area) 2. Shockloss 3. It is normal and will get better soon You can find the pictures here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0BybI23u60yUafnpfYzhiWUl6TjAwOHBxdi1oOWdDSUQ5eXJfM2VpdkxiM3EzWU1uZmVvVm8&usp=sharing What do you think?
  9. Thanks guys! No hair there (except for 4 hairs haha). Density is around 45 cm/2 (56 cm/2 I just count in exactly 1cm/2, zone close to the original hairline). Maybe a future FUE to add more density.
  10. Thanks David for your reply. No I didn't rub anything. I dab some shampoo foam (eucerin cappilogain), let is sit for a couple of minutes and rinsed it with cold water. I filled a sponge with cold water and rinsed it. No blood. So my concern is about the cold water instead of (luke)warm water.
  11. Hi, I am just 3 days post-op and accidently washed my hair (first time wash) with cold water. Now I am starting to think this could probably harmed my grafts... Am I screwed?
