  1. Recently sent off pictures to a selection of surgeons. Most responded by telling me that I required around 3000-3300 grafts FUE so I thought that I had a good idea of what I needed. One surgeon (in Turkey but shall remain nameless) came back informing me that I required 5000-6000 grafts. I was shocked by this, it's left me wondering whether this surgeon is simply trying to get extra money or whether the other surgeons have underestimated what I need. Is it common practice for some surgeons to do this?
  2. Looking good tk. I'm going to go for Dr Civas. I've been impressed with everything I've seen from him.
  3. Thanks for the feedback guys. After careful consideration over the past few days I have decided to go with FUE. I definitely feel that it's the right option for me.
  4. Sorry to hear about what happened johnboy. But this is the kind of feedback that I'm looking for whether positive or negative, just honest opinions from people who've been there. After reading about your experiences and taking into account my own misgivings about Longevita I'll more than likely proceed with the far safer Turkish option Dr Civas.
  5. As soon as possible. It's something that I've been planning on doing for years. My only concern with Longevita is that although I can't find too much bad about them I can't find too much about them at all and obviously it's important to do plenty of research before I pick my surgeon. Even though he is more expensive I am currently leaning towards Dr Civas also in Turkey as he seems to have far more in terms of positive (or for that matter any) testimonials. I'm also slightly sceptical regarding Longevita's prices. Their 5* hotel and unlimited FUE option for under ?2,300 almost seems to good to be true. For that price I wonder why more people aren't talking about them, especially if they're very capable surgeons. . . I don't know, they might be great. But I just strikes me as odd.
  6. I was wondering if anyone has any experiences (good or bad) with Dr. Ali Emre Karadeniz or Dr. Resat Altug Aktas at Longevita (Turkey)? I am considering this clinic for my first HT (FUE) and am obviously curious to hear a few accounts from anyone who has undergone a HT with either doctor. Thanks
  7. Hi, I am currently considering a HT with Dr Saifi from Poland. I am wondering what other's experiences here might have been as regards surgery with him. How does his work compare as regards FUT/FUE? How good is his work in terms of limiting FUT scarring? Thanks in advance for any replies.
  8. I am currently strongly considering my first HT. and am more interested in FUT (partially due to the lower cost but also the supposedly higher yield). My prospective surgeon Dr Saifi from Poland has achieved excellent results with FUT scars in the past but has warned that the scar may be visible with a shaved head particularly with less dense hair at the back of the head. I am keen to keep the option of shaving my head in the future without big, obvious scars on my head. I am curious as regards how many in general have shaved their heads after strip surgery and whether they had a problem with it. Of course different surgeons achieve different results, but as a general consensus, is this something that proves a problem for many?
