  1. Future_HT_Doc, Yes, I told the doctor that I wanted to keep my hair short, 1cm (grade 3), but she made the scar wider so she could get more grafts & told me afterwards I need to keep my hair a minimum 2 cm to hide the scar. So based on what she said, I am researching scar revision. In any case, can you please tell me if scalp hair or beard hair is better for fue into scar?
  2. I have attached an image. I just got the surgery less than a month ago. There are still absorbable stitches there, so you won't be able to see the full scar.
  3. Hi, I'm looking for a good surgeon to perform scar revision via FUE. Should I get it done by beard hair or scalp hair? Can someone recommend a good surgeon for this that costs max 2 euro/graft via FUE. Thanks
  4. Hi, I'm going to need FUE into scar because my scar is bigger than the doc told me it would be. I was planning on going to either Dr. Doganay or Dr. Bhatti. Do you recommend either of them? Thanks
  5. I'm a norwood 5a. I've been told I can get ~4000-5000 grafts via FUE. I am told this is not enough.
  6. Hey, I'm told that: To get ~5500 grafts via FUT, I would need 2 procedures (3500 1st & 2000 2nd procedure) To get ~4000 grafts via FUE, I would need 1 procedure. Do you think it would make more sense to do one procedure via FUT & then another via FUE? If I do FUT 1st, would I still be able to get ~4000 grafts via FUE, or would that # drop? I hear with every FUT procedure, the scalp gets tighter. Maybe it would make more sense to get one FUT & one FUE instead of 2 FUT? This would also prevent me from having to use body hair. What do u guys think?
  7. @transhair I'm told I can have upto 4000 grafts via FUE. Since I am approaching norwoord 5a, I'm told I would need ~5500 grafts for good covererage @sethicles I have been getting my hair shaved to a grade 2 on the sides & back ever since I'm in high school. I would prefer to do the same, but I guess I could live with a grade 3...
  8. Hey, I was looking into FUE. I can only get ~4500 grafts from my donor area of my head. If I wanted to get ~5500 grafts total via FUE, I would need to use body hair as well. Which do u feel is more aesthetically appealing: FUE with donor hair from head (4500 grafts) + body hair (1000 grafts) or FUT with only donor hair from head (5500 grafts)? Thanks
  9. I was told I'm not a good candidate for FUE due to my advanced hair loss. Or else I wouldn't consider FUT, but seems like I got no choice...
  10. I'm thinking of getting FUT. Thing is, I generally keep my hair short. What grade can I shave my head after FUT? 1,2,3,4? Thanks
  11. Hi, I have stitches on a small part of the top of my head ever since I'm young. Hair has never grown there ever since I had the stitches. If I get a hair transplant, would I be able to have grafts implanted on the area with stitches? Are the stitches something I should make the doctor aware of? Would the doctor be able to figure it out if I forget to mention it? Thanks
  12. Hi, I'm planning on getting a hair transplant overseas. How long do I need to wait to remove the sutures? Do I need the HT surgeon to remove it? Or can I get it done by someone else? Thanks
