I’m very happy. In hindsight I would get another 500-1,000 grafts for a bit more density but I’m still very satisfied nonetheless.
My transplant was more than 3 years ago so I’m sure the quote above is more accurate.
That's great. Did he give you the option of giving it more density at the time?

You must be thrilled how it turned out yeah man? What amount does Dr Parh charge per FUE graft? Cheers

This is such a great result. Fantastic to see it maintain such great density after so long! I ended up having a small procedure done in Australia given the border restrictions and lockdown but will consider Dr Path for sure if I have to get a top up. Curious as to when you started to see the growth come through...such a dramatic difference between the week 7 mark and the 7 month mark!
I'm currently at the 7 week mark with most of my grafts now shed and also some loss to my existing native hair due to the shock of the HT I believe - so hoping will see the pick up come through like yours post 7 week mark haha
Where in Aus did you have your surgery man?

I believe this doctor is more known and respected for his FUT work. However, I've seen quite a few very nice looking FUE results from him of late.
Where would you rank his FUE results among other leading surgeons?
Cheers

Hi Dr Pathomvanich. How much do you charge per FUE graft? I have very similar hair loss to this.

How are things coming along now?

That is an awesome result. Anyone know how much he charges per FUE graft?

Looking great mate! About 18 months ago I believe these were Dr Pekiner's prices:
Hair transplantation with full shave: 2,25 € / graft
Hair transplant without shave: 2,75 € / graft
Also gives a discount of € 0.25 per graft if you allow him to publish your photos
Are they still the same at this now?
Cheers

Hi DoctorOctopus do you have any update for us? Cheers

Look into HLC as well. They have been producing amazing results for many years. Likely going there myself in a few months.
-
Looks excellent and should continue to thicken up even more in coming months! I'm particularly interested in your case as I see you did not use propecia... What was the doctors thoughts on this? Did you notice any shock loss in either the donor or recipient areas?

I’m planning to have a HT in Turkey later in the year. Being from Australia, it will be a long trip (over 20 hours each way) and will involve transit stops in one or more asian/middle eastern countries. These could include Singapore, Malaysia, UAE and Qatar.
I don’t want to sound too paranoid, but I have read some extraordinary stories of people being arrested and doing years of jail time for carrying medication through Dubai (even if they are in transit and have a doctor’s prescription). In fact, a number of websites state that it is not safe to take any medicines with you to the UAE and other Gulf countries.
Has anyone ever had any issues carrying painkillers or hair loss medication etc through these regions?

Just a beautiful and age appropriate hairline design..

How are things coming along man?

Definitely NO! If he is allowed back this forum loses all credibility as far as I'm concerned.

Feel for you man...I can't believe people keep going to this guy... Have barely seen any decent results from this clinic that have been posted by actual patients.. Very concerning.

Dear vmoney
For being a half Turkish. I have loads of friends and family members in Istanbul. Yes I do agree that Koray Erdogan is greatest HT surgeon in whole Turkey. A very intelligent international HT figure however his price sometimes is quite high comparing to other surgeons.
My second choice will be Dr. Serkan Aygin. He is extremely talented as I have seen outstanding results face to face. I was surprised and astonished. Almost more than 5 live results. He charges only 1500 Euro and will utilize beard hair as well if necessary for first session.
HARIRI, what are your thoughts on HLC Hairline Clinic and Dr. Ozgur Oztan?
I'm also surprised to see you rate Dr Serkan Aygin so highly, as I have read some extremely negative things about his clinic on this forum.

You would be crazy to have surgery done in Australia for a number of reasons (namely the overall low quality and extremely high cost). Have a good read through this thread http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/142556-australian-members.html.. Should give you some better ideas. Cheers

Update - I've received a bunch of different opinions and quotes from both Australian and overseas.
The most graphs quoted was approx 3000 from Erdogan, he suggested that I'd need more single and double graphs for a natural hairline due to having thick hair.
Path suggested 2300 graphs, the Australian doctors both suggested less than 2k.
I've decided to go to Erdogan / Turkey based on his FUE technique being one of the best as well as the reviews and pictures I've seen. I'm excited.
Flights are currently on sale for $1050 return so I've booked in for November.
Ricky, Probably a 2A. I was told I have a receding hairline, deep temple area and thinning hair at the U turn area behind the forelock but my coverage on the crown and elsewhere is good. You were right - more than 2k required and I've attached some more photos. When my hair is at a medium length I'm able to disguise the thinning fairly well but it reached a point where it was bothering me so I cut it short.
I will start my own thread when I have the procedure, thanks everyone for the advice, hopefully it is successful.
As already said great decision going with Dr Erdogan...definitely one of the best FUE surgeons in the world. Best of luck and keep us updated with your progress.

Also, not sure who told you you are a NW2, but I believe you would be at least a norwood 4 or 4a (hard to tell for sure from your pic..) You will likely need a lot more than 2000 grafts to get decent coverage.
-
My opinion is that you should avoid having a HT in Aus at all costs. Incredibly expensive and more likely than not, the quality of the result will not be as good as it could have been. Search these forums and do some further research online about HTs in Australia and I'm sure you will come to the same conclusion.
Travelling to to see Dr Path (or another recommended doctor) is a much much better option.
