  1. Yes to all questions :D hehe..

Finpecia is a tablet which has Finastride.

Tugain is minoxidil and i use 5%. comes in 2,5,10 i think. Both liquid and foam versions are available.

Yes these are manufactured by Cipla.

    Cheers :)

    Thanks man .. appreciate it.

I posted my update on my thread if you're interested taking a look.

  2. Hi,

I am using Finpecia and Tugain :) sorry for the delay in response :)

Finpecia is a tablet which has Finastride?

Is Tugain is minoxidil? It comes in liquid version or a foam (just like Rogaine Foam)?

What brand these medicines are they coming under? Is it Cipla?

  3. You need to get that cut! Getting too thick.:D I think it will even look like better growth with it shorter on the sides. Ya you are on your way to a great result. Amazing what kind of growth between 3 and 4 months isn't it?

Bro, 3 to 4 months is I believe the peak as far as growth is concerned. Everyday I am excited looking at the mirror in the morning. I've seen drastic change in last 3 weeks... quiet amazing. I was completely bald from the front middle and now I hardly see the scalp.

  4. Thanks buddy :)

    Yes im happy :)

This could be the maximum right ? or i may get few more (sounding too greedy uh ?)

    Cheers :)

    Hi hairisimportant,

    Ive a question.

Which finastride & minoxdril brand you use in India? I will really appreciate if you could provide these details as soon as practical.

  5. Looks even denser now than it was just last week. Yes, looks like time for that haircut. I'm sure it will feel better to get the sides shortened! We should both be happy with the growth we are seeing 4 months in right now.

Agreed bro. So far so good. Keeping my fingers cross.

Yea it's a haircut time & it's been a while so totally looking forward to it.

I'll post my next pic after the cut (March 6th).

  6. I am happy with the progress so far.

I am going for first haircut on March 6th so my next update will be after the cut. Right now I am not able to style or do much with transplanted hair however it will make more sense after haircut, picture will look more clear. Transplanted hair will get mature & find better texture. I just clicked couple of pics so just thought of sharing them with ya'll.

  7. Looks amazing dude. If & when you get a chance, please take one top view as well. This is looking very promising.

This gives me lots of confidence to me to go for a haircut :-)

Nobody could detect scar at all. What size are you keeping from the back?

  8. Yes, those are the hair points that stick out a little bit toward the eyebrows on the side of the head. I personally think temple points give a younger appearance and help the temple corners from being too much of a 90-degree angle transitioning from the top to the sides, which can tip off that a HT has been done. Have to be careful though, as poorly done temple points can look fake and thus doubly-defeating the purpose (actually could make a HT more obvious). They need to be very subtle and not result in being too thick.

That's why it is always better if the patient has retained his natural points, such as Squatch. They help enhance the naturalness of a completed HT.

I completely agree with what hadenough said here; temple points are very important. Look at some of the good cases of temple point restoration (one of the references would be matt1978’s case) ...the difference in how the face is framed is substantial. Addition of nicely done temples makes unbelievable difference. During my procedure I planned for 4500 grafts as I wanted to use 300 (approx) for fixing temple points. We could get only 4023 grafts so I had to give up on this idea which was disappointing. I would like to get this done during my second procedure; Dr Shapiro also suggested the same thing. There are only few surgeons in my opinion who are really good at creating/fixing temple points.

I wonder how many grafts are required to create or to fix temple points. It depends on case to case but is there a range at least?
