I remember your, we met and had a conversation at the clinic. Be honest, are you serious about the infections and clinic using same pen needles on multiple patients? Were the pen needles professionally sterilized between operations? Scalp infection is my least concern, those needles could spread HIV/Hepatitis.

Please try to update this case monthly. I am considering BHR clinic for my next operation to correct previous poor result by AHD clinic. I consulted BHR before i had any work done in 2014 but they refused to operate on me since i was 21 years old back then. Atm 23 years so maybe they will agree me this time as i will be a repair patient as well and maintaining well with treatments.

I agree, getting a hair TRANSPLANT is a serious issue and for fuck's sake it seems that some retarded 'IAHRS' certified and 'recommended' clinics are simply making business and have no interest in delivering life changing and enhancing results for suffering human beings. Once you're cut you are cut and will face every new day and people in your life with your surgically changed look. IT ISN'T SOMETHING YOU CAN TAKE LIGHTLY AND RUSH! Shouldn't play with fire, burned patients can become dangerous and make the doctor pay for his greediness. Please keep us updated with your recent BHR clinic experience, i am seriously considering them for my repair, have never seen a single failed result by them and it seems that the doctor is heavily involved in the procedure.

Due to recommendation by Hairtransplantnetwork I also went to AHD clinic ~2 years ago. For the first 6 months i felt optimistic about my progress, but then it turned out that another side of my hairline (transplanted by tech) wasn't filling in and left a noticeable gap between my old hairline and transplanted hair. In certain conditions when i see my reflection in the mirror it looks freaky and artificial. I just completed my 1 year army service and realized what kind of psychological/social impact a failed hair transplant can have on one's daily life. Giving lectures in front of crowd possessing an unnatural looking hairline made me regret my decision. I spent years getting information about the best methods, trying to make sure that some day i would get it done right in professional hands. After my operation i have read about many failed cases delivered by this certain FUE clinic. However, I've moved on and focussed on other more important things in life. One day I will get another HT done by the best of the best in the industry like BHR/Feriduni. Also, the link you provided in another thread is pretty alarming. A web page where patients are collecting failed cases by certain clinic is something that i've never seen before, sure it tells something. I can send you photos at some point. I have been taking finasteride, minoxidil and nizoral shampoo for over 2 years with great success and ZERO side effects. The reason i made this post was not to complain about my result but rather provoke discussion about the pros/cons of getting a HT at a young age when it usually affects you the most.

I got the impression by their responses that they refused since there is possibility of experiencing further hairloss behind the transplanted area which would lead to unnatural appearence if the hair is GROWN OUT. However when shaved it becomes a non issue and i had nothing to lose since i was already spending most of my time with shaved head. I just would like to have possibility to have good frontal hair as long as possible and then when it progresses too far shave it down and live with it for the rest of my life. As i stated i'm not criticizing the clinic i went to since they were really professional and did their best, i just feel that in my case with fine straight hair i would have benefitted from different approach (manual extraction & pre made incisions) and feel that choi implanter is more beneficial for those with thick hair (asian, turkish people). However they were the only ones who understood what i was trying to express. I think that every case should be handled on case-by-case basis and in certain cases there is nothing wrong to get it done in your early twenties.

Recently i had hairline work done by clinic recommended by this website, before my op i was turned out by many other clinics due to my low age (early twenties) even though i had stated that if i experience further hairloss i will shave completely down with no guard or razor. I had dense head of hair but a recessed NW3 hairline on already high forehead so growing it out was not a good option for me, i't looked better shaved but it frustrated me as i still had lots of thick healthy hair left. Now 9 months post op i buzzed it with no guard and no one could tell that i had done anything, donor scarring is undetectable and even with shaved look it gives some frame to face and looks much better that before i had done anything, i won't be having any regrets long term. However the yield was not optimal and right side of my hairline didn't turn out dense enough to make me satisfied so now i have to get further work done if i want to grow it out. What frustrates me is that some of the best clinics which perform manual extraction with great success turned me down only because of my low age even though i expressed clearly my situation. So i couldn't choose a best clinic based on my research and which would have best suited me my specific case and went to turkey for micromotor extraction and choi implanter (only because they were the only ones who agreed to perform FUE despite my age) and didn't get optimal result and had to shave it down anyways!! In the end of the day i remained with a bald look and i can't understand why some clinics are not ready to perform FUE on guys in their twenties who are ready to shave their heads but just PREFER to wear hair? As the yield was not optimal i have now wasted some valuable grafts which i can't get back and it frustrates me! I'm not slacking the clinic as these things sometimes happen, however i believe that for fine caucasian hair manual extraction is a benefit and provides a better outcome. I have to completely disagree with you. I have seen many cases where nw 4-5 was transplanted with similar conservative hairline. Why should i wait until i reach my fourties or fifties and progress to nw4 and then transplant exactly same kind of hairline which was now transplanted at my age 21? We didn't use high density and i have lots of donor hair left so it will be easy to fix if i lose hair behind transplanted area. I found out that i was having scalp ringworm infection (tinea capitis) which resulted as shedding 7 months post op. I succesfully treated it with terbinafine and now recovering from the infection and growing back my hair. Also got a late burst of growth for my right side hairline which was lagging behind, i'm on my way to good result, It just took it's time.

Doesn't it look/feel like that? To me it looks like it might be the case, but not a severe one. I was confirmed by my doc that it was the case.

Hard to judge from photos but make sure its not scalp ringworm (tinea capitis). I had ringworm infection which started around 7 months post my fue transplant. Its uncommon in adults and mainly affects children so i think that it had something to do with dermarolling combined to minoxidil apllication advised by clinic, normal sebum production protects scalp from infection but dermarolling causes small wound which can get infected. Ringworm infection causes brittle hair which breaks of easily leaving bald patches with stubble remaining. Usually the infected scalp area looks scaly/reddish. Nizoral shampoo/Head and shoulders can help to relieve symptoms but wont kill the fungi. In case of ringworm you need to take oral antifungal medication like terbinafine for several weeks. I shed lots of hair but majority have started to grow back now when i started the medication. Go to see dermatologist to find out what's going on! Edit: i took a closer look and pretty sure its infection!! I contacted the clinic and told them not to advise dermarolling for patients as i seem not to be the only infected case! I had similar symptoms. Get on medication asap!! First terbinafine dose gave me horrible anxiety, vivid nightmares, panic attack and depression so be prepared. Now recovering from infection and feeling great. I really feel your pain mate. I didn't know what was going on until i made some research, i avoided social contacts with people and felt bad. It was such a relief when i realized it was infection and started to treat it succesfully. Google scalp ringworm and see photos to find out if that's the case. IMPORTANT!!!!! Ringworm is often mixed with seborrheic dermatitis so make sure to see your dermatologist for proper diagnosis!!!! Good news is that it doesn't cause permanent hairloss if treated before it turns to kerion. All the best , hope you recover fast.

Exactly like that, why the hell take the risk if its not necessary?! Anyways, left side which was transplanted by Dr Doganay has good growth, blends well and will turn out really good i'm sure. However after the shedding phase at 7 months post op (loss of miniaturized hair?) right side hairline which was transplanted by some male technician/nurse doesn' blend properly and has lower overall yield and blotchy growth. I contacted the clinic and booked a free touch up for 2nd june, it will be 10 months post op which i think will be enough to judge my result. This time Dr will transplant all the grafts himself they promised. So not a failed case but a bit worried that i will end up with 60-70 % yield instead of 90-100% But i haven't given up hope yet, there are lots of thin wispy hairs coming and between months 8-10 i can expect to see additionall thickening. I know that these things sometimes happen with fue, but the way they treated me, always ansvered to my e-mails fast and provided a free touch up lefts me very hard to say anything negative about the clinic. I will update this once around 9-10 months before my 2nd session.

Yeah, at 6 months i was feeling much better about the progress. Not feeling so optimistic now as i am approaching 8 months and the right side is obviously very weak and blotchy compared to the left side, it doesn't blend properly, there is a gap between transplanted hair and the old hairline. Here are some photos taken 1 day post op at the clinic, does the scabbing look normal? I know that some patients are not good candidates for fue regardless how skilled the doctor is. I really hope that things improve though, its so frustrating to waste limited donor supply and then patiently wait one year for result that never comes. Money doesn't matter after all, but you cant get transected grafts back. Thank god i had just 1500 grafts and have plenty of donor hair left so i have a second change in case of subpar result.

7.5 Months photo in direct sunlight. Before 7 months had 2 weeks break from minox and for some reason shed some transplanted hair. So had to cut it short cos the right side didn't blend properly into the old hairline. After restarting i'm still sprouting new hairs and improving week by week. The clinic promised to provide me a free touch up in case that the result doesn't meet my expectations which i feel very grateful for. Hopefully i don't need one, i seem to be a bit slow grower. Also, 1500 grafts is not a huge amount of hair so i have to give it that 10-12 months.

6 Months photos in different lightning conditions. The hair has equal very short length on top (5/8 inch = 15mm) so there is very little layering effect which could make it look better than it actually is. Just recently i have started to feel much better about the progress, even if it takes 12-18 months for the final result i'm sure that around 9-10 months i will have a pretty good idea of the final outcome. It wont become very dense, but it blends well into the existing hairline and provides good coverage, for a really dense look it would have required around 2000-2500 grafts. Last 2 photos taken in the harshest possible lightning. I know that thickening and maturing of the grafts will make a big difference but hopefully i will still sprout some more. This journey has been truly life changing since i've had issues with my receding hairline from around age 16-17.. It has already made a huge difference to my everyday life, i certainly still remember those feelings when it was at its worst.

5 months photo in natural roomlight with short buzzcut. I can still see lots of grafts which are just penetrating through the scalp. Looks promising, should let it grow out now but it feels good being able to wear this short haircut without any evidence of receding hairline! In my case it was all about framing the face, before ht i always had to wear my hair a bit longer in the front and it looked ridiculous since the recession was going pretty deep.

4 months photos vs pre op , maybe i was expecting a bit more at this point, but for sure hundreds of grafts have already sprouted. I've heard that in most cases 4 months should represent about 20% of the final result and that there will be big changes between months 4-6. I will now let my hair grow out and hope that by month 6 i will see some early results.

3 1/2 months buzzed short. For the first time in many years i'm having a straight hairline again. Now seeing difference almost daily and between 4-6 months it should really begin. After that its more about thickening and maturing of the hair shafts.

3 Months photos, sorry for the bad quality. Lots of the transplanted hairs have started to grow. Most of them are thin and colourless and only visible in certain lightning. Any opinions of my progress? I hope that the growth really kicks in between months 3-6

8 weeks photos, going through the ugly duckling stage:D recently lots of thin wispy hairs have started to grow and they cause pimples when they break through the scalp. What are your thoughts of my progress so far?

1 Month post op photos! Redness in the recipient has faded and can easily be hidden with my native hair, so far no one has commented anything. Donor area has experienced some shock loss and looks a bit thin but nothing major and it should come back withing the next few months. I was advised to start dermarolling the recipient 3 times a week 20 mins each time. I've already got some pimples and stubble breaking through the scalp, is it possible to see regrowth this early? I've started using minoxidil twice daily to kick start growth. I got relatively large area covered with 1500 grafts and hopefully the density will match my native hair as it grows out.

Due to my young age FUT would have been too risky. 1500 FUE grafts with conservative hairline design will not be a disaster if i lose more hair in the future since i can just buzz it very short and still look natural with framed face or i can just add some more grafts. My dad is a NW4 at 60 years old and he still has over 70% of his hair left so with medication i have good changes to maintain my current pattern. Its less than 3 weeks post op and the redness is currently visible only under hars lightning so at 1 month mark it should look unnoticeable if i keep buzzing the transplanted hair. Tapping the recipient site with the cream seemed a bit odd to me since i've read that you should be very careful with the grafts for the first 10 days. One of the nurses tapped my whole recipient site quite hard 1 day post op and i was advised to perform this 3 times daily always before hair wash. Hopefully they know what they are doing since i've been a bit nervous about doing that.. The post op instructions seem to vary to great extent between leading HT clinics.

Well, over two weeks have passed since i had the HT and i think that things are progressing as expected. I had 1500 grafts extracted and implanted in 4 hours, the operation was done unshaved. i was advised to wash my hair three times a day beginning from the day after the operation. I lost all scabs at day 8 and lots of hair were attached to them, i've heard that its normal? Now 17 days post op i still have lots of transplanted hair growing and i expect them to shed soon. graft details 500 single hair grafts 700 double hair grafts 300 triple hair grafts

Great yield and very natural result, even though i wouldn't have gone that low with the hairline as i prefer a more mature look. But it must have been the patients personal preference. By the way, is it true that you are going to change for manual extraction in the near future?
