I've been an avid reader on the site and wanted to get everyone's opinion.
Just to give you all a little background. I'm asian, I started to lose my hair little by little starting at 24. You all will notice I still have hair, but the hair (the non horseshoe portion) doesnt grow long anymore while the horseshoe portion (the donor hair area) grows like crazy.
Obviously I'm asian so my density is better than most caucasians. I also know Asians have "less" hair in general, maybe around 80,000? But looks can be deceiving, because while some photos looks like I am not balding, there are other photos where you can easily tell I am.
I went to Dr. Koher in Raleigh Durham Area, and I also went to Dr. Cooley since many of you recommended him.
I am thinking of getting roughly 2500, or 3000 grafts. Both recommended roughly 1500-2500.
Any thoughts? I've attached several photos and you all can gauge. I'll try to put them in chronological order so you can see the progression.
I finally decided to post and help represent some of the asian race, you all seem very supportive and passionate about this, which is great
I'm going to start on Propecia (finasteride), and I'm starting to use Revita Shampoo for 8 months, then maybe beginning of 2010, I may get a HT, but I'm wondering if I should wait a tad longer to see if my hair progression increases in speed....
