  1. On the Nioxin web site, it states they do not recommend using any Nioxin products in conjunction with Rogaine. However, I have read numerous reviews online from people stating they do use these products together. Does anyone know why Nioxin recommends not using them together? Is there a real reason for not combining them or is this more of a marketing issue trying to persuade customers not to buy or use Rogaine?
  2. I had a hair procedure done by Dr. Vito Quatella in Rochester, NY about two months ago. I specifically asked him about shampoos, etc and he recommended Nioxin. I've only used Nioxin for about 6 weeks now so it is still too early to tell if it will help grow hair for me, but the shampoo & conditioner feel better on my scalp than any shampoo I have ever used including Nizoral, which I used on and off for years.
  3. Hello John, I agree, I like the shampoo and the conditioner feels quite good as well. Do you use or have you tried the Nioxin Scalp Treatment? I am curious if you prefer Rogaine over the Nioxin scalp treatment or if you use both together. On a side note, have you tried the Nioxin vitamins? Thanks for the feedback, Mark
  4. I know if you have new hair growth from Rogaine and you stop using Rogaine, it will most likely begin falling out again. If you are taking Propecia or Avodart when you stop using Rogaine, will they prevent your new Rogaine hair from falling out? Thanks, Mark
  5. Hi all, I just started using Rogaine one month ago so I haven't seen any results yet. When I asked him about which shampoo to use, my hair transplant physician recommended I try Nioxin. I seem to fit their Nioxin 2 system best. My question is, can you use Nioxin and Rogaine together? Does anyone have an opinion about which one is better or if they are equal? Thanks, Mark
  6. Of course, I can't remember the name of it, but I have some sort of mild skin disorder that has caused my scalp to be itchy and dandruff prone since I was a teenager. Nizoral worked for a little while, but not great. I tried all the over the counter products and none of them worked. I went to a Dermatologist finally who gave me a prescription for Clobex shampoo and it works great for me. My hair and scalp feel 10x cleaner after I use it and the dandruff disappears. Hope that helps, Mark
