  1. Some of Diep's hairlines look very nice. American rather than European, but I'm in Australia, so either side will be a look distance away.
  2. Thanks everyone for your replies. The general consensus appears to be that I should be looking at temple points rather than lowering the hairline.
  3. Thanks for your comments, definitely food for though. Regarding the issue of graft numbers, clearly a more radical outcome will require more grafts. However, the impression that I get is that for similar outcomes some surgeons use much more grafts than others, which to me isn't the way to go.
  4. Thanks for the information. What about Dr Feriduni? I believe he too is potentially one of the more aggressive doctors. From what I've seen Dr Erdogan gets great results, but appears to use lots of grafts in doing so.
  5. I thought Lorenzo had a reputation for very conservative hairlines.
  6. Hi, Given that my original transplant was 2 years ago what is the virtue in waiting further? Since the first transplant had no issue with shock loss I would assume that the risk with a further one would be small, especially given the fact I'm in my 40s and am on Finasteride.
  7. Hi This question (to put things into context) concerns a thread I had in another part of this forum regarding getting another transplant for a more aggressive hairline: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/186017-seeking-second-aggressive-fue-transplant.html I'd be more than happy to consider Bisanga again, but my understanding is that Bisanga is conservative by nature, so he might refuse to do further work on me. From what he told me when undertaking the first transplant, he feels that hairlines should be conservative otherwise it might look strange on people like myself in future decades, eg, when I'm in my 60s. My personal view differs. Ronald Reagan for instance had a near perfect hairline and it looked great on him even in his 70s. Further, as my hairloss has stabilised for some time on Finasteride I believe that a more aggressive hairline in my case is feasible.
  8. Here's an immediate post-surgery photo: Note that the part in the centre front (the forelock) had native hairs there already. Apparently hairs were transplanted there as a prophylactic measure in case I lose native hairs there when older. Other information: Am in my mid 40s, have been on Finasteride for a long long time (over a decade).
  9. Hi Everyone I had a FUE by Dr Bisanga involving approximately 2000 grafts. It was undertaken in early 2015. Here are the before photos: Here are the results at the 2 year mark:
  10. Hi everyone, I was formerly a NW3, and 2 years ago had a FUE HT, approximately 2000 grafts. I live in Australia but went to Europe for my HT. Here is what my hair looks like now: Nothing went wrong with the 1st procedure. Had good yield. I am now looking at getting a 2nd FUE HT because I prefer a more aggressive hairline. I'm in my mid 40s. I'm looking for recommendations and/or comments from this forum.
  11. Agreed that many Norwood 3s after their surgery end up with his pre-op hairline. However, I actually think a more aggressive approach is warranted in many cases. Even for someone approaching 40 or older. There seems to be talk of a hairline being 'age appropriate'. The implication being that a strong hairline on an older man looks unnatural. Yet take a look at photos of people like the late Ronald Reagan when he was president. A perfect hairline, looks great on him. Or George Clooney. Etc. Of course, if donor preservation is an issue, then there is reason for conservatism. And if someone is a Norwood 4 or upwards clearly this type of post-op hairline isn't attainable. But for others, this kind of outcome should be on the menu without surgeon conservatism inaccurately stating that things need to be 'age appropriate'.
  12. Well - does anyone have any - any plausible suggestions at all - suggestions about what is going on.
  13. I've attached a photo of 1 day after the final day of surgery. It's subtle, but the inside of the circled area has less stubble than the surrounding areas - as I said, I've noticed that this area looked different from early on.
  14. Hi I still am not sure how I understand how this is likely to be shedding given that: -it's been an issue since shortly after the surgery -the hairs are all next to each other. -some of the hairs appear to be very short rather than non-existent. Anyone have any ideas?
  15. Hi I'm 13 days post op and there is something that is causing me worry. This photo (taken 2 days ago) shows that there is a patch in the middle of the circle where the hairs appear to be markedly shorter than the rest of the transplanted areas. It's only an issue on the right temple. I noticed that this area looks more sparse very soon after the surgery, so this isn't something that has just become apparent in the last few days. It's been suggested that it's a shedding issue, but I can't believe this to be the case. After all, it became apparent just after the surgery, and the hairs in question are bunched together. Background information: I had just over 2000 grafts over a 2 day period. On the fist night of the surgery some grafts became dislodged due to scratching. These were replaced in the 2nd day of the surgery. I am close to 100% confident that I did not dislodge anything after the 2nd day of the surgery. This region that is concerning me might be the area of the grafts that were dislodged & replaced, though am not sure.
  16. Hi everyone I live in Australia, am a Norwood 3 with almost no loss at the vertex. I have been stable on Finasteride for many years, but wish to obtain a full hairline. Given the lack of reputable FUE surgeons in Australia, I have emailed the practices of both Dr Feriduni & Dr Bisanga with my photos. Dr Bisanga's clinic appears to believe that I needed about 1700 grafts, whereas Dr Feriduni's seems to think 2400 - 2600 was the right amount. Given the difference, I would like people's input here as to what they think. I've attached photos.
