  1. So heres my HT with Dr Dermirsoy.

Im not going to do a detailed write up, as i cant describe it better than Jim, in this thread-

    http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/173669-fue-dr-erkan-demirsoy-2500-grafts-11th-february-2014-a-post2381998.html#post2381998

    I had 3360 grafts, mostly 2s and 3s apparently.

I wanted to keep a mature receeded hairline, as i had this hairline 10 years ago, but without any thinning. I would love to have that again.

Currently 5 days out. All healing well it seems, all scabbed up. Some pain in donor area though. Sort of dull burning ache. But i have just had 3000 bits of flesh removed from my head...

Anyways here is some pics. Click on them for larger HQ image.

  2. Thought i may aswell bump this thread instead of starting a new one..

Im 4 days post FUE and since yesterday im having pain in donor area. Not as terrible as some here (maybe 4 out of 10) But its uncomfortable. All scabs are healing and looks real tidy, but i have a dull tingling pain, mixed with what feels like bad bruising over certain spots of the back of my head.

Similar pain to having a really angry spot that you just banged accidentally.

Also loss of sensitivity, slight numb and tingly.

Im sure its from all that anisthetic. I concur that its worse in afternoon/evening.

  4. Jim - i was going to write a report on my visit to Dr Demirsoy on Thursday, but i may aswell just copy and paste what you have written :)

Anyone thinking of going to this clinic needs to read this, as i think its 100% accurate description.

Everything from the weird feeling of the punch to the reassuringly expensive camera. (And i know what you mean about the lying still being the worst part of the day. But try doing that with a cold, i had to keep getting up to blow my nose. Nightmare)

I wasn't brave enough to go commando at the airport, and i wasnt happy about putting a hat near my head, so i wore a headband with a bandana. Thankfully the security didnt ask me to remove it.

Did Muzzafer show you the results of that blonde German guy? He had hair like yours and got a great result.

One thing that does concern me, is the shortage of 'great examples' on their records. Maybe people just dont stay in touch 8 months down the line, but they only had about 6 cases to show me. Most of them id seen online anyway.

You'd think with the hundreds of patients a year they have, there would be more.. Bit late now, but it does bug me a bit.

Dont let that put anyone off though, its all very professional.

I think the 2 nurses deserve a mention. They were great, and its nice to know they are a permanent fixture.

Muzzafer was great to, always answering emails quickly and even offering to bring parecetomols to the hotel, when he heard i had a cold.

One question though, why do you think wearing a headband at home would have helped? Its my understanding that you need to let the fluid drain down your head and escape.

At the moment my swelling (2days post op) is down to my ears and im managing to massage to behind them, so much so my ears are sticking out. I look at bit like Sloth from the Goonies.

So do you think this caused all you pain and bruising?

  5. This is one of my biggest concerns for HTs. I dont know if its because im looking for it, but alot of the results i see have a slightly unnatural looking hairline. Not so much in the shape, but because the hairs seem too thick at the front.

Im going to make clear to my doc that i want single, thin hairs at the front. (surely the ones from the nape of the neck would be ideal?)

I wonder if people who arent aware of the HT, will notice this?

  6. i was on pill everyday for about 4 months. Massive loss of libido, so i went to eod and recently half a pill eod. It certainly help with the libido problem.

Dont need any fancy pill cutters, i just put the pill in cling film and gently cut it in half with a good knife. Normally get a nice cut.

Im off it now though, as Dr Demirsoy asks you to stop Propecia etc a few weeks before HT.

Not sure if i will go back on it tho..

  7. As stated - a young guy with a pretty good head of hair should not have been touched yet.

Being a 'Coalition' surgeon means very little in my opinion.

I urge people to base there decision on case records and other users word of mouth.

Too much emphasis put on the coalition. What exaclty are the requirements to become one?
