  1. I do feel stubble, just not sure how much is new hair and how much is me wanting it to be new hair.
  2. No, I actually gained a little and kept my hair with fin that's why I've stuck with it so long. No plans to get off I understand that I will lose more as I age.
  3. When I go see dr Arocha I will ask him to send me the before pics,he even took some a year before my procedure as I was at the beginning stage of planning/saving. I know that some are slow growers and have experienced results later but its disheartening to see how many people have shown dramatic improvements in 3-5 months, much more than myself at more than 6 now. I did plenty of research in the years leading up to this so my expectations aren't unreal, but after spending 18k on this procedures better damn we'll get something out of it.
  4. 5 months & as of today 6 months out. Sorry for the multiple posts. Am I expecting too much? Are these pretty typical results?
  5. So I'm 6 months in with my FUT from Dr. Arocha. I had my FUT done on Nov 21st of 2014 at his office in Houston. I have nothing negative to say about the experience, other than I wish I was a little more prepared for the scar. But hey, it is worth it if I get the desired results. I am 37 years old, started thinning in my mid-late twenties. Started on finasteride at age 26 and still continue to this day (no side effects). Finally decided to take the plunge with Dr. Arocha and did a mega session of 4070 grafts. I did post-op follow up as well as 2 months in, going to back for another visit soon. All indications that everything went fine and he was very positive about how the results would end up. However, I am 6 months in and I am starting to get nervous. I have seen a little bit of growth, but not nearly what I have seen from others with this amount of grafts at this stage. Everyone says you should have more than 50% growth by month 6. Is that true? Please take a look at my pics and tell me I'm just being paranoid. Pics below are 1 day after surgery.
  6. But I have been wearing a hat all week and nobody has bugged me about it. Being the owner has its advantages I guess. Picked up some toppik tonight cause I have a couple parties to attend this weekend. We'll see!
  7. They never told me I should do as much. I had two consultations (about a year apart) but in both my hair was short and it wasn't mentioned or wasn't a major concern I guess?
  8. Thanks guys I could pull off wearing a hat for a couple days, but after that I will be dodging questions and I hate lying. I will also undoubtedly have to visit clients in the field over the next couple weeks. Just extremely nervous about how I pull this off without people noticing. I do know end the end I will be very happy, just have to get past this part.
  9. Had my first HT this past Monday with a reputable surgeon on this board. Everything seems to be going as planned, however, my donor scar is quite larger and more noticeable than I expected. One of my main concerns going into this was that I prefer my hair fairly short (2 guard in back & sides) and that I would be able to return to work in 7 days without worrying about covering anything up. I thought I made that pretty clear to them. Well, I have 2 days left and this scar seems much more massive than I expected and there is no way it is going to disappear by Monday. I've seen plenty of results from this Dr. and the donor scar is barely noticeable (after healing) and I still feel very confident about the procedure and that everything will be good. But I'm a little worried about how long it will take for the donor scar to heal up. Not to mention he decided to take a chunk of hair off the side to boot! Am I going to resort to wearing a hat and coming up with excuses for the next two weeks?
