Hi,
The waiting list wasn't that long, I had my consult on the 10th of October. The Dr. had a few slots open this year which was my priority so I opted the 23rd of November.
In total I paid €7740 for 2350 grafts.
The procedure was fully done with a motorized punch.I hope this helps 🙂
Thats a very good help. Thanks for putting numbers on very kind of you!

Looking nice man! Please do keep sharing.
I really think you'll have a stellar result looking at how far you've come in such a short space of time!

thats really nice work. She must be thrilled with her results.

Dr Umar is another person I am looking into as well.
I know of nobody in Turkey specialising in afro hair and after one botched attempt in Turkey I would strongly suggest you make sure the surgeon has a strong history of working with Afro hair or you will be disappointed with results. Afro hair is very different to other hair types.

I do like the look of Dr Bisanaga's work. I will be keeping an eye on his work, his patients seem happy and he's aftercare seems A1. He seems to be posting more Afro hair work and he's youtube channel has some nice work.
Do keep us posted as I'm in the same situation with you.
Dr Diep seems to come up a lot. His team are disorganised in my experience (the cancelled on my last minute). Even allowing for that I didn't find them slick to deal with personally but he has brilliant results. I do hear complaints about donor area though. Others I'm sure will be on here to comment more.

wow that looks brilliant man!
Thank you for sharing the journey!!

wow. That was a brilliant result especially with Afro type of hair. I will be keeping an eye on your work for sure! Please do send us more Afro type hair if you have suck patients.

Thats a very nice result. Top work, more posts from persons of similar Afro background would be greatly appreciated.

That looks amazing and only 8 months on....bring us more results for Afro hair!! 😉
-
Very interested in this case as someone of African descent.
-
I did find Dr Diep's team to be very disorganised he's work does look decent.

Does Dr Bisanga take beard hair in his FUE cases?
-
Mate your looking good it's only going to get denser! Please keep us updated!

I’ll also add that Umar has a manual curl punch tool he uses for curly hair.
Do you feel that this leads to better quality results?

Wise. I would avoid too. Black hair is already difficult to transplant without adding further complications/worries.
You will know more than me as you will have researched it more than me (I am white) but most of the European surgeons, or at least the ones I spoke to, send their black patients to Lupanzula and Bisanga. I have seen a couple of results from Feriduni which were good and I would say, if you add Feriduni to the list above, that he is the best overall surgeon mentioned.
Oh thank you for your responses it is much apprectiated. How is your FUE journey?

Dr. Bisanga never ceases to amaze me, he's definitely one of the very best in FUE.
I do agree his work does look consistently brilliant. My only reservation is the lack of afro hair patients. I was going to go for a consolation in USA (again). He is literally a train ride from me. It'll be a no brainer for me personally. I am organising an online consultation and I will be sure to let the communtiy know how I get on.

I can recall Dr. Bisanga, being very good at afrocentric hair, it would be great if @Raphael84 and @sl could share some examples on here.
I'm struggling to find post of afro centric hair. I literally can find only two posts so far 😞

I look forward to seeing the replies to this topic!

Thanks for your further questions guys.
@MJM Sorry I missed your question, hence the delay in responding. I would look at it the other way in saying that BHR Athens resident surgeons will be more in demand in time as more of their work and results become more established and therefore the market will change. I believe that this will ultimately dictate the situation long term. There is certainly no immediate plans for Dr Bisanga to discontinue performing surgery in Athens. BHR Athens is now becoming more established and interest is growing in the clinic daily.
@Afrohead Surgery in Brussels have Dr Bisanga as the only performing surgeon. He has his technicians that help to extract (not punch) and placing technicians.
Please let me know if you may have any further questions.
Stay safe everybody.
Thank you for replying me so promptly I wasn't expecting that! Please may I ask does he a lot of experience working with afro hair. I asked because I am of African background and I have found through painful experience that very few surgeons are able to work on my hair type and achieve good results. I do love his work but I am concerned whether he can replicate that on my hair type!!
