  1. Bill, keep you HT on!!!! The more i read what you have said the more it annoys me. I find the fact that you replied to this thread in such a way as being incredibly unprofessional and immature. Does not say much for you as an individual or the fact you are the Forum Moderator. You are actually coming across like a bit of a bully. If the two of us were chatting in a real room i'm sure your reply would have been much more understanding, trust me!

A word of warning to all of you, dont do something that pisses Bill off or he'll turn the whole community against you.

Think i'll leave this dictatorship ... PEACE!!

  2. Thought i'd post a positive thread for a change since i've spent the last 3 months freaking out about every aspect of my HT. Firstly, a big thanks to all that posted replies to my threads on the shockloss i had. The information you gave was accurate and very supportive which helped me through.

I had 2900 grafts approx via strip with Dr Feller in March 09 and was really nervous about the whole thing as my first HT by Dr Armani wasn't what i'd hoped it be to say the least. Just posted a reply on the thread 'Dr Alvi Armani??why is he not recommended on this site?' which would fill you in on the details.

I'm already experiencing early growth which i'm sure you can all imagine is a great feeling. The scar has healed up nicely and all the shockloss i had is just about gone. I know i've got a long way to go, which is great in terms of the results i may acheive, but i wanted to let anyone who is suffering socially and mentally from losing their hair that there are Dr's and clinics that can genuinely help.

Anyways, still at work so have to go.

    Cheers.

  4. I'm a victim.

Dont believe what you see on his web-site is what you'll get, trust me!!! I had a procedure in Oct 07 and i'm positive i didn't get as many grafts as agreed, plus the result was nothing short of terrible. I was meant to have my procedure on a day that turned out to be a Candadian Bank Holiday and i turned up at the clinic and it was closed. I had travelled all the way from the UK!!! I was 'fitted' in the next day and the whole experience was horrible. There is no personal touch to what he does and i honestly believe its money first.

I contacted the surgery to let them know i wasn't happy with the results and i got NOWHERE. I had my procedure on the same day as another guy from the UK who i have kept in-touch with. He too did not acheive a good result. Coincidence, i think not!!

I had a second HT in March 09 with Dr Feller and the difference was night and day. Dr Feller is genuinely interested in you as a patient and what your going through regarding losing your hair. I fully believe he is results driven and of course he'll tell you himself the money is good but its not what he's all about. I'm 3 months and nine days post-op and you can't see the scar with my hair at grade 4 and i'm experiencing early growth.

By the way, when i went to Dr Armani for my first HT i was told he was no longer offering the FUT and it was all FUE, which granted is his choice but for the customer makes the whole thing much more expensive .... All about the money.

Everything i have written is FACT.

  5. Thats me just a week short of being three months post-op. The shockloss i had in the recipient area and donor area has been recovering very steadily which i'm relieved about but i haven't seen anything in the way of new re-growth. I was reading that by the third month in most patients the hair will sprout and begin to grow so i'm getting a little concerned.

I've been using minox 5% for the last two months and it helped with recovering the shockloss and i'm also taking finasteride. I was really down for the first eight weeks post-op but i feel a lot better now and it would be great to see some new hairs coming through.

  7. I've just ran out of my last bottle of Regaine 5% Minox and was wondering if anyone knows where i can get a good deal on purchasing some more??

Must say it has definately helped with the recovery of the shockloss i've had and also rescued some minituarized hairs. Currently 2 months 11 days post-op and hopefully looking forward to seeing some re-growth in the next couple of months.

2500 grafts FUE Armani Oct 07 - Bad result

2900 grafts FUT Feller Mar 09

    2.5mg Proscar every other day

Vit B 100 Complex 1 tablet per day

    MSM 3000mg per day

    Regaine twice a day.

  8. I feel for you man. I'm 2 months 9 days post -op and still recovering from the shockloss i had in the recipient and donor area.

The hair in the recipient area that i had from both my first HT and natural hair are starting to recover well but i've still got a long way to go in the donor area. The guys on this forum and Dr Feller have both pretty much said the same thing, it can take 3-4 months for shockloss to come back.

I had a few members tell me their shockloss took 6 - 8 months to recover so its a waiting game at the moment mate. Good luck.

  9. I had a second HT 10 March 2009 and i still look pretty messy. The post op redness in the recipient area was fine at about 4 weeks and most of the transplanted hairs had shed but i suffered quite a bit of shock loss in the donor area and the scar is still pretty red. I was able to cover up my mpb with the hair cut i had but thats not possible now as there was quite a lot of shock loss to my existing hair.

Fortunately i can wear a hat but i'd honestly say 2 weeks would be too early if you want to get back into things without people noticing.

  10. I've been massaging minox in morning and night from about the end of the third week ... I've probably got a bad habit of continually rubbing the minox in on and off for about half an hour after i apply it as it doesnt seem to absorb easily.

I was advised by my HT Surgeon that i could return back to normal life 2 weeks post -op. I didn't think there would be any problems touching or massaging the recipetent area after that period. Pretty much all the grafts had shed by the end of the third week anyway.

Hopefully i wont have done any damage.

  11. Went shopping with the girlfriend for some new threads and when i took my hat off in the fitting room and saw the back and sides in the mirror i totally crashed and burned ... Have been trying to avoid mirrors to be honest and i thought there would have been some improvement but the reflection told a different story. I've still got staple marks, some bald patches, plus areas where the hair is much thinner .... The Bride of Frankenstein springs to mind!!!

Anyways, thanks for the replies guys .... Takes the edge off.

  12. Since having my second HT i've been really itchy all round the back and sides of my head. My girlfriend says there seems to be lots of small red spots like a rash of some sort. Does anyone have any advice on what to do about this?? The topical solution my GP gave me only seems to supress it for a while then it comes back.
