  1. I have put almost all of Dr Umar's' statements in quotation boxes and highlighted blue. The video presentation near the bottom of the page has instructions for viewing in HD near the link. Below is my rebuttal and additional evidence. These quotes posted above by Umar are what greatjob would call cherry picking and do not follow a chronological timeline. - November 22, 2012: Consultation request. - November 23, 2012: Umar replies, “From the photos you have sent, I recommend 3000 grafts ( Head and nape derived) for your restoration. This is a 2 consecutive weekday procedure at the cost of $8 per graft.” - November 23, 2012: I reply, “What are the realistic expectations for this procedure.” - November 26, 2012: Umar replies, “3000 grafts would advance your hairline and fill in as well as bolster density in the frontal scalp.” (quoted by Umar above). - November 27, 2012: Umar replies, “With 1800 grafts we would restore your hairline conservatively and blend it into your frontal scalp (quoted by Umar above). With 3000 grafts, the hairline would be a tad more aggressive than te aforementioned and we would also augment the density of the frontal scalp.” As you can see there was no mention of non-surgical remedies, 3000 grafts was Umars recommendation, he did not complete his own recommendation, he did not mention the possibility of multiple procedures, he did not mention the option for 1800 grafts until later, he gave two ambiguous descriptions of what an aggressive hairline was; the final description just being a tad more aggressive with greater frontal scalp density. I then explained to HG that the hairline he drew was too low. After wiping off that line, I took the marking pencil and drew what I thought was an appropriate hairline, in light of HG’s expressed goals. I photographed that hairline. This hairline met with his approval. Again, HG was awake, and of clear mind, there was no sedating medication in his system. Above is a page from my medical record. As I have stated before I had never seen Dr. Umar in person or spoken with him until I had been prepped by his staff and was waiting in the operating room. My international flight from Asia (Usually I was working in the Middle East) where I had been on business arrived at 10 AM and as soon as I got my bags I took a taxi to the clinic and showed up with my bags without checking into my hotel. I was not late, as some people have claimed. The patient coordinator and Umar were well aware of the schedule change and had approved it prior to my flight. (It should be noted I was coming from a time zone 14 hours ahead of Los Angeles time). A nurse or whom I believe to have been a nurse gave me the cup full of pills and instructed me to take them as I changed out of my clothes. I asked her what the pills were and she said just some antibiotics and things to help you relax. Things to help you relax were diazepam, and codeine. Diphenhydramine, Lorazepam, Midazolam, Butorphanol were injected shortly upon entering the operating room as you can see from my medical record. What is Butorphanol? It is a schedule 4 controlled substance (opioid) used to relieve pain. The U.S. National Library of Medicine / National Institute of Health states, “Butorphanol injection is also used to relieve pain during labor and to prevent pain and decrease awareness before or during surgery.” Butorphanol Injection: MedlinePlus Drug Information What is Midazolam? Is a schedule 4 controlled substance (Benzodiazepine). The U.S. National Library of Medicine / National Institute of Health states, “Midazolam is given to children before medical procedures or before anesthesia for surgery to cause drowsiness, relieve anxiety, and prevent any memory of the event.” Symptoms of overdose may include: drowsiness, confusion, problems with balance and movement, slowed breathing and heartbeat, loss of consciousness. Midazolam: MedlinePlus Drug Information The Mayo clinic states, “Midazolam is used to produce sleepiness or drowsiness and to relieve anxiety before surgery or certain procedures. Midazolam is also given to produce amnesia (loss of memory) so that the patient will not remember any discomfort or undesirable effects that may occur after a surgery or procedure.” Midazolam (Injection Route) - MayoClinic.com What are Diazepam and Lorazepam? Are schedule 4 controlled substances (Benzodiazepine). The U.S. National Library of Medicine / National Institute of Health states, “Diazepam is used to relieve anxiety, muscle spasms, and seizures and to control agitation caused by alcohol withdrawal.” “Side effects are: drowsiness, dizziness, tiredness, weakness, dry mouth, diarrhea, nausea, changes in appetite, restlessness or excitement, constipation, difficulty urinating, frequent urination, blurred vision, changes in sex drive or ability.” Diazepam: MedlinePlus Drug Information Lorazepam: MedlinePlus Drug Information The DEA states that drugs like Diazepam, Midazolam, and Lorazepam affect the mind in the following ways, “Benzodiazepines are associated with amnesia, hostility, irritability, and vivid or disturbing dreams.” Get Smart About Drugs - Benzodiazepines Diazepam, midazolam, and lorazepam all belong to the same class of medicine Benzodiazepine. Why is this important? The combination of similar drugs could produce or come dangerously close to creating symptoms of overdose. What are some of the symptoms of overdose? Blurred vision, confusion, double vision, drowsiness, tiredness, stupor with the hallmark being falling into a deep sleep while still being able to breath adequately. Diazepam overdose: MedlinePlus Medical Encyclopedia What is Diphenhydramine? It is an antihistamine that can be used for sedating. Pertinent side effects are drowsiness, dizziness, and vision problems. Diphenhydramine as an Alternative Local Anesthetic Agent Diphenhydramine: MedlinePlus Drug Information What is Codeine? Is a schedule 2 controlled substance (Opiate). Pertinent symptoms and side effects include: dizziness, drowsiness, lightheadedness, and changes in vision. Diphenhydramine: MedlinePlus Drug Information What is Triazolam? Is a schedule 4 controlled substance Benzodiazepine. The U.S. National Library of Medicine / National Institute of Health states, “You will probably become very sleepy soon after you take triazolam and will remain sleepy for some time after you take the medication. Plan to go to bed right after you take triazolam and to stay in bed for 7 to 8 hours. Do not take triazolam if you will be unable to remain asleep for 7 to 8 hours after taking the medication. If you get up too soon after taking triazolam, you may experience memory problems.” Pertinent symptoms and side effects: drowsiness, dizziness, and lightheadedness. Signs of overdose include but not limited to the following: extreme drowsiness, confusion, and loss of consciousness for a period of time. Triazolam: MedlinePlus Drug Information 7 different drugs were administered that are controlled substances within a matter of minutes. I do not recall drawing the hairline from the aforementioned picture where it is. My memory is drawing it at my hairline. This statement has been consistent. I described in detail my limited interactions with Umar in the operating room, and that I had felt the effects of the medications very quickly. The abundance of medications used on someone coming from a different time zone, a direct international flight, and only having had breakfast, and a cookie from the patient coordinators desk are additional stressors that can exacerbate the effects of such a plethora of medication. Not to mention the subjective affects of medications and their interactions with each other and a persons individual chemistry. Dr. Umar and I did not discuss the placement of the hairline in the operating room as he claims above. He introduced himself, which was the same time the effects of the medications began to quickly set in. He asked me to draw a hairline, he said I was not much of an artist, and asked me to lean my head back, and he began to draw. I have no recollection of anything after that point. That is what I have said all along. I have no memory and was utterly cognitively impaired by medications whenever the later photos Umar posted must have been taken. Medication was administered prior to Umars arrival and introduction mentioned previously. Therefore, the first sentence above cannot be true and sets a precedence of false claims made by Umar. He mentions that staff only practice within their scope. What is a nurse’s scope? The U.S. Department of Labor states that nurse’s are within their scope to provide and administer medication amongst other duties. Registered Nurses : Occupational Outlook Handbook : U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Furthermore, the state of California, Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Registered Nursing states, “It is within the scope of practice of registered nurses to administer medications for the purpose of induction of conscious sedation for short-term therapeutic, diagnostic or surgical procedures.” http://www.rn.ca.gov/pdfs/regulations/npr-b-06.pdf So what does this all mean? If medication was administered before Umar saw me by his staff or at his direction to his staff prior to seeing me and assessing my condition as he claims he did, then his claim above is false. Since nurses are within their scope to administer medication as is stated by the empirically cited evidence then my claims at a minimum show reasonable doubt and maximum a willful false claim by Dr. Umar. However, in this case it is the latter. Dr. Umar did not inform me as to how the surgery would be done. Therefore, I had no way of knowing what areas would be done first, nor was I informed that there could be modifications during. Furthermore, he uses two contradictory statements above. First he states that grafts were not placed until the second day, then he says only the frontal scalp was done the first day. The inconsistency of these statements is evidence of umar contradicting his testimony above, and this inconsistency of facts and quoting out of context should indicate to the reader to the false nature of his statements. Contrast, where I am making the same claim I have always made of remembering the initial interactions in the operating room up until the point where Dr. Umar had me lean my head back, drew his hairline, and everything after that until I woke up that evening. Therefore, your claim above is absurd because it does not contrast anything. It is consistent with my story, and Umar has provided additional evidence on my part corroborating my testimony. The picture he has I have repeatedly stated I have no memory of being taken. Being under the influence of 7 different opiates and benzodiazepines can severely affect a person’s cognition. The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) states, “A large number of benzodiazepines have been studied for use as sedatives and for their anxiolytic potential as premedicants for outpatient surgery. Potent, new, orally-administered drugs with short half-lives, rapid onset, and minimal residual effects have been developed. Dose-dependent amnesia is also produced by some of these agents. Advances in understanding receptor physiology have shed light on specific pharmacologic activities and aided the discovery of benzodiazepine antagonists with antidote properties. While these drugs have relatively low toxicity, dose-related oversedation remains a risk in susceptible patients, especially when combined with other sedatives. So the claim of over sedation, plausibility of amnesia, and evidence of cognitive impairment are once again correlated by empirical evidence not mere heresay. Dr. Umar seems adept at trying to cover himself legally with the abundance of medications, photos, paperwork, and advocates he has marketing for him. I cannot and do not deny the existence of said photo, how could I, what I do claim is that I was severely cognitively impaired, no recollection of events past a certain point, no memory of agreeing to umars design, or of photos taken. I do know for a fact that I leaned my head back and laid down for Umar to start drawing and closed my eyes, which is the last thing I remember from that day until I woke up that evening still under the influence of medications. My first thought when I was first able to see my hairline was that it was too low. I have previously stated that I just hoped for the best and took the advice to wait and be patient as everything developed. As things developed that is when the evolution of the gravity of the egregious work, and the deficits of consent and consultation became more apparent. Again, this is a consistent statement I have made. The reason I did not come to his office is because I reside on the East Coast. Why would anyone after what I have been through trust or spend anymore money to fly across the country to have a conversation. September 2, 2013, I began to receive harrassing emails from Umar asking me if I had posted negative reviews. September 5, 2013, Dr. Umar says, “I am no longer responsible for your care.” September 14, 2013 Mr.______:

You have publicly stated, on an internet website, that you were sedated and not aware of what was going on at the time we talked about the placement of your hairline. The truth is you were not sedated, you were fully awake and lucid during the pre-surgery discussion of your hairline.

I am requesting, pursuant to the laws of the State of California, that you publicly retract this false, malicious and defamatory statement.

Sincerely, S. Umar, MD “It can be reasonable construed from the email from September 14, 2013, that dr. Umar sent this message in an attempt to scare me from posting publicly. However, the United States and California Constitutions grant every person petition and free speech rights to participate in government and civic affairs, speak freely on public issues and issues of public interest, and petition government officials for redress of grievances. Yet, every year, thousands of individuals, community groups, and organizations are sued for exercising these constitutional rights. These suits are known as “SLAPPs” — Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation. Therefore, posting reviews on the internet are protected under this law and its statutes.” Why would Dr. Umar want to file a SLAPP suit against me? It’s simple, while most SLAPPs are meritless they take up considerable time and money. The underlying message is that if you speak up I will sue you. Therefore, his claim of being courteous and respectable is false. Attached below you will see the photo with a measuring tape placed appropriately on my forehead and secured to the surface with tape. It clearly shows the hairline as being 5 cm, 5.2 cm to 5.5 to be exact. Those things on my forhead are called wrinkles. They are always there, and not from furrowing my brows. There are obvious multi-hair grafts in the front and temple points of the hairline. They have remained that way since inception, and even increased in caliber. Furthermore, the lasered hair grew back within a matter of weeks and the caliber and multi hair grafts remained intact. The attached link below will take you to a video of my latest repair with photos and live video that show the multi hair grafts being extracted and the grafts counted the moment they come out. For optimal quality you should click the cogwheel in the lower right corner of the video and select 720p to watch the video in HD so that you can see the 2, 3, 4, and 5 hair grafts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTUVYy2hhlQ Umar was intentionally ambiguous regarding the nature of those diagnoses because it created speculation. It also was blatant character assassination meant to attack my credibility rather than engage in the discussion. Initially I granted him full authorization except mental health because he is not my mental health practitioner. However, since he would not respond without being able to make his comments about mental health, which are outside of his scope, I relented so that this discussion could transpire. However, September 5, 2013, Dr. Umar stated, “I am no longer responsible for your care.” He revealed then revealed my mental health information publically September 20, 2013. What he did not do was contact my psychologist to get approval which is required pursuant Cal. Welf. & Inst. Code §5328(b). Therefore, Dr. Umar has violated HIPAA law. For those of you who are adept at what a logical fallacies is the mere fact of releasing this information qualifies as an ad hominem logical fallacy attack. What I told umar was that the situation with my hair was an additional stressor, and I have stated I was having a bad day due to my friend who died in Fallujah being remembered. The depression is due to my appearance and the ptsd is from combat situations. I did ask that physician to contact him. I also gave Umar the repair physicians contact information several times, and he did not ever contact him. Umar could have just as easily called or emailed that physician instead of not picking up the phone or typing an email. Lastly, no amount of hair growth would ever significantly resolve the hairline that is too low, too straight, which consent and design collaboration was supposedly garnered while under the influence of 7 controlled substances administered by Umars staff. The entirety of the situation constitutes negligence and medical battery. Case precedence has been set in California previously regarding the use of medication and consents obtained whether written or verbal after medications were administered. The State of California has ruled and set precedence stating that physicians and cases of this nature are not subject to MICRA because these cases are not considered medical malpractice. Therefore, any and all arbitration or other agreements are null and void. Over the course of this post you have seen a consistent revelation of the false nature of Dr. Umars claims, and true character. While much of this matter will be settled in the court the objectivity of community members and the access to this case provide invaluable information. This post was volunteered on good faith to serve a specific purpose of talking to relevant people about my experience. I felt it was my duty to communicate to all of you with corresponding duties and interests. Of course, there will be always critics. Wylie, Heliboy, Atticus / Abner to name a few. As close as I can ascertain atticus posts on every site for umar giving reviews and testimony. Heliboy, is unwilling to post high quality photos of his hair nor is he willing to tell people or show proof of what he paid for multiple surgeries from Umar totaling 19,500 grafts with an estimated price tag of 150k+. What is evident from heliboy is he has something to hide. Wylie I don’t have much to say about other than we don’t agree on much.
  2. I will be posting new photos and video soon. Additionally, I will be responding directly to Dr. Umars responses in detail to provide the information that refutes his claims. Heliboy, has side-stepped the question and is unwilling to produce high quality digital photos of his hairline because he does not want his results to be scrutinized or risk the possibility of finding fault. I will be posting a undeniable photo of my hairline measurement asap. Furthermore, how much did you pay for Dr. Umars work? You had 19,500 grafts how much did that cost? If you are satisfied with your results and have put hair loss behind you providing the requested photos and final costs should not be an issue. I am not getting talking points from anyone. You should look forward to my new photos. I know we all want to see photos from you so we can see what excellent work you say you have had. You say Dr. Umar saved you, where is the evidence? I post evidence, where is yours to substantiate your credibility. Show us, and not in some far away photos. Let's see the up close hd after photos of what multiple procedures of umars can do. Blackamish, I am not trying to convince anyone. I am merely showing the flaws of logic, discrepancies, and hypocrisy of some people who have posted here. As you can see they are not willing to expose themselves to any scrutiny because they know they will be unable to withstand it.
  3. California, I am sure Heliboy cannot back up that false claim he made towards fueonly. As someone participating on this thread I was never under the impression that fueonly worked for the doctor you represent. There have been a lot of bullies on here looking to intimidate people as is evidenced by the exchanges from heliboy directed at fueonly. I would also give fueonly a break as english is a level 4 language in the same category as mandarin and arabic, so just the mere fact that he is participating even if with translating should be commended. I would also question heliboy regarding the context of how or why he represents Dr. Umar online since he made such outlandish and baseless accusations about fueonly. - Heliboy, has Dr. Umar ever compensated you in any way? - Has he cut you deals or given you free work in exchange for online representation? - Dr. Umar charges 8 usd per graft. So did you pay the 156,000 + usd for your 19,500 grafts that he advertises you had on his website? - Do you have any up-close high resolution pictures of your hairline if so feel free to post what you claim to be excellent work for us all to critic and validate your honesty and integrity, because the after pictures here don't look that great. You even have this red pinkish tone all over your scalp. - When were the after photos below taken? - Why is your scalp so red? Your scalp colorization is drastically different in your before and afters photos; it seems similar to my photo below.
  4. Greatjob, you point is moot. Even this picture blatantly shows the use of multiple hair grafts in the front of the hairline, which is unacceptable.. Your response is also riddled with logical fallacies, and in another thread you posted the attached quote regarding your hair transplant from Dr. Rahal. However, on here you pass harsh judgment for my corrective actions at the 6 month and beyond mark. More updates to follow.
  5. In response to the validity of whether or not 2,3,4,or 5 hair grafts were used in the hairline here is a photo.
  6. Greatjob, feelings and facts are two different things. Those photos I stated were pre-corrective work are prior to laser or graft extraction. The graft hair caliber was different than the natural hair, and I have fair skin so shaving my head with clippers can exacerbate my skin tone. Especially when there is already residual redness that still persists to this day. You are free to believe what you want even if it is wrong. Hellboy, no amount of information or explanation on my part will ever convince you that Dr. Umar could ever make an error since you had such a great experience. Anything I write is scrutinized beyond norms, whereas, Dr. Umar can state in his responses that I had not been given any medications at the time of consult even though it is a documented fact that his nurse administered all the oral meds prior to our meeting in the OR, which makes his statement a lie, but I digress. Therefore, I feel no need to continue this charade with someone who's mind is already made up.
  7. @ shampoo, medication was given. I also find it disconcerting that as my story that has not changed, but has been given in increasing detail as this thread evolved is construed as contradictions by some posters. The addition of more details does not constitute contradictions. @greatjob, If you read through the entire forum from start to finish you will be able to ascertain which photos are post repair and which are prior. Your first and second of four photos are prior to any corrective work. Yes, the first photo shows the frontal area cut short, but no work had been performed as I stated previously. Also the second photo is prior to any repair work, but yes I had shaved my entire head to a one or two. The third photo shows where the lasered grafts that were in telogen and working there way out had been removed, and the measurements had been taken. Finally, the fourth photo is post laser, and pre-telogen graft removal. These are the same statements I made previously. I think some posters see ghosts and look for anything they can turn into a discrepancy to fit their preconceived notions of what they want to believe. @shampoo, I don’t do recreational drugs as I am required to maintain a security clearance, and am subject to monthly drug (prescription and illegal), and steroid tests. @ Curious, I did not have a watch on so I do not know what time it was. All I can say as I have said before is I have no recollection of anything after being asked to lean my head back. That is why I said I passed out because I believe I did. Whether this was due to passing out, amnesia, or whatever I have no idea. Any inconsistency from my statements that some say are contradictions are projections from individuals. I am sure that everyone here has drank alcohol at sometime in their life, and probably have drank so much that they blacked out before. While some who is blackout drunk appears conscious and has their eyes open you would consider that person to be impaired. This condition can happen under the influence of medications too. People who have taken ambien have known to appear as conscious and awake, but actually be asleep while they are doing things. Therefore, it my claims are perfectly reasonable, and at the minimum present a case of reasonable doubt as to the counter claims of the physician. Dr. Umar seems to be very adept at covering for himself. His pictures are a sly legal way to bolster his legal protection. @ Davis91, I did consult other doctors for quotes. Dr. Umar was not the only physician I consulted with. The other two physicians recommended 1800 grafts. I had ultimately chosen Dr. Umars recommended 3000 graft procedure which was actually 2350 because absent pre-design details of what was actually going to be designed I believe the additional grafts would give me a better result. Obviously, I was wrong Next week I will post some more photos after my second repair procedure. I will specifically showcase the use of multi hair grafts in the frontal hairline. If someone here would be kind enough to send me a message as to how greatjob posted the photos in the forum so I can post them directly here instead of on my profile I would appreciate that.

  10. @black amish, I responded to your question as use of diazepam has been linked to amnesia. Is it possible that I suffered from amnesia due to medications used. Yes, but that would still constitute being impaired even if I was amnesiac and then fully unconscious, as opposed to fully unconscious from the point of being asked to lean my head back. Both would still constitute impairment and an inability to consent. Mickey85, I will update my profile with high resolution photos of the hairline multi-hair grafts in the next coming weeks.
  11. Dr. Umar’s response is again a product of spin. He met me in the operating room after having been given the following medications by his staff (document posted to my profile). I have attached the medical record. There was no mention at the time of election of what would constitute an aggressive hairline in my case. I felt the effects of the medications well before the little talking that transpired in the operating room. He did not explain that whatever was drawn by me was too low because I have no memory after leaning my head back as I have stated before. I have never stated that I had no memory of the entire event. I clearly stated that I felt the effects of the medication and their escalation in the beginning. I also clearly stated the initial events up until I was asked to lean my head back as the last thing that I remember. The doctor has again taken my words out of context and paraphrased to fit his narrative. In addition, Diazepam has been shown to cause amnesia. Therefore, it is more than plausible that during this initial time frame that amnesia may have occurred. Duration of amnesia during sedation with diazepa... [J Oral Surg. 1975] - PubMed - NCBI “Before any medication was given to HG, I assessed his condition.” I am sorry because this is not true. The nurse, tech, or whatever her title is gave me medication prior to the operating room, where Dr. Umar eventually showed up. Therefore, this is an intentional false statement, as are Dr. Umars false claims about what I have stated as what I have memory of; what is absurd is the gaps in the physicians paraphrasing. The doctor claims to have been courteous and respectfully, but that is not the case. I also find it interesting that shortly after repeatedly contacting me to try to get me to disclose if I was such and such username on realself.com that the 7 five star reviews and 1 one star review had 7 more five star reviews added, one of which is from atticus under the name abner. Here are the facts: Medications were given prior to any hairline consultations. I have no memory of events after being instructed to lean my head back, and I have never said anything different. I tried to keep a positive mental attitude to wait out and see how the too low and straight hairline would grow in hopes that the result would still be positive. I explained why I did not wait. My story minus small details that have been addressed has not changed. Dr. Umars story has fluctuated throughout this whole process, and contain false information. My mental heatlh information was used to portray me in a false light to attack my credibility and induce speculation by the reader. Luckily, my attorney is also an MD so I look forward to the litigation of this matter. I agree that this thread has run its course as all parties and commenters have had time to post and reply. It should remain searchable and readable because it contains information from all sides. In the near future I will post more up-close multi-hair graft photos to my profile.
  12. I just want to go on the record and state that I do not work for any physician. I am not compensated by any medical entities, and I was not sent here to state my case here as part of a squabble between two doctors. I engaged this conversation in good faith to provide the specific purpose of telling my story to knowledgeable people in the community. I felt due the the circumstances of my case I had a duty to inform people so that they would access to more balanced experiences. Peacebuddy, I have learned al lot through this experience; too numerous to write here. I think people like spencer k present a more accurate depiction of the industry because there are bad and good information people need access to sources. I was not confident to proceed with second doctor, but after researching and consulting repeatedly it became the best option, and the doctor and staff actually took measurements, hair samples, and the overall vibe was right. I am sure the feeling I had there was the feeling heliboy had when he had umar, we are just polar opposites of similar stories. Medication, and surgical design timing must be reformed.
  13. Wylie, the microscopic photos give you an upclose look at the fron the hairline where you can see the use of multi-hair grafts in the direct front of the hairline. There is an abundance of 2 and 3 hair grafts in the very front of the hairline.
  14. Heliboy, eyebrows to hairline is the measurement. Wylie, there is an abundance of 2, 3, and other multi hair grafts present in the direct front of the hairline as Blake and others have seen from the photos. Atticus/ Abner, your link does not work, please re-submit. I am not here to advocate for the guy in Atlanta. any experience with a ht surgeon is going to be subjective, and there will always be mistakes made by physicians because they are human. If you want to point out his or any other surgeons negative reviews or complaints feel free to do so. I think everyones negative reviews, errors, and complaints should be made public so that people can make actually informed decisions about physicians instead of the slighted marketing of only good results. What does not change is the misuse or medications, lack of consent in the O.R., and presentation of someones mental health records to present them in a false light. The medical staff were informed that my re-scheduled flight would arrive at 10am, and I made no deviations from the airport enroute to the clinic. The idea that I was late is erroneous as it is common knowledge that there would be additional time needed for baggage collection and transportation. Any error in arrival expectation, ie thinking I would be there at 10 am would be a error that lies with the medical staff and clinic, and should be subject to a review of intellectual capacity. I believe the use of mutli-hair grafts may have been a pre-meditated decision to try to make up for what was supposed to have been a 3000 grafts procedure in an attempt to have a 2350 graft procedure cover the same area in less time. If true this would have been a negligent decision as the aesthetics are not pleasing or natural. The three of you are obvious Umar fans, and I know for a fact that two of your are plastered all over his website somewhere. You all believe that this doctor can do no wrong, which is impossible because he is human. Does or has Dr. Umar ever compensated you in any manner not including money to advocate or post for him online, ie free work, etc.? Heliboy, didn't you have previous surgeries elsewhere before Umar? How do you feel about that surgeon and experience? Sufficient evidence has been provided, and those with an unbiased open mind have at a minimum concluded that reasonable doubt exists as to the validity of Dr. Umars narrative. Nothing anyone says or does on this forum is going to change the mind of the three amigos above and that's fine. This case was presented in good faith to allow people to come to their own conclusions, not to change the minds of his fans..
  15. Blake, I agree that the use of multi-hair grafts in the hairline bear more investigation as it is said to be archaic work. The use of medications, and surgical design consents from all doctors needs to be reviewed industry-wide. Lastly, you mentioned that the hairline or forehead length looks different in the first pictures and some of the others. I assure you it must be something to do with the photography because the measurement of 5cm was and is the same throughout. Thanks
  16. Mickey85, you are correct that the selected multi-hair grafts are an example of poor work. With the state of this industry today there is no excuse for poor work like this. If you would like I can post a name redacted page from my medical record that shows the medications I transcribed here from my record previously. I think a lot of people came to this thread with their minds already made up. Those who say they have had a positive experience with Dr. Umar cannot be convinced that what has happened occurred, and we are not here to change their minds. However, this posting has been in good faith, and I have cooperated fully with providing the photographic evidence, detailed writing, and authorizations. A formal complaint has been sent to the medical board, and my attorney is handling the rest. I do not recommend Dr. Umar not just based on my case, but also the misuse of controlled substances, lack of final consent, and his overall poor character. However, some people have no issues with him, and that is their right, I fought for it, and I respect it, even if I don't agree with it.
  17. In the 6 months photos there had been no laser or extraction work at that time. The redness that is present is still there. I understand that this is unusual, however, in my case while redness faded a little it has never fully gone away.
  18. @ shampoo,The genetic fallacy is committed when an idea is either accepted or rejected because of its source, rather than its merit.
  19. If Dr. Umar wants to talk about mental illnesses even though he should have said depression and not ptsd. To do otherwise may be interpreted as false light. Someone asked why I had mentioned ptsd and depression at all.
