Well one of my FUE specialists said there's no problem at all and that it's not gonna harm the final result. However, I wanted to know second opinions and personal experiences from some users from this forum.

Hi all! I've done a FUE a bit more than 1 month ago (33 days ago). However, I'd like to know how many months after FUE I'm able to do a Surgery, which involves General Anaesthesia, without damaging the process of hair growth. This surgery has nothing to do with FUE. Basically what I want to know is how many months I need to wait until it's perfectly safe to do it. Thanks!

And doesn't the hair take much longer to fully mature in the crown area? So if that's true how can the 12 months deadline be applied in this case?

I've read that after 12 months the hair improves a lot. Maybe that's the case: most hairs grow up before 12 months and then the improvement is so big until the 18 months mark that the result looks vastly better.

I keep hearing that after 12 months we should have the final result or extremely close to that. Yet I keep hearing and reading many reports of people, including in this forum, that after 12 months most of their hair still is fine and not thick at all, and that there's still many hairs growing out of the scalp. And to be honest that seems to be my case. I've done 2 FUE sessions in 2012 and other 2 FUE sessions in 2013 (4th October). I'm almost reaching the 12 months mark after the last procedure yet there's still a lot of fine hair and many new hairs growing, at least it seems so. My doctor said that after the last procedure the treatment was DONE - "you'll have your entire scalp covered with hair". I have an excellent donor area and I'm (or was) a Norwood 5. However, only part of the 2 sessions from 2013 served to fill my crown which seems to be the most slower area to get covered. By looking at the mirror it's obvious there are thicker hairs then others in the same areas, it seems still a bit random. I've read some articles and many doctors actually claim that 12 months is not the final result, it varies from person to person but only at 18 months or so you get the final result. So why do many doctors keep talking about the 12 months mark? Is it because the people who get their full or almost full result use products which speed up the process? I don't use fast speed products, I only use Havogen-5 bands which serve to help maintaining the not transplanted hair I previously had (which wasn't that much, and that's good in my case since I have a very good donor area). But those Haavogen-5 bands don't speed up the process a lot, my doctor seemed to say they may help a bit, nothing more. So is the 12 months deadline only used when patients take medication to get the final results faster? It seems this keeps misleading many people. :confused::confused::confused:

Why were you worried about possible shock hair loss? The hair should always regrow.

Hello everyone. After we doing a first FUE procedure is it true that in the next FUE procedures our own hair and own previously transplanted hair (from the 1st FUE) can fall? I mean, after the 1st procedure we can experience all the definitive hair falling? If this is true how much time does it take to start regrowing once again? Does it take more or less the same time to regrow as the transplanted hair from the 2nd and next FUEs in the same person?

Such unbelievable incompetence... I'm just shocked. How can this doctor be recommended by anyone at all? Since he has been criticised by many... yet still does this? 1 - it has not enough density 2 - the angles of the new hairs don't match the ones from the native hairs (this is so ridiculous for a professional doctor) 3 - the transplanted hair was all transplanted from the same donor area (FACEPALM!) Fortunely this is easily fixed. So OP don't desperate! But I have to ask to the OP to NOT go to Dr.Diep ever again and to spread the word about his abysmal incompetence. This is totally UNNACCEPTABLE!

Sorry but this is not correct. It depends of the specific case. In many cases, even worse than the one from the OP, less than 4000 grafts was enough to cover all the head with good density.

Attention: FUT does not give more or better density coverage. It depends on the specific case. Most of the times just one session of FUT gives more hair so generally FUE needs more than 1 session to give a similar coverage. But don't confuse with "with FUE it's impossible to have similar or better coverage and density".

Hrm... did you read this thread? I was agreeing with you that it's probably irrelevant to hair loss.

Again, that's irrelevant. I'm just asking if it causes or contributes or not to hair loss. If people want to change or not their habits it's a different issue. I'm just asking if this is a myth or not.

What do you mean? I thought by your and the responses of the others that there already existed scientific proofs this is pure nonsense...

So basicallyu DHT doesn't increase at all and and the androgen T increases only during a very short amount of time then it simply disappears, not having time to do anything harmful at all. Correct?

But doesn't sex and ejaculation cause the increase of the amount of DHTs in our body which are responsible for hair loss?
