  1. Hi Johnny,

I would say I only shed the recently transplanted hairs.....I don't think really have any native hair on top (it is all transplanted hair from the early 90's) I don't think I had any shock loss.....I just look exceptionally worse right now because before they shaved me for this transplant my previously transplanted hair was long enough to give some coverage and now it is very short.

  2. Hey AJ,

Good to see your post, was thinking of you the other day and how your results turned out (I looked your name up on the members search list and it came up "no results" so I thought you maybe got off the forum).

Pics look Great! Both the crown and the front filled in awesome, I think you would be good not getting anymore done if you chose not to, but another pass and you will look like you've never lost a hair. I am six weeks post from my second surgery with Dr. Lorenzo (July 20, 21st), 2802 grafts this time (in the front and on top).....I am really in the ugly duckling stage right now but hoping for as good a result as I got in my crown.

How have people reacted to your new hair? You have to be thrilled.

  3. Hey Redcut.....everything did pretty much even out over time....my right side (crown) is a little weaker than the left but when I looked back at my pics right after my original transplant I could see that it looked like it was transplanted a little less dense on the right side.....I have a large area to cover so Dr. Lorenzo might have been a little conservative to save grafts for the top....

  4. I would be interested in seeing them Redcut.....I started seeing some hair sprouting by month 3 like fine baby hair but it was significant by month 5.....and different areas definitely came in at different rates .....make sure to take pics for yourself around the same day every month to compare....when I got to month 5 I had pretty good growth and started thinking this is all I'm probably gonna get but when I compared it to my 6 month pics there was a huge difference.....I had pretty steady increases through about 9 months.....I think after that the hair seemed to still be maturing as far as losing some of it's curl, etc....then at 11 moths I went back for my second transplant and had my head shaved again.

  5. Nice write up Redcut.....I have been to Dr. Lorenzo twice......once a year ago last August 2015 (25 & 26) when he put 2751 grafts in my crown.....My results were great (In my opinion) and two weeks ago in July 2016 (20 & 21) when he put 2802 grafts in my front and top.....hoping for as good of results as my crown.....Im probably gonna post my results up all at once when my front and top come in.

I had a lot more area to cover than you, with 4301 grafts in the smaller areas you have to cover I will bet you will look like you've never lost a hair when that all comes in.

  6. I bought 6000 euros from my bank in the US and carried them with me when I went to Spain and had no problems.....if you don't want to carry it then you should maybe try to find out if they have a currency exchange at the airport in Istanbul and if so if you can use a debit or credit card to buy the currency (I know there was a currency exchange booth in the airport in Madrid) although I would be a little worried about a possible language barrier while trying to buy the euros.

I know you said they want cash on site but if they would be ok with it you could also do a wire transfer of the money from your bank to their account and pay ahead of time? I paid a 1500 euro downpayment for my surgery this way.

  7. My itchiness pretty much subsided by around one month after the transplant.....still had some itch afterwards but nothing like the first month.....I bet your itch is from the minoxidil.....I can't use that stuff cause it makes my scalp extremely itchy.....its probably the propylene glycol used in the liquid form.....I don't think the minoxidil foam has that in it.....you might be better using the foam
