There STILL is no reason to be worried at this stage, in contrary, just compare the pictures from now and from some few weeks ago. Especially the right side looks very good yet. The gaps will fill in, I`m pretty sure about this. And then you will experience another wave of new growth, while the existing hairs will mature and thicken. I say that you will have an at least slightly above average result, but surely satisfying (as long as you didn`t have unrealistic expectations..).

Wait at least until month 9 or 10 until you start to judge and cry If you`re not satisfied then, you can then re-evaluate the situation and maybe consider a little touch up.

But now PLEASE just sit back, relax, and wait for things to develop (and I know that`s the most hard part ) No worries

Hard to tell any difference. Which are the before photos and which are after ?

It`s actually the usual pattern: Pic 1 Before, Pic 2 After, Pic 3 Before, Pic 4 After and so on... I also had problems at first sight, but again: Look carefully at the pictures; you will notice a difference (and it`s not only that the patient has a tan on the after pictures )

When distributing such a low amount of grafts over such a large area, this is what to expect exactly.

Dr. Arocha, thank you for your thorough explanation, it is highly appreciated. You`re right that it`s obvious, and I have no problem with "including" a wet before picture, but I still don`t understand the reason why not to also add a dry before picture. I don`t see any reason as to why not...

That said, it doesn`t hinder the result being impressive, I just wanted to have that mentioned in my function as the forums nitpicker

Very refined work, the hairline looks perfectly natural to me..

I don`t know what he did expect, but for 1200 grafts on the area this is exactly what a good transplant should look like. I also appreciate the exact same conditions in before and after pictures.

Excellent yield, doesn`t get any better! Just out of curiosity; is the patient planning for a second session?

Very good result imo, the amount of grafts is huge, and the crown didn`t get covered at all, but it`s a reasonable approach imo. I look forward to further presentations of your clinic.

Do you have any pictures of immediate post op, it would be highly interesting to see how they placed the grafts etc. Also any further detail as to the instruments they used etc.

Imo if everything was as you described, this is a case for a lawyer, and you should definitely win, at least according to the laws here in Germany.

I think this thread should finally come to a civil and constructive conversation tone. With all respect, what does it matter what clothes were worn during the procedure, or what the customer ate before the procedure.. Both participants here display a childlike behaviour imo. It is entertaining, but they should be aware that it`s not to their benefit to loose temper like this in a public forum.

Apart from that, I really don`t see an indication on the pictures that "britboy" received the service that he payed for, and this is what counts in the end.

Thus, I invite David Campbell to provide a substantiated and adult-like counter-argument as to why he feels that "britboy" did get a professional and complete SMP procedure.

Actually it`s very entertaining in here, I have my popcorn ready as soon as busa enters a thread I suggest him for "member of the month" for his artistic skills in bringing threads to that kind of fruition...

I would have pointed that out as well, because it renders the evaluation of the result impossible, whether it is in favor of or in disadvantage to the clinic. If the media manager of Dr. Wesley would have published it the other way around, Dr. Wesley rightly so would have had reason to zing him internally.

I am not perfectly sure how familiar you are with this place, but legitimate and lastly constructive criticism is what made this forum so popular and credible over the years.

Even established clinics like Dr. Wesley`s have to accept critical questions.

I am not in any way implying that the result is bad, in contrary, but it is generally imperative to present both pre and post op pictures displaying the same conditions.

Thanks, I`d really appreciate it. I also agree that the effect would be due to maturation only, and that it will be observable rather in the crown area. Still curious as to any showcases To me it remains a myth until I`ve seen at least one credible example.

You`re right actually, with 1500 grafts this is probably the result you have to expect, but my point was rather in regards the approach itself, and I wondered why to present such a result as a showcase when applying for recommendation, rather than results which showcase natural and aesthetical density and hairlines. I am also a friend of conservative approaches, but as far as I know, the most dense Dr. de Reys is placing the grafts is about 40 (except the hairline, where he puts up to 50 I think). While he surely has his reasons, I`d like to also see some cases which prove that he is capable to perform large sessions, and densepacking, (just as the recommendation guidelines require it to my knowlege) in a representative number of cases. Imo this should be a matter of fact and not required to request for...

Busa, can you link me to cases which display a considerable progress from 12 months on? I don`t know of any, so thanks

I`d consider Turkey as well if I were you. You have a 2 dollar budget/graft if you opt for 4000 grafts, so this would exclude all docs in Belgium actually. Maral maybe?
