  1. Whats up fella's I'm from Chicago ( GO BLACKHAWKS! UNBELIEVABLE 2 million people showed up for the parade, more than the jordan 90's era BUlls ever got) and am considering a hair transplant. I am fourty years old and have included some pictures in my profile. Maybe I am not ready to take the plunge. As I've stated before I have an extremely tight scalp and small head and do not want to risk- even if the chances are very slim- having permanent scalp numbness, tightness, or stretched scar. I play hockey alot and rollerblade and the hockey helmet would sit right on the suture line. Even after it healed the helmet still would put pressure right along the donor area and I do not plan to quit playing hockey. I was told I need 3000 grafts and my Doctor said FUT was the way to go. I've heard from others that FUE is just old wine in a new bottle? But I think for somebody that does not want to compromise they're scalp maybe FUE is better for me. Just wondering how much 3000 grafts via FUE would cost if I went to a FUE doc in the states. Anybody know of any top FUE DOCs near Chicago? I know no Doctor can promise a small scar, or not the complication of nerve damage from happening. Thats why you have consent forms. So I am thinking FUE is the way to go. I'd rather compromise a small transection rate from FUE than have the possible complications that might happen with FUT. I've been researching for years, and have cancelled three times my hair transplant months before I was supposed to have it done. As I said maybe I am not ready, and I'd rather not have a lifetime of numbness, tightness, or stretched scar. Actually I'd rather be bald than have those problems. Any input would help brothers.... Also, has anyone gotten FUE by Dr Konior, or is there anyplace I can find pictures of FUE results from him? He is a really good surgeon and I am sure he does everything very well.

  2. ANYBODY HAVE FUE WITH DR KONIOR? I KNOW HE DOES STRIP AND IS ONE OF THE TOP GUYS IN MY OPINION. A DOCTOR OF HIS CALIBER COULD EASILY MASTER FUE SO I WAS WONDERING IF ANYBODY HAS GOTTEN FUE BY DR KONIOR. I KNOW HE OFFERS IT. THANKS GUYS ENJOY THE REST OF THIS SUMMER. I LIVE IN CHICAGO AND TODAY ITS ABOUT 104. Was rollerblading playing hockey but did not want to get heat stroke so I think I'll take it easy. Trying to play as much hockey as possible before surgery. I am going to take a few months off playing. The helmet would sit right on the suture line, and that could cause the scar to stretch. Investment like this makes me realize that I should do everything in my power to make sure I get the best outcome. Its not only what the Dr does that counts, the patient really is a big part of the final outcome. So I want to do everything by the book. Your thoughts and opinion would be greatly appreciated. Sorry about my lack of computer skills. I learned to write on a typewriter in High School back in the 80's.

  3. I have a very small head, and a tight scalp. My hair is thinning all over, yet I can conceal it with toppik. Would like to get FUE, not because I don't think FUT is good, It is very good, however I do not want to risk permanent scalp numbness or tightness of scalp. Do not know what I should do. I live in Chicago and do not know if there are any top FUE docs. Does Dr. Konior do Fue?
