Hey Justin-great post-we are pretty much the same age and I'm hoping to feel the same way when I have mine. It's hard when people make comments-people say things that I would never in a million years even remotely consider saying to someone. I guess people are just rude and miserable. Anyway-only a few grand away from what I need. Just hope I can manage having a scar for the first month or so. Later-Ken

Buddy-your hair looks GREAT!!! When you see your pics next to eachother you went from looking like 30something back to looking like a mid-20's guy. Def one of the best HT's I've seen. Still saving up for mine-27 in Providence RI. Well done-you must be happy.

thanks guys-i hate the idea of needing a 2nd HT down the road. At the same time i'm not about to wait till i'm totally bald to get the first ht. Maybe being on propecia will stop further loss and 1 ht will make do.

Is is not a good idea to get an HT for a major fill-in? I am not bald but jsut majorly thinned. What is the standard outcome for people that get fill in work done-as opposed to a bald head getting a full HT. Can transplanted hair be well mixed into the natural heads hair in teh front-especially the hairline?

Same boat-just turned 27. What kills me is that I first noticed my hair loss back around 97. I noticed it the very month that propecia came on the market. I was in denial and didn't even consider taking medication. Fast forward to 2004 and this past year reality has set in and my hair has thinned BIG time. I notice it when I see not so old pictures that look totally different not to mention people that make occassional comments as a "joke". Now I'm 27 and just started propecia a few months ago and am actually saving up for a HT to get my natural hairline restored. I can't help but wonder if my thinning would be still be undetectable if I just went on propecia the second I heard about it.

I experienced the most serious itching of my life when I started. Itching everywhere you can imagine-I toughed it out though and in a few months it went away. Someone joked that it shrunk their member-I know this sounds crazy but it seems like mine doesn't get as big as it used to. Like there isn't as much blood going to it. How can I word this...my once thick head doesn't seem to get as thick as it used to. Can anyone relate to this? And please no jokes here.

What exactly is FUE. I've heard it mentioned but I'm not sure what it is all about. Why is there so much talk about it?

Interesting topic although I've NEVER heard of this-and I hope it's not true. My doc read to me the list of side effects and the most serious one I learned of was itching. That's about it.

Hello-I am 26 and started Propecia 3 months ago. Oddly-I noticed my hairline receding in 98 right around the time that Propecia came on teh market. I guess I was in denile becuause I just now went on it. I wish I started it then-maybe I wouldn't have a thin hair line. I haven't really noticed a difference yet but it's still early. I'm just hoping ot stop further loss. I'm not even thinking about regrowing. The only side affect I experienced was serious itching. I mean SERIOUS itching the first month I was on Propecia. It was everywhere all the time-but I stuck it out and it did go away. I wanted to go on Proscar but my doc wouldn't give it to me.
