  1. Unfortunately, I have to agree that this is MPB and not a mature hairline. Your hair loss reminds me a lot of mine in that you appear to have asymmetric receding...My right corner started receding when I was probably around 17 (may have just been a mature hairline not sure) and the left caught up sometime in my mid to late 20's. Now at 33, I have only lost a fraction more hair and probably a norwood 2.5-3.. Something similar could end up happening to you but it is so unpredictable... Look at your male relatives and it may give you some idea where you are heading.

  2. Hey Ricky! It looks like it's been just about a year since you posted this and I'm curious if you were able to move forward with a hair transplant and find a solution.

I also want to direct you to a brand new study Dr. Mohebi has conducted regarding psoriasis and hair transplants. More research needs to be done, but it appears as though hair transplants may actually help patients who suffer from psoriasis.

Check out the study here if you're interested in reading up on this... And even more importantly, if you did indeed have a hair transplant over the past year, I would love to know if you saw an improvement/healing of your psoriasis in the transplanted areas.

Thanks for posting a link to the study.. very interesting and surprising to read. I have not had a transplant as yet.. I'm probably going to wait until 35... Funnily enough, although I still have some small areas of dryness on my scalp, the psoriasis plaques around my hairline cleared up completely without any treatment around 6 months ago and haven't returned which is great! I do still have it on some other body areas though, albeit quite mild.

  3. Looks very good.

I have had 2 transplant with Saifi & he likes to not use a huge amount of grafts.

The CR Labs programme he recomends has been great for my hair.

Did you have the second one done because the first result was not dense enough? Everything I have seen/read suggests he is a very ethical doctor, but he appears ultra conservative with the number of grafts he uses. Would you recommend him?

  4. Hey Dolph have you seen any further improvement? Your results look pretty solid I think.. Just a bit surprised Dr Saifi only implanted 1600 grafts. Your hair loss is probably slightly more advanced than mine (I am only 33 however), yet, I have been told I need anything from 1800 - 2500 grafts from the numerous doctors I have contacted. Anyway it's been great following your journey and I hope you feel satisfied with your results. Did you contact him about the possibility of a touch up?

  5. Hey Mickhah,

I'm from Dublin and in June I had some treatment with Dr.Saifi. I would highly recommend him. If you have any questions, please feel free to get in contact with me.

How much does Dr Saifi charge per graft? Also, I tried emailing him a couple of times but never got a response to my enquries... What's the best way to contact him? Thanks

  6. I had surgery with Dr. Kongkiat Laorwong almost a year ago. The result was very disappointing. I made a mistake in getting this doctor as I though he was good since he is certified by FISHRS and ABHRS. I can't really do anything except accept my mistake in choosing him and just warn others. I could have gotten a better deal in Turkey except that my girlfriend is Thai and I wanted to visit her and get the surgery at the same time.

Regardless, it is time for me to move on and so for the guys reading this, be very careful.

Sorry to hear about your disappointing results... Are you able to post any before and after pictures? It would be really helpful to others in this forum.

  7. I was also considering Dr. Kongkiat Laorwong not long ago. Overall, his work looks very good but I also thought some of his hairlines looked a bit too aggressive and unnatural. It's also a shame that his clinic does not offer an airport pick up and hotel booking service etc. This is the norm for clinics in Turkey and Europe and other countries should really start offering such a service. It can really help take away a lot of the stress and hassle associated with travelling to an unfamiliar part of the world for surgery.

  8. Ricky I have been on w h a t c l i n i c and dr cinik has good reviews.. what experience do you have of HLD clinic and Dr Keser please, as I cant find reviews

I have not personally had hair transplant surgery to date, but have done quite a lot of research over the years. I would strongly encourage you to do some more research before jumping into a procedure like this. Why are you so keen on these doctors? Why aren't you looking at others with a more proven record of success? Are you trying to get it done 'cheaply'?

  9. A couple of guys on here recently underwent procedures with Dr Cinik.. If you do a search for the key word 'cinik', these and other threads will come up. I believe he operates a tech only clinic and I would steer clear if I were you. Never heard of the other doctor.,, If you insist on going to Turkey Dr Erdogan is recommended on this forum and is an excellent surgeon. You could also consider Dr Keser or HLC Clinic

  10. I have a different approach to this .

I have been vocal in many posts before this , that HT looses its Bulky density at around 12 months post the Transplant , till now I have not got a convincing answer .

Now if you look at your HT at months 6 - 8 I do notice some decent density and what seems likely to be a Good End Result , then Bang there comes a time where you show loosing Hair in the Shampoo , and after that I suppose it was all downhill ,

This exactly has been observed by many patients , stellar growth then a downfall in Density.

I hope you agree with me on this , That the excitement is short lived and these hair loose density . can you please give us your experience on this ?

I think the angle the photo was taken and the lighting may have made the 6 month result look a lot denser than it really was.. Doesn't make much sense that he can be in a worse position at 11 months than he was at 6 and I'm sure that isn't the case.
