  1. Hey Guys,

Thank you very much for your valuable comments. As couple of you have guessed, since I was in hurry to get a HT done, I took the plunge and went ahead with Dr Bhatti seeing his reputation and results on this forum.

Keeping my fingers crossed for a good growth. You may check out my pre/post surgery pics here.

  2. I have got 726 beard hair taken out to fill in the scalp for my FUE procedure. Here is a picture of my beard donor area - http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/171136-my-hair-transplant-experience-3180-grafts-dr-bhatti.html

checkout the last image in Post Surgery Pics - Day 3. Its day 3 and donor beard area still looks bad. Any suggestions on how to make it heal faster and not leave a scar ?

Doctor gave me some ointment and aloe vera cream to apply on my scalp donor area but nothing for the beard. He assured me that beard donor area will heal very fast without the need to apply anything and would also not leave any scar.

However I am a little concerned on any potential scarring, so any suggestions to avoid the scar are most welcome.

    Thank you very much.

  3. Good coverage!! Rest up and grow well!!

Thanks hairshopeing, How do you find the hairline ? Do you think it should have been lowered a bit ?

I wanted to mimic my original hairline but Doctor advised me not to do so firstly because I had very limited fine donor hairs and secondly because he follows some 1/3rd rule.

Since I trust him, I left it all on him to decide what's best.

  4. Hey Guys,

I'm 29 years old, and have been losing my hair since I was 22. I really wanted to get some hair back after losing it at such a young age. I did not do an extensive research on HT, just saw a few cases (eg johnny24, GaelicDawn) of Dr Bhatti and decided to meet him for in person consultation.

I met DR Bhatti first on 12/06/13. Details of consultation report are mentioned here http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/171046-considering-dr-bhatti-4500-fue.html

    HT Procedure - 20/06/13

A total of 3180 grafts were implanted with following breakup.

    2456 scalp grafts

    726 beard grafts

Further breakup of grafts from scalp

    Singles- 318

    Doubles- 1227

    Triples-911

I will write in detail about my experience on procedure, for now just some pics. Please post your candid review comments. Thank you very much.

  5. Hi Mickey,

Thank you very much for your valuable comment. I don't know If I am going on a wrong path because I just made the advance payment for booking my surgery date with Dr Bhatti. I am undergoing HT on 20th June.

I agree with you that my donor hair is not thick and that has started to worry me a lot. I just hope that all my hard earned money doesn't go down the drain.

Any suggestions on how should I plan to use the 3000 scalp grafts and 600 beard grafts for the first session ?

Should I go for a coverage on entire bald region keeping more density on frontal region and less on crown to back. Second session of 900 grafts can then be used for filling in the gaps over entire transplanted area to increase density.

    OR

Should I go for a dense coverage on frontal region ( hairline to mid scalp) and leave the crown untouched for next session ( 900 grafts from chest)

How good my case looks as compared to that of johnny24 & GaelicDawn ? I see that both of them have got a good result with Dr Bhatti for >4000 grafts

    4346 grafts - GaelicDawn

  6. Hello All,

By reading all the valuable experiences and suggestions of other members, I decided on HT and booked my appointment with Dr.Bhatti on 19 & 20 July. Will be travelling to India/Chandigarh to undergo the treatment, which is a 2 day procedure.

According to the initial assessment by Dr Bhatti by looking at the pics that I sent him his comments are :

"You shall need around 4500 FUE grafts and since we may be able to harvest just 3000-3500 grafts from the scalp other donor sites like beard and chest need to be assessed.

Please send me pictures of the underside of chin and ches".

Subsequently I sent the pics as requested by him and again this is what he said :

"We will be able to take around 800-1000 grafts from the beard and chest areas. It would be best if you could come for a consultation first so I can give you a realistic picture of the possibilities.".

As I am going to India on a holiday during 2nd week if July and having decided to get HT done, I thought of utilizing my holiday with HT and confirmed it with Dr.Bhatti... Based on his preliminary assessment by looking at the pics that I sent him i am looking at to have 4200 grafts on an average (Scalp+BHT) and more will be welcome.

    Hope all goes well

    Will keep posting...the progress

Hi Mate, it seems our cases are very similar. I am booked for a single day session(3600 grafts) with Dr Bhatti on 20th June. Post 6 months I am supposed to have another session for remaining 900 grafts. Will keep you posted on the out come.

  7. Madhu is a strip doctor but not professional in FUE method. I would strongly recommend Bhatti for FUE. Follow this patient results before making a final decision:-

    Hi Hariri,

Thanks for the link. I am impressed with Dr Bhatti results and seriously considering him for my HT;however, I have few questions on my report.

600 grafts from beard - Isn't that too much for beard ?

What do you think on the donor area from the back of my scalp ?

  8.

Prior to the procedure, I had a chance to sit down and discuss my hairline. As many of you, I wanted to not only cover all of the bolding and the receding hairline, but also lower it a bit. Thus, as the doctor drew what he felt was a natural hairline given my ethnicity and physical features, I quickly grabbed the marker and drew one of my own. He smiled and despite my extensive and arguably logical explanations for my drawing, proceeded to explain not only the technical aspects of a hair line, but also the importance of having a “natural look” that you could always “touch up” as opposed to an artificial appearance that is not only very hard to correct, but will solicit unwanted inquiries.

I recently had a consultation with Dr Bhatti and I am considering him for a 4500 FUE grafts. However, I am not very happy with the hairline he drew for me. My natural hair line is good 2 cm below than the hairline he drew for me.

Is it recommended to have your transplanted hairline go above the natural hair line. Shouldn't we just keep it as low as the natural hairline is ?

  9. Dr Bhatti is saying you only have 3000 FUE available from your scalp? Sounds very low for a virgin scalp. Have you been evaluated by other HT surgeons?

Not in person but yes, over the email, I have sent my pictures to Dr Madhu and he said that my donor hair density is not very good and that having a HT might not give me satisfactory result.

On the same line Dr Bhatti also said(in person visit) that Donor density is weak so maximum we can take out is 3000 grafts. and rest 1500 would have to come from the body.

  10. Hi Guys,

I am considering a HT with Dr Tejinder Bhatti, Chandigarh, India. Though I have been a long hair loss sufferer (7+ years), I have a little knowledge on HT. Can you please advice me on things to consider and questions to ask before I take the plunge?

Below is the snippet from Doctors consultation report. I am NW 5.

Shall benefit from 4500 FUE grafts.

    1st Session (1.5 day long)

3000 grafts from Scalp ( maximum that can be taken out at present)

    600 Scalp from beard.

2nd Session ( 6 months after the first session)

Remaining 900 grafts- these could be taken out either from the chest or from the scalp donor area if there has been a development of new donor grafts in six months

As you can see I have thinning all over the scalp, any suggestions on how should I plan to use the limited scalp donor area(3000 grafts as per Doc) ? I was thinking of getting dense coverage on the hairline/front scalp and medium to less density from mid scalp to crown. Is that a good Idea ? is that possible with 3600 grafts in first session ?

    Thank you all.
