  1. I had 2 hair transplants now with Dr. Yazdan. I documented my case and experience on this site back in 2013. I can say that I had an excellent outcome with Dr. Yazdan. I went back and had a 2nd procedure to add more density into my crown. He had told me prior to surgery that he recommended 2 surgeries for me so it wasn't a surprise going back a 2nd time. Since my surgery I have referred 3 people to Dr. Yazdan. My brother, my roommate, and my best friend. They all had very good results. Maybe its possible you lost your natural hair and didnt see the difference from the transplant. All I can say is my experience was fantastic and so has been everyone that I have referred to him.
  2. I would definitely recommend Dr. Yazdan. He's located in Orange County, California. I had my strip procedure with him 5 months ago. My hairline and hair density really turned out great! He's a really approachable doctor and I felt comfortable talking to him and asking questions. From what I have heard scars heal on a per person basis (varying on your skin type and tone) but my scar line actually has hairs growing out of it so it's barely noticeable. Good luck in making your decision! Though its a scary process, I am definitely really happy I decided to go through with it!
  3. Yeah, that's him. I went to a few consultations and all I can say it that I just really liked him the best. I recommend that you guys go see him, at least for a consultation. They're free so you have nothing to lose. My personal experience with him was great, and I am extremely happy. Dudewheresmyhairdude, I got a strip done. When I look through my hair now, I can't even tell where my incision was. The thing about Dr. Yazdan that really sold me was just how personable he was. He even gave me him personal cell number after my procedure and said that I could call him if I had any issues through the night. I'm not the type of person to abuse an offer like that, but just knowing that I had the option was really reassuring. He was as committed to seeing my surgery through as I was. So all I can say from what I have experienced is that I picked the best doctor and consequently I have exceptional results. Dudewheresmyhairdude, I'll personally message you with more information as well.
  4. I went to a doctor in Southern California and I am extremely happy with my results! I agree with you on wanting to meet with your doctor in person, etc...This is a huge commitment and you want someone who's going to be there with you along the journey. I shared my experience on an earlier thread: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/169763-sharing-my-experience.html but basically I went to Dr. Yazdan, he's located in Orange County. I know there are other doctors in the Southern California area but from my personal experience I am really glad I chose to go to him! My hairline and the amount of grafts I got were exactly what we had discussed. I was able to meet with him for post ops and come to him with any questions that I had. (I had a slight "Crap, did I pull all my grafts out in my sleep" scare but he told me that I was fine). This is a big investment both personally and financially so make sure you do your research and good luck!
  5. He is! I saw that article too, it was really touching
  6. By no means trying to sound bias but I've had a great after care experience with my doctor. I went to Dr. Yazdan at the Modena Hair Transplant Institute in Orange County. I posted an earlier thread about my experience but for the most part since my procedure I've seen him a couple times and at one point I had a question for him so I called the office and he was in surgery but he got back to me within the day. He's been really friendly and approachable so I'm very happy.
  7. Hey TomCruise! Thanks, I am definitely happy with my hairline. As I mentioned in my post above, I went to him because his office was close to where I live. I actually had not heard about him through the forums. The forums have been a support system for me and a method of gathering research. They helped me know what questions to ask (I'm sure you've seen the threads that detail the information you should gather from your doctor), and what I was expected to get into in terms of the procedure. The forums were the first outlet I turned to when I had started looking into this. Manny13245- This is all pretty recent, but I would say it took around 5 days and hairz thank you! It's 3,400 grafts!
  8. Some more of my befre pics for you everyone
  9. Hey Chrisdav, I mentioned a few reasons above on why I picked him.I first went into my consultation with him because he was nearby my house so I figured I had nothing to lose. In the waiting room I had met one of his patients who was leaving from a post op check up and his work looked awesome so I was really interested at that point. On the forums I had gathered a list of questions to ask doctors when I went in. He honestly took his time with me and answered every question I had. The other doctors made me feel more rushed. Obviously this procedure is a really big deal and has been an issue for my self esteem for a long time now. So when I could just tell that Dr. Yazdan actually cared and was very real I just felt comfortable and knew he was the right doctor for me. It has been a very personal experience for me so far, and I'm really happy with my choice. If you want my opinion, I recommend him, I mean just look at my work done its awesome!
  10. So here is my story. I first want to say thank you for all the posts that have helped me during this journey. I made my decision and I could not be happier and that is why I want to share it with you all. I wouldn't have been able to make this journey without all the help I have received from this and other blogs! I went to three different consultations and I chose to go with Dr. Yazdan at the Modena Center in Orange County. There are several reasons why I chose him as my doctor. The most important thing for me was that I felt comfortable with my doctor, and that is definitely how I felt with him. At the other locations I went to I felt rushed and like I was just another one of the 100's. He answered every single question that I had, he took his time with me, everything he said made sense, and I had seen a prior patient of his and liked the work he did. His office was very clean and his staff was great. On the actual day of the procedure I was nervous at first, but everything went perfectly. I got 3,400 grafts, and what I REALLY liked is that he had a special counter that showed me exactly how many grafts I was getting so I knew I wasn't being ripped off! That was definitely reassuring. I really didn't feel any pain. And the doctor and his staff were constantly making sure I was comfortable and well. I've gone for post opps with Dr. Yazdan and everything so far has been going as anticipated! I am very happy with my results and I look forward to my recovery journey. I know that if I have any post op questions I can reach out to you guys, and I really look forward to it! I am trying to attach pictures but for some reason I can't attach more than 1...if anyone can advise me of how I could attach more I could show you guys everything I got done!
