  1. No No, not the size of red outline lol, its just right above my donor area. Not sure if it's visible in the pic. I will have a haircut today and try posting one more pic.
  2. I had started off with Revita since I had a bit of dandruff but since it did not serve its purpose fully, I switched on to Nizoral. But Revita did leave my hair with a good texture once shampooed, so I am continuing to use it just a bit on other days. Not sure if this is harmful for the hair in the long run.
  3. lol @ turbo charged growth. Looks quite blended in and don't forget to post a pic with the dermatch on.
  4. Has your lump gone? I am also having the same kind of lump above my donor area and i am 3 weeks into an FUT. How long did your lump last for if it did go away eventually.?
  5. I am seeing a lump above my donor area from the start to the end of the donor. It does not cause any pain though. Is this common? I don't feel very comfortable mentally as I am not sure why I am having this. Please let me know if any of you had a similar scenario and if it's something to worry about.
  6. Did you feel any lump above the donor line during the 3 months or during the early weeks?
  7. Yes. I dont care if i look totally bald when I joinlol but I don't want them to see a big smiley scar on my head . If am not able to conceal it, I would say due to medical reasons, i need to wear cap for a few days
  8. That's good to hear that you have crossed one more hurdle. The numbness did reduce a bit after the suture removal. Even for me its little tender above the donor area and so wanted to confirm that I am not the only one with it . The number of times I wake up during my sleep to change my head position has reduced a lot after the suture removal. So that did help a bit . You can check my thread to see my 2 week pics. When taking with iphone, the scalp looks more reddish when compared to my DSLR. Not sure why.:confused: Even my doc was telling his nurse, showing my sutures, so the line starts from here and goes till hereeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, showing all the way across to the other side of my head. I guess the nurse would have seen a big one for the first time Since I am joining a new workplace next week( my week 3), I am also going to have a haircut. Its an official work environment and so am heavilly hoping i can try to conceal this transplant after the haircut. Will update with pics on Saturday how it came out.
  9. Got the sutures out? Is the area above donor still numb/tender ?
  10. Hey guys, I am using Nizoral twice a week and Revita shampoo the other days. Would this be too harsh on the hair? Please advice.
  11. So it has been 2 weeks now and the scabs have gone completely. The hair is growing longer bit by bit. I see a few hairs starting to fall off after I had a good bath and massage on the head. I guess since its past 2 weeks, I can expect more of it to fall off. I am also seeing redness on the scalp. It does not concern me as of now as I am wearing a cap to work.Starting next week, I will be moving to a new city and start working there and i will have a haircut by end of week 3 and see if I can conceal the transplant. If not I might say I am having a medical condition and would like to wear a hat for a few weeks. I took a close up of my scalp to see whats going on there (pic attached) and I could see different lengths of hair. A few were long, a few short, and a few like they are just babies. I asked my doctor why this difference and he said hair grows asynchronously, as in each hair has a cycle of its own and grows at different rates and goes into resting at different times. And since I had a few existing hair here and there, it might look of different length when looked closely. When I feel my donor, i kind of feel there is a small bump above the donor line. I asked my doc if its something to worry about. He said he can't comment on it without seeing and that it might not be something to worry about unless its tender or getting bigger. I am not sure now if its a bump or if i feel its a bump coz there is no hair on the donor area and it's giving an illusion of being a bump because of the sudden fall in hair. I will have a second person take a look at it today and see if they find anything odd going on there. Has anyone experienced this kind of bump feeling above the donor line?
  12. This is a bomb result considering the number of grafts used and the area covered.:eek:
  13. I too just got my graft count and its breakdown today. I see that you have a lot of single hairs compared to mine but less 3's . I guess every individual's head has to be considered differently and comparing with each other wont make much meaning
  14. Thanks buddy. I too feel it would heal up well. I was searching for the nearby surgeons and chicago was the closest to me. I had a few in mind (without much research) but upon looking into the forums, Dr Konior's name sprung up everywhere and then I saw his results and made up my mind to meet him. I actually ran out of questions during the consultation with Dr K and he was just waiting there for me to ask more. Most of the docs I had sent my pics had told me I would need like 3500ish + but none of them took into consideration my age (30 yrs). Only Dr K did and he said we need to go conservative and he explained in very details its importance with respect to my age. And I also had kind of a diffused hair loss and planting more hair could result in a bigger shockloss. This was one factor which actually played a big part coz I really felt he was thinking about my benefit and my long term and not just just plant hair and forget about it. From there on, I just told him to do what he thinks was best for me as I was sure he would balance out what's best for me with my expectations. And I need to wait just less than a year to confirm that my decision was right
  15. Finally got the exact graft count with the 1's 2's and the 3's. I was wrong about the graft count by 14 grafts. But then I was dizzy at the end of the procedure and almost managed to recollect the graft count correctly If someone could help me with how to change the title of this thread to correct the graft count, I can correct it. So as my signature says Single: 595 Two’s: 1730 Threes: 628 Total : 2953 grafts I have seen people getting 4's as well which I have not got. Not sure if its a big factor or not. I am not very knowledgeable about what each count means but I guess more the 2's and 3's , the thicker it would look. I also got the pre op pic from the office which correctly describes how my hair is. I used to grow my hair very long and it might appear thick in the pics I have posted before due to the light settings and the length. As you can see here the total top was almost gone and mostly had dying hairs and the ones left were very brittle and diffused. I have also attached the immediate post op pic which I took but not in the same angle, for a comparison purpose to show how the grafts were placed.
  16. Haha true. Today after the suture removal, I just walked away forgetting to take the cap back and put it on and the nurse came running behind with the cap and I was like oh man, i should just forget about the cap and just keep walking
  17. Finally the day to remove my sutures. I had wanted to go to Chicago to get my sutures removed as it is just 3 hrs drive, but then my work did not permit me to. Tom, the manager said he will find out someone locally and he found out someone ( a top plastic surgeon in my area ) and that too just 4 mins of drive from my work place. So i scheduled an appointment for today and I left my office at 9:15 am and by 9:45 I was back to work . For a second, the nurse was like where's the suture as I had a lot of hair on my donor and it was not easily seen. It was pain free and they said Dr K did a very good job of having a very thin line. I have tried to take a few pics of my donor after removing the sutures today. There's virtually no pain there and I think its healing good. If the pics are not clear enough, let me know and I'll try taking a few more again. Let me know your thoughts about how you think its healing and if you see any shockloss.
  18. The day before my suture removal. The donor area is mostly covered with hair, so am not sure if its very clear in the pic. And I did not bother removing the scabs much. The white stuff you see on my donor line is neosporin antibiotic ointment
  19. Have a safe journey ( Waving to the newly implanted grafts )
  20. I was also advised to spray with saline water, but I think I did it only like 4-5 times a day. Maybe I confused the count with the number of times to shampoo head . I have my suture removal scheduled on Tuesday ( day 12). Hoping all scabs would be gone by then.
  21. One way you are lucky to see how my progress goes as you might expect kind of the same for the first few days/weeks . I did not find any immediate patient of Dr K which I can follow. So I guess i'll just do the wait and watch game
  22. SHOWER DAY !! So the cracks on my head has been growing from small creek like to lakes, rivers and you can see how it is now. Sometimes I see no hair on the portion where the crack is seen. Maybe the hair is there and I cant see it with my naked eye or maybe the hair just fell off leaving the root intact. The scabs looked like tattoos on my head today  Just an hour before I sleep every night I shampoo my head and sleep. I sleep sideways with the side of my face on the pillow as that's one area where no donor/recipient part of the head is. Everyday morning when i get up, i see more cracks formed/more scabs gone. I hope it fell by itself and not by me rubbing it unknowingly against the pillow by sleeping. I also have not poured water directly onto my recipient area till now. Just mixing water and shampoo in a mug and pouring it over my head and letting it flow over my head. So today i sent my pics to Dr K and he told I can start taking regular showers with full force shower stream and that I can also begin direct gentle scalp massage with shampoo to speed loosening of the crusts. He also told me to keep the shower stream on my scalp for a good amount of time to encourage softening of the crust. So that's what I will be doing today. Also, he told me I can wear my hat now without worrying about the grafts. So from tomorrow I can stop wearing the jumbo sized baseball cap to a more natural looking one. I am just going to prepare a bed under the shower and lay there for the rest of the day with the shower on. Have been dreaming of a proper head shower since the age of dinosours.
  23. Oh Wow..Thats way too long a day. And can you imagine he being up at 6:15 early morning again for the next surgery which might go upto who knows how long..:confused::confused:
  24. Congrats buddy. I had the transplant with Dr Konior, just 3 days before you. Will follow your posts and see how your progress . I had asked Tom for my pics from him and he said Dr K was really busy on Monday and had a very long day which went till night and now I guess it might be yours
  25. Again more cracks on my head. Today when I went to work, I told I had a transplant to the first colleague who asked me and he told he that he too had actually asked a doc for a transplant and the doc told he already had too much of hair for a transplant .As the day progressed, almost 5-6 of them inquired about the transplant which they had intended to do or want to do in future. One of them messaged me and asked. I guess he did not want others to know he secretly wanted to do a transplant. By the end of the day I came to know at least in my company, almost half of the guys wished to do a transplant but never spoke about it in open. They were lifting their hair and showing me, see, even I have baldness. We all were having a good laugh when we all opened up. I seemed kind of a celebrity today
