  1. Emilio is top class! I'm booked in with Dr. Pinto for my upcoming surgery in May and very happy with my choice.
  2. A very lucrative one these days! I think Barneveld had a failed FUT hair transplant some years back and has now got SMP done all over instead
  3. Brilliant result Matt. I'm a fellow Dr. Konior patient from years ago, I went with him for my first HT in 2014 based on your results! Haven't thought about it for years but starting to research now a second procedure. Even though there's a long waiting list and his prices have gone up to I see no reason to stray from Dr. Konior again for a second op, donor permitting!
  4. Have a bit of gel in my hair in these ones, very happy with overall result
  5. Really sorry for lack of updates, took a few photos last month and just now. Pics to follow..
  6. Cheers, that was after a trip to the barbers. I can get a no. 4 blade back and sides now without the scar showing through so it's healed up nicely
  7. Okay sorry for the delay to anyone who's interested! Here is my 4 (and a bit) month update when I actually took the photos. It's filling in nicely, very happy with the progress. I need a good camera to do it justice.. for christmas
  8. I'm trying to remember the post op instructions, I think it was 2 weeks post op alright but I'm not 100% sure
  9. Thanks Spanker I'm very happy that it's started to kick in recently. Early growth does seem to be a feature with a lot of Dr. Koniors patients.
  10. Thanks Phantom I had no idea ha! It felt good but its hard to really tell until your hair is short. If the barber mentioned anything I was just going to say yeah don't mind the scar and hope to leave it at that! I'm happy with how it's healed after 3 months though. How is yours coming along?
  11. So finally went to the barbers todays for 1st time since the surgery. I was worried if the scar would show up as he cut so so I asked for a no.5 blade and scissors on top, I didn't mention to him that I'd any work done. After a a minute with the 5 he suggested a no.4 instead and I went along with it. It came out well, I'm really happy that the scar doesn't show with a blade even at this early stage. The shockloss around the scar has grown back, If you look closely you can see an outline alright, sort of like hathead but you'd have to be looking for it. The barber didn't seem to notice anything either, or if he did he played it cool! Few pics attached, The last one taking in a more flattering light indoors
  12. Hi 2youngforthis, The work was mainly behind the hairline. Mostly on the frontal area and temples with some on the mid scalp Cheers cruze14 best of luck with it!
  13. Hi jdhillon, I was able to take 2 weeks off unpaid and then a weeks annual leave on top of this. Although I was in a good bargaining position as I agreed this before accepting the job
  14. Hi SunnyCool, Glad to see you're on the other side of the OP now and the work looks very clean. This will turn out great I'm sure!
  15. Managed to get a couple earlier in natural light. I have a small bit of product in - SAMY fat hair, just before I put in some nanofibres
  16. Sorry bit late with the 3 month update, as Matt says like watching paint dry not much to report, bit of light fuzz maybe, not sure. I think the scar has healed up a good bit but it's hard to tell until I get a haircut.. which I need but am afraid to go to the barbers The last couple of times I used the clippers on myself but have a wedding in a few weeks time so I may get a proper job done Same issues with these photos as before - crappy camera phone, no natural light in this country on winter evenings, pasty white forehead!
  17. Cheers mate, the shock loss around the scar is still there, but I've enough hair to cover it now. That's pretty much my old hairline but it's not going to change much when the new hair grows. Most of my loss was just behind the hairline so it's more of a filling in job. I'll try get some pre-op pics from the office to show this
  18. Thanks SunnyCool, that's what really impressed me about the doctors work the most. How clean it was, it makes the process a whole lot easier to go undetected. I am on generic finasteride 5mg, which i split into quarters to make it 1.25g daily. I've been on it for over 3 years., with a break in between for about 6 months. Hmm, I'm not too sure of the graft breakdown to be honest. I know none were used on the crown anyway, we agreed to concentrate on the frontal area/hairline and temples with some on the mid scalp. I'll hopefully address the crown in the future if my donor allows

  20. It's been 2 long months since I had my op. I'm happy so far, things have improved a good bit in the last few weeks. The numbness around the donor area has disappeared. Pretty much all my native hair has grown back as well. The scar is still fairly red and there's a bit of shock loss on the left hand side and at the bottom of the line towards my neck. My hair is long enough to cover it now, although I am gone scruffy looking and could do with a haircut. I'll ride it out another few weeks then try tidy it up myself with the trimmer. Not brave enough to face the barbers yet! Hopefully I'm over the worst part now. Besides the few people i told no one else seems to have noticed I had anything done. It looks better when I use a small bit of nanogen and some hairspray. The photos aren't the best.. I tried to take some in natural light at first but the fading light of winter and me getting home late from work means they turn out crap. It doesn't help that I only have a camera phone as well. if I'm around during the day this week I'll try get some better ones
  21. Hi phantom, 2 months gone now so you're hopefully over the worst of it. You're story is very similar to my own, pre op hair is almost all back, redness went about the same stage and I also have some shock loss at the suture line at the back of my head as well, but it should grow back I'm not too worried about it. I don't think you should be either it's common enough. Happy growing an can't wait to see your next milestone update because that'll mean I'm closing in on mine as well
