  1. And I went in actually and spoke with Dr. Alexander face-to-face in late November or early December of 2018 and was told it was a shedding period. I will be amazed if this 6 plus month "shedding period" returns to how it was. I'm sorry I just am extremely upset I was told this hair was resistant to DHT. I have no idea why this happened, but it was my worst fear.
  2. I actually noticed a significant thinning around August of 2018.....but I would say 2018 is when this started happening. But forsure from August 2018 until now March 20 2019 has become extremely noticeable. Here is with completely dry hair. I just got it cute the exact same length I always do. So it will is the same as in 5 month comparisons. Also, lighting is the same as before too. I'm not trying to pull a fast one. My hair is thinned so bad its embarrassing. I will guarentee you and tell you first hand. It has thinned and thinned alot.
  3. Its honestly only in the transplant part. Would it still be seasonal shedding that's continuing for over 6 1/2 months?
  4. Unfortunately, I dont have just scalp focused pictures after a year. Truthfully at that point everything was amazing and looked just the same as 6 months that I showed. I was happy with that and it never got any better or worse, until recently. I can post pictures from Facebook around that time if it helps, so you can see the hairline. This started happening around September of 2018 when I actually noticed and got sick to my stomach and the pictures I posed are from yesterday. Unfortunatly it is just getting worse. This was my worst fear.

  6. All he said was I may be in a shedding stage. Then discussed doing another transplant. I will take pictures of the back as soon as I get home. Thanks for your help.
  7. And no, I'm not experiencing any scalp issues, no inflammation, or flaking.
  8. Zoloft for depression. Not more stress than usually especially now. If its stress related will in come back. What can I do. I would obviously get another transplant I just can't afford another 9k at this point. Also I'm terrified this would happen again and I'd be in the same boat.
  9. I included pictures 6 months after transplant and now. I'm not trying in anyway to swade anyone's opinion. He is a great surgeon and I dont regret using him. I just dont know why this is happening when its supposed to be resistant. Dan
  10. This is Dan following up 4 years later. Unfortunately the hair that was transplanted has thinned and started to fall out. I have used propecia, rogaine, nioxin shampoo & conditioner religiously, directly after transplant. I am disappointed in the fact I was told transplant hairs never will be affected, as they are "resistant" to DHT. I was a little taken back when I went back to Dr. Alexander and I was basically told, "i must be in a shedding faze". I spent alot of money on the procedure only to have the trasplanted hair thin to the point it's very noticable. I was told by Dr. Alexander before my transplant April 1st 2015 that I may need another transplant later in life, but behind where this transplant would be because the transplanted hair will not thin or go away. Which I was ok with because I know hair loss is progressive, but it shouldn't happen exactly where I had the transplant. I dont know what to do Dr. Alexander offered to do another surgery for again what I paid the first time almost 9k. I guess no guarentee In life and no help unless I drop another 9k. Dr Alexander was great and did a good job at the time. I have no idea why the "permanent DHT resistant hair" is falling out. And I did FUT and have a large linear scar where now shaving my head is not a viable option. Please help with advice on what I should do. I desperately looking for a solution and help. It just baffles me that I would be now having to have to pay again 4 years later to have the same exact thing done. Dan

  12. I wanted to write a review on Dr. Alexander and Staff from Biltmore Hair Restoration. I work in the medical field and am in surgery on a consistent basis so the surgical environment was a big deal to me. So I want to add that the surgical environment is next to perfect. From the free consultation by Dr. Alexander, to the follow up with him after surgery after ONLY 5 months he has been great. His staff is caring and are willing to answer questions at any time. Pictures are worth more than words in my opinion, so I am going to post pictures before and after my operation. I just want to add that Dr. Alexander made this an amazing experience and I would recommend him to anyone looking to get a hair transplant. Dr. Alexander and Staff are professional, caring, and knowledgeable when it comes to hair loss, surgical hair restoration, nonsurgical hair restoration, and working with their clients. Thank you Dr. Alexander and Staff for helping me get my hair and confidence back. I can't express to you how much this has changed my life! Best Regards, Dan
  13. I have been wanting to get a Hair Transplant since I was about 18 years old. I am now 28. I have been researching getting a transplant for awhile now. I work in the medical device industry so I am familiar with surgeons and surgical techniques. I met Dr. Alexander about 3 weeks ago and set up my surgery for Wednesday April 1st 2015. When I met with Dr. Alexander he was very professional and knowledgeable. Unlike other Hair Clinics that do hair transplants in Arizona, Dr. Alexander takes the time and conducts a consultation with you one on one. I was very impressed with Dr. Alexander. He is very intelligent on the techniques, industry, other surgeons. Even though this is considered a cosmetic procedure Dr. Alexander cares about his patients. If you look on the internet to do your research "which you should" you will find nothing but good things about this surgeon. Dr. Alexander used to be a general surgeon; which was important to me because this shows he is knowledgeable in a surgical environment outside of just a cosmetic procedure. Dr. Alexander and his staff treated me with tremendous respect from the time I was doing a consult from when I was leaving after the procedure was finished. His office is very nice as well as immaculate. More importantly the room where the operation is conducted is sterile. On the day of the surgery I arrived at 7:30 where I was greeted by his staff. Dr. Alexander then welcomed me and sat me down in the chair and the procedure begun. Dr. Alexander handed me a list of movies to chose from to watch as he completed the surgery. I can honestly say I didn't really even get to watch the movie as I fell asleep. I was awoken to have lunch they provided for me from Pai Wei; which was delicious. By lunch time the Linear strip had been removed and Dr. Alexander and his staff were removing the follicles preparing them for placement for my new hairline. Once again I chose a movie to watch and they started the procedure. I fell asleep again and when I woke up the surgery was complete! I can honestly say that I felt no pain or discomfort during the operation. The night after the surgery was completed I was warned I may experience some discomfort. As the night when on I was expecting the pain to start kicking in. To my surprise the pain was probably a 2 on a scale of 1 to 10. I woke up the next morning with no pain. It has been 3 days since my operation and I am still pain free. Deciding on a surgeon is a very important decision. It is almost as important as deciding to get a hair transplant in the first place in my opinion. Dr. Alexander and his staff made this a very pleasant experience. As I stated before I work in the medical device industry so I am in the operating room almost every day. I know the things to look for when it comes to a good surgeon and sterile environment. Dr. Alexander passed "my test" with flying colors. Dr. Alexander is not only a great man, but he is a amazing surgeon. He cares about his patients and the outcome of their procedure. He took the time and listened to me about where I envisioned my hairline to be. I almost felt as if this surgery and this process of choosing Dr. Alexander was too easy. If you are looking to get a FUT or FUE hair transplant there is no reason to wait any longer. Dr. Alexander is the best of the best. If you don't want to take my word for it, just type in his name on "Youtube" or "Google". I at least encourage you to schedule a consultation with Dr. Alexander. After talking to him for a minute you will understand what I am talking about. Thank you Dr. Scott Alexander and Staff for making this a very pleasant, truly pain free, and exciting experience for me that I will remember for the rest of my life. Best Regards, Dan
