  1. 27 year old mother of two came to us requesting a solution for thinning hair in her temples. She gave a history of using hair extensions 10 years ago and she started noticing hair fall after subsequent use of hair extensions. She had lost her confidence completely and she was left with no other option but to persist with the extensions.

After extensive counselling it appeared her expectations were quite reasonable. We managed to do subtle improvement by replacing 600 grafts / 1710 hair.

The story was so moving that it was featured in prime time TV (ITV This Morning).

She is very happy with the results and the follow up is scheduled in the near future.

  2. Hi Mickey,

    Point taken.

Actually it was once we started enquiring about getting a recommendation that I started amending our practice of taking better quality pics and I believe this has helped us in getting a lot of consistency with the pictures. I shall be thankful to Bill for insisting that we show consistency with our pics as Dr Reddy never really paid any attention to pics before.

My objective with asking the questions was more educational as my understanding was that it was best practice not to take hair from the non permanent zone. However as it appears there might be some logic in taking hair higher up as the yield might be significantly higher and we can qualify more patients for FUE as Dr Reddy turns them down as he is not comfortable extracting beyond the safe zone.

Lastly, we are constantly looking at improving our practice and I was impressed by how well the donor area looked despite extraction of a large quantity of grafts and in one instance it looked fuller after extraction. My question is if Dr Erdogan uses some kind of microcellular matrix or even stem cells to improve wound healing and tissue regeneration in the donor area?

I have heard conflicting evidence and would like more input on this issue in order for us to amend our practice if its feasible.

I represent Dr Reddy and for some reason its not showing up on my post - any help would be much appreciated.

  3. I had a look at Dr Erdogans work and it looks solid from the photos posted. I have few concerns before recommending him though:

    1. My biggest concern is that Dr Erdogan extracts grafts from non permanent area. We never know how many transplanted grafts will actually stay.

    2. I would like to see patients with full face and before and after photos taken with the same light

    3. What is amazing that donor area after the transplant seems thicker than before. I am not sure if that is because of the light or patients are using some new medication that we are not aware of.

  4. 29 year old gentleman came to us with a Norwood 3 pattern of hair loss. Following a consultation with Dr Reddy he was counseled to use Propecia to stabilize his hair loss. He was followed up over a period of 12 months and was booked in for an FUE hair restoration surgery. After establishing his hair loss was stable, he was booked in for a FUE transplant. 1021 grafts were done in 1 day using manual extraction.

  5. Very nice work!!! You really should update your website!! I looked into having a procedure done with dr reddy 2 years ago and was put off by only 4 results on the website which weren't detailed and didn't change or have any new added for the next 12 months!! If you displayed more like you have on here I'm sure you would have had loads of uk patients!!! Some great examples have been shown here!

Thank you for kind comments. We have our completely new website up and running for almost a year. On the gallery page the results are being updated regularly.

  6. 46 year old gentleman with Norwood 3 presented to us requesting lowering his hairline. Following a consultation and extensive counseling, he was qualified for an FUE. 1471 Grafts were done in one day in areas 1-3. Age specific hairline was created. Following are photos of before the transplant, immediately after, 4 months after and 12 months after.

  7. 51 year old gentleman with Norwood 6 hair loss presented to us requesting improvement in to his hairline and crown. He wasn't keen on any maintenance therapy and was happy to undergo further restorative surgery in the future if needed.

Following a consultation with DR Reddy he was counselled to have a FUE surgery. He understood that we won't be having a low hairline as he wanted better density.

4843 grafts were transferred over two days. Attached are before, immediately after and 12 months after pictures.

  8. 34 year old gentleman with Norwood 4 came to us requesting restoration of his frontal and crown area. He had a stable family history of hair loss. He was not keen on taking Propecia as he had experienced some side effects in the past. He was happy to use minoxidil religiously as he understood the implications of further hair loss.

He was counseled for FUE surgery following a consultation with Dr Reddy. 2437 grafts were transferred to frontal and crown area in one session. Meticulous attention was paid to preserve maximum hair in the donor area.

  10. Very nice. I see the pictures of the original hair transplant, doctor, but could you please describe in your own words the problems with the original hair transplant and why you opted for additional density rather than any corrective surgery?

    Thank you.

This gentleman opted for a Fut as he was counselled by the previous clinic that the outcomes with Fut were better. He was not happy both with the density & the angles of the hair from his first ht. Having met a client of Dr Reddy at his workplace, he came for a consult.

A few options were discussed during the consult. He wanted better density & a natural looking hairline. Dr Reddy established that he had a very stable family hx of hair loss and he was on Propecia for over 3 yrs with no side effects and was happy staying on it for the foreseeable future.

The procedure itself was unremarkable. He had tight scalp and very straight grafts and we could achieve dense packing. Though there was an element of scarring in the recipient site, there was very little popping of grafts.

He did request a scar correction as well. But the procedure been scheduled for a later date due to logistics of him having to lie on his back post surgery.

  11. I guess there are surgeons that offer the same (or higher) quality for a (much) cheaper price, but the results seem to be quite solid, also he has got numerous very good results on his homepage, so I would definitely welcome him on here!

@Hariri: The price depends on "size of the session, nature of the hair, areas and density that needs to be addressed" according to the user "KR", that is representing him here. I asked in which ranges the price can be, and the answer was that the "average" price is about 6 GBP, which currently is over 9 USD (!)

And if that`s the average price, then what`s the price on the upper end of the range?!? 12, 13 dollars??

That`s my point, I simply think he charges way too much.

Whoever is able and wants to afford that rate, I would not advise him not to go with Dr. Reddy, because I think the quality is very good, and that`s what counts in the end.

I firmly believe in the fact that what you pay is what you get. The price of 6pound per graft is averaged based on what we charge for afro-carribean patients and non shaven patients and clients requesting to have work done in evenings and weekends.

Though most of our clients are very high profile and request for a lot of anonymity, this needs to be factored in as well. On top of this we have a highly trained and loyal team of technicians who expect to be payed meaningful wages in one of the most expensive cities in the world.

From our extensive experience in this industry no client of ours has chosen a competitor over us for the sake of the price. Becides, Dr Reddy is very emphatetic thowards hair loss sufferers and does his best to be accomodative with the price.

  12. nice result. was that achieved in 1 day session or over 2 days? does the dr use manual or motorized punch, if motorized, which tool does he use and what punch size is used. thx

It was a 2 day session. Dr Reddy prefers to use a manual punch over motorized punches because he believes that the quality of the grafts is much better with manual extraction. It was combination of 1mm and 0.9mm.

  13. KR,

Thanks for presenting this example of Dr. Reddy's results. However, showing only one after photo of the hairline isn't enough to truly evaluate and appreciate the result. Please present some additional photos showing the scalp at a 45 degree angle and the top of the scalp. Also, close-up pictures would be helpful as well.

    Best wishes,

    Bill

    Hi Bill,

I understand and I would show more photos but unfortunately we do not have more because the patient never came for a follow up. I will post results only with more photos from now on.
