  1. My vote is for Mark. To be so young and to worry about hairless all the time just plain sucks. I also was very young (IM 25 NOW) and had a deeply receded hair line and I became obsessive over every second of every day. I luckily had the means to afford Hair transplant and it CHANGED MY LIFE. I now wake up everyday and look at how good my hair looks rather than seeing how bad it is. I now have the confidence i had when i was in my teenage years and I know that if mark were go get this it would change his life forever as well. He is a DJ and an artist and IMO your looks are very important in this type of work. I am not saying that the other contestants aren't deserving but he's only 25 and hair is very important for a young man.GOOD LUCK MARK, I FEEL FOR YOU MAN, I KNOW IF YOU WIN IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE
  2. Xtactic5, We are always going to be our biggest critic, nit picking at the littlest things. The few people I have told about my procedure can't even tell but "I know" and "can tell" the difference. Also I feel that the way the "hair" is styled can play a role in the "scalp exposure." I personally, I like to use hair product and flip my hair in the front, but If i were to simply comb my hair over to one side you wouldn't be a able to see any scalp. Another thing IMO is that in normal lighting you can't really tell anything has been done but if I am under a bright light, then you can see the difference. A couple of things I do to "increase" the look is I use a shampoo called "THE BIG 3" and it is a shampoo that rids the scalp of "DHT", topically of course and it is also great for given the hair a lot of volume, which make the hair look fuller. I also accompanied this by blow drying my hair which also adds to the volume. I recommend trying these things, especially the shampoo "THE BIG THREE BY LIPOGAINE." It a little pricy but works well. Overall, I from the pictures look pretty solid and if your not doing the tips I provided above, give it a shot, I am sure it will help. Out of curiosity, how many "hairs" did your 1957 graft procedure
  3. IMO its hard to tell on just the two photos ( I would have like to have seen the hairline at different angles.) Here is something to think about, from what I've read for each norwood level 2-7 it is roughly estimated that there is about a 10,000 hairs lost for norwood levels starting at 2 Example a Norwood 2 would have roughly lost about 10,000 hairs. Over the course of 18 months I have had two FUT procedures totaling 3096 grafts totaling about 6400 hairs. So I can say "roughly" that I have about 64% density recovered in the transplanted areas and in hair transplant one can achieve 50% density and it will look like 100%. Again this is a very rough estimate but I can say after my results (and roughly 64% of density) that my results look like i have a full had of hair. Overall your hairline looks pretty solid and natural, anything added after that would just be a bonus
  4. Sam at the time of my 1st proceudre (August 28, 2013), I would say that I was a NW 3 but native hair was very thick and course. 1st HT consisted of 1559 grafts(3,118 Hairs). At 4 months i started to see a lot on initial growth, at 6 months it was starting to make a cosmetic difference and at 8 at looked great. At that point people I hadn't seen awhile were giving me "looks" like how is this guy looking younger, I was happy but wanted more. On july 22, 2014 I had my second procedure consisting of 1537 grafts (3,283 Hairs) so 7 weeks ago, my goals on the 2nd procedure were to add additional density to the previously transplanted areas and get the hairline thicker.( I liked how the Hair line was after the 1st procedure and thought it would be best to not lower it any further, I never had a perfectly straight hairline anyway). I am however experiences a slight shock loss but thats expected. I also do use ketakonzol shampoo called "the big 3" and its suppose to clean the scalp of DHT. Its also great in volumizing hair which makes it look even thicker. The Doc said someone with my degree of hair loss and since its was already my second procedure he stated"
  5. Danny, I myself started loosing my hair at young age just as your are experiencing. The good thing about you is that you are aware of it (I was in denial until I graduated college). From the pic you have, I would say that you still youthful looking hair. I agree with the FutureHTDoc below. Finasteride can work wonders for thickening existing hair and stabilizing future loss
  6. Sam, I am 24 and post op 7 weeks from my second procedure. I started taking 1/4 (1.25 mg) of finasteride every other day starting in November of 2013, ( the active ingredients stay in your blood for up to 3 days) so every other day is my regiment. What i can tell you from my personal experience is that for the first few months I did notice a slight decrease in libido, which is not the case now and also increased shedding for the first few months. When I went to see my HT Doc for the second consultation (back in June 2014) he did say "great news your loss has stabilized and your native hair looks much thicker, so we won't have transplant into uncharted territory just fill in the cracks for additional density". I would say that i DIDNT gain any new hair growth but definitely stabilized my hair loss and made my existing hair thicker. From what I've read finasteride as far as "hair regrowth" usually only works in the crown region but again this is my personal experience.
  7. Hey Everyone, This is my first post so bare with me here. Recently my life has become very mentally straining and I have been thinking about taking my ADHS meds(vyvanse, adderall) (I havent taken them in about 1.5 years even before my first procedure). Also i recieved my second HT about 7 weeks ago. My question is that is there anyone out there who has been in a simliar situation. I dont wont to risk the future growth of my hair by doing this
