  1. An amazing transformation.

I've experienced sheds as well. I imagine it could be the minoxidil that's causing it, but the hair will generally come back stronger. The initial shed on minoxidil can be shocking

Give it another six months. There's probably more thickening to come.

Can't say better than a free top up. Fair play to Fargo for that offer.

  2. I would suggest trying fin. If you can tolerate it, then it will help you long term and in the event of a transplant. If you can't tolerate it, or don't want to try it, i would go for 2000-2500 grafts and a reasonably conservative hairline. There is no certainty at how your hair loss will progress, so it's a chance you'll have to take.

Just my 2 cents worth, but nothing looks sadder, than a man who is balding and trying to grow their hair long, or having it in a ponytail.......:o:o

A short, stylish cut, with enhance the hair you have and make you look younger. You look like you have the face shape to carry a shorter cut.

  3. Finasteride side effects are very real and are down to an individuals own physiological reaction to the medication. Personally, I had to stop taking it after 3 weeks, due to sides. There seems to be a significant amount of others who have experienced sides as well.

Of course, it's entirely an individuals choice to take it, but to dismiss the reality of side effects, with so many reported cases, would be foolhardy.

  4. Dr Reddy has quite a lot of recommendations on here, from members who have had their procedure with him. The UK is quite expensive for getting a hair transplant, but Dr Reddy is highly regarded and i don't think you could go wrong with him.

For your information, I remember reading on here, that Dr Reddy also works out of another clinic, outside London, with the cost being reduced.

    Have you considered going abroad?

  5. I'll chip in here, as a near 50 something.... losing you hair at any age really sucks, but in you late teens/20s, it's a double blow, when you're trying to establish your place in the world and still probably with a lot of insecurities.

It's your perception of self and the massive change in your appearance in the mirror, that is a real kick in the balls.

Some can accept it, some can't...thankfully, we live in the age where we have options to deal with it.

  6. Quick update. Pictures taken in room lighting. Hair is more see through in brighter light...

15 months since procedure. Overall, I'm happy with the cosmetic improvement, but would still like more density. .I. e... I'm Greedy.:D

Right side still a bit weak, but it's a big improvement on where I started.

I don't think Saifi packs dense anyway, from seeing his cases.

A bit of Toppik and I'm like Brad Pitt.:D
