  1. thanks. where can i go to get some professional help? hairclub only does glue type pieces right?
  2. Right now via some creative hair combing and my naturally coarse hair, I conceal my diffuse thinning in the front half of my scalp pretty well. After surgery, portions of my head will be shaved and as it starts to grow back all of a sudden it will be shocking to people that know me. I realize hair pieces with glue aren't a good idea. I was thinking of a toupee that is maybe attached with clips or maybe some temporary tape? I just need to cover the front part. I am fine with the fake hair covering the hairline...a bowl cut if necessary I won't need it all the time, maybe just for family get togethers around the holiday. I have no idea what to get and googling hasn't provided me with a lot of information.
  3. Does Dr. Hasson put grafts more densely in the front and gradually reduce density going backwards?
  4. well the research has some people saying low yield. others say it has great yield. actually the H&W sales rep told me it has horrible yield. this of course was about a month before H&W announced they would do FUE with Artas
  5. FUE harvesting is very difficult from what I hear. Usually done only by the doctors. I thought the yield from FUE is pretty low. Has it improved?
  6. I went to the H&W site, to my surprise they have a big banner talking about Artas FUE. Anyone have more info about this?
  7. Hi. Thanks for the kind words. I am diffuse near the hairline and in the vertex as well. Looks like I have no other option.
  8. I have diffuse thinning much of the hair is 2.5" to 3" long, and many are finer and maybe 2cm long. If I get an HT, will the surgeon implant between existing hairs? If so, then hair density would be higher than natural and it would seem might lead to some complications such as poor growth Alternatively, would the surgeon choose to sacrifice the finer hairs for the transplanted hairs. I asked a sales rep from a leading HT clinic and his answer was yes they would implant between existing hairs and it should be no problem...but I am suspect of this answer.
